Went here for my first, first-class AME and was surprised by how great the service was, especially for a medical establishment. I got in and out in about half an hour (with an appointment) and the doctor was super down to earth and approachable. I had to call back in regarding some paperwork, and an employee named Beth was extremely responsive after I left a voicemail with an email address instead of a callback number. I'll be coming back here for all of my AMEs.

Worst place to get your medical done for immigration! They messed up on the forms and then immigration wouldn’t let me get further for the green cards and we have to do the medical forms again and they want to charge me again and tell me it’s because they only messed up on the vaccination form not the whole complete form. The doctor doesn’t seem to understand that because they messed up on the vaccination part I have to redo the entire form and shouldn’t have to pay again because of their mess up. However she thinks it justified for me to pay again because they have to redo the medical part too. (I wouldn’t have to do the medical part IF YOU didn’t mess up in the first place! How difficult is that to understand?

I had the most unpleasant experience here. Front desk office staff were rude, condescending, judgmental, and unhelpful. They would scoff and roll their eyes at any extra request or task that was needed of them. I had to change my address for some FAA correspondences, and they said “ugh this again”. The doctor was just as bad if not worse. It was clear he did not want to be there. Again, rude, condescending, unhelpful, and truly did not care an ounce about his patient. He barged into the examination room with no knock, no hello, no “my name is..”. Cannot believe I paid $150 here with no resolution or guidance on what to do next. The only shining star here (and he really was) was the nurse/assistant that took my vitals and such. He was so sweet and helpful and guided his patient through the entire process.

I went there for DOT physical and drug screen. Original wait was not too bad. Later I received a call from my employer saying the doctor forgot to do a test and I could just drop in the following day. To my surprise I was not expected and had to wait with 20 people infront of me so they could do a test they forgot. Not a customer friendly place. I also had an extremely long wait for the urinalysis.

I went here for a renewal of my 3rd class aviation medical. I arrived on a Wed at 9:45a, was taken back to start exam by 9:50a, exam completed, and standing outside the building again by 10:30a. Quick, excellent service, friendly employees. Not sure why the other reviewer had trouble, but I suspect that person is simply impatient and perhaps feels entitled that everyone should drop what they are doing to wait on him/her. Again, my experience here was excellent!

I've had a few encounters here over the last 19 years in Denver and this is what I have to say: They've always done the right thing. You won't get the bum's rush like Concentra or others. These folks care about your health and well-being and don't send you back to work after a few weeks because insurance company thinks it's the right thing to do... Aviation and occupational medicine does what they think is the right thing to do. My recent workers comp injury I told the adjuster to send me here and she did. She's in California she didn't know what to do because she only has a couple of accounts here in Denver but I knew what to do! I knew I would be treated correctly. After the last X amount of months that's exactly what has been going on. These are good people. They do the right thing You ever get hurt at work and have the opportunity or option to come here, make sure you do so. That's my opinion anyway. Thanks for reading.

I made an appointment for my FAA medical certificate so I can start my IFR training after 10 years. When I called the office I told the receptionist that I wanted to make an appointment for my Third class medical certificate and she told me that it would cost the same amount if I got First class instead and all I needed was an EKG. So, I go this morning and she tells me that she can change the paperwork from Third to First class and she did. Then I go thru the visual and physical examination. I am presented with $200 instead of $115. When I questioned, they tell me that $85 was for EKG by a front desk person and this receptionist was no where to be seen. Then they tell me that the First Class medical is valid for a year but if I don't renew it will be valid for Second class and then to Third class on the third year. I haven't checked this and I will but I get the feeling that they are pulling another fast one. I will not be going there in the future and I want every airmen/airwomen to be aware of this business. I realize it was my lack of knowledge coupled with their dishonesty. So be aware!! I was told it would take 20 min and it took over an hour.

Amazing Customer Service. Needed a USCG Captains exam / physical. Hard to find a company / provider of that. Was referred to this company by a United Airline pilot who has been using them for years. Tony helped us up front with all the paperwork and forms. When we arrived for our appointments, we were professionally greeted, and within 30 minutes were done. Amazing. Highly recommended. Michael

Have been using Aviation and Occupational Medicine for several years. The doctors and staff have always treated me with professionalism and courtesy. Now having the option to call ahead and make appointments has saved me time. I still have the option to use their walk in service as well if needed! Staff has always answered my questions about insurance coverage and helped me with the most cost effective ways to pay for visits.

I had a complete rupture of my quadriceps tend while on the job. Dr Ladwig and his staff were great. Very helpful and understanding. Two employers have used them as their work men's comp Doctors. Far and away the best.

Not sure about the other BROWN NOSER'S who wrote reviews before me but obviously they where paid to write a favorable review or given freebies by Aviation and Occupational Health and in the beginning Dr. Ladwig and his staff where very friendly but soon afterwards it was clear to me that those who work at Aviation and Occupational Health have some serious complacency issues and their whole staff is rife with medical errors and often gave out inaccurate data, or phone numbers and address's and then wouldn't hesitate to notify the employer of a missed appointment even though their staff FAILED MISERABLY to notify the patient of any switch in dates or times....and I don't know how many times I was told by those who scheduled future appointments at Dr. Ladwigs office that they tried to reach me or had mailed me letters of notifications and each time I asked what number they had called or what address they had mailed the notifications too and each time I was given the wrong information or it had been entered into the computer wrongfully!! Talk about below average service their wait times are horrendous and often I was shown to a private room where I was made to wait another 20 minutes or more for the physician to finally come in and see me at their leisure!! The last straw was when I found out that Dr. Ladwig and his staff where sharing private medical information without a signed medical release given with the Physical Therapy unit in house and had written in my medical chart (viewed by the Physical Therapist) that I needed to have therapy right away on the WRONG injury which we where still waiting on an upcoming MRI because they where not sure how bad the initial injury was!! Totally Incompetent Medical Service!!
