Probably the best eye exam I've ever had! Dr. Martin is extremely knowledgeable and kind, explained everything in detail about my prescription and answered ally questions about my medical history. The staff were all extremely helpful and nice as well. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This review has positives and negatives. They harass you for a large payment before the claim has been processed. I don’t have a copay and always pay my bill after EOB is issued by insurance. None of my other providers try to shake me down at my other appointments. They try to get you to sign a HIPAA release where you agree to them sharing your information for research and marketing to third parties. Um, no! That is an abuse of patient privacy. The 1st technician was a fantastically friendly young man who is clearly passionate about his job. The 2nd technician didn’t call me by my preferred name and was snippy when I corrected her. Is it so hard to read a patient’s chart for five seconds to call them by their preferred name and make them feel at ease? Dr. Goldhair was rushed and gruff. The scan of my eye in question failed 2X. At which point she was willing to bail on the imaging scan and say that she wasn’t worried. If I’m paying for an imaging scan, lets please get a good scan for reference for next year. They shouldn’t dilate patient’s eyes right before sunset. It was very difficult to drive home when every light turned into a giant starry halo. I wish that Mile High Eye Institute was still in my network. Their exam included more tests and I was evaluated by an optometrist in addition to the ophthalmologist.

UPDATED REVIEW: I love ICON Eyecare! I have been a patient of ICON for eye health and care since my first laser surgery about 25 years ago. The staff is so professional and helpful. I have had the best doctors at ICON over the years, but recently my favorite doctor is no longer there. But FEAR NOT! I can't even believe it, but my newest doctor is even a step above my most favorite eye doctors. Dr. Seamus Martin is so kind, he really takes the time to listen to my concerns and looks for innovative ways to help me. I have struggled with dry eye issues for many years. I have duct plugs and even tried different treatments like plasma drops. But Dr. Martin gave me a brand-new treatment of steroid drops which got rid of my dry eyes in two weeks. Let me say that again... no dry eyes in TWO WEEKS! He is a great doctor and I feel so blessed to be able to work with him! I have some other issues I need to address, and Dr. Martin is right there with me, brain churning, to find the best possible newest most innovative treatment available to me. Everyone I work with at ICON is great, but if you're lucky enough to book with Dr. Martin in Golden, do it!

I got PRK through icon and, while I had the surgery itself at another location, the level of care before and after at the Golden office has been next level! Dr. Martin is so kind and attentive, the office staff (especially Jeff) always takes care of you and are so friendly and wonderful! Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend, the Staff are very Respectful & Helpful, and my Doctor Goldhaire was Excellent and took care of me and answered all my questions in regards to pre-surgey & after! Eye sight in my right eye is at 20, a week out of Surgery, just as good as my left eye, and no more Cataracts!

I have been going to ICON Eyecare since 2017. They have always taken great care of me. I had to have cataracts removed on both eyes in '17. Everything was great then and it's been great every year since.

Just had my second cataract taken out and the staff at ICON was efficient and friendly simultaneously. They kept me informed about what was happening and Dr. Goldhair did an exceptional job of keeping me informed about the surgery and how it was progressing. I couldn't recommend a medical group more highly than ICON EyeCare

EDIT - 1 star:I was given a "free" consultation to consider Lasik surgery. It was listed all over their website and I confirmed on arrival and after the exam if there was anything I needed to pay for. Well a week later I get a bill for $165 and then I try calling them to ask why. Robocall and then straight to a "no one can take your call, leave a callback number". So after 7 attempts over several weeks I sent an email as well and have not heard anything. Don't even consider going here as they have lost my trust entirely by not being upfront about the costs, I'm not trusting them with my eyes. 3 Star: They've called me and removed the bill from my account and said that it was a misunderstanding and that I shouldn't have been billed. Still think the evidence above speaks for itself with their customer support but make your own decisions.

This place is great. Everything ran very smoothly. Dr. Seamus Martin was very thorough and friendly. He went above and beyond providing excellent information and advice. I never knew that Icon eyecare had such cute doctors. Lucky me!

Diana, the Tech, was very friendly and did her work quite efficiently. Dr. Katie Goldhair has been my eye doctor for several years and I like her very much. She explained some things to me that I did not understand. She's very busy but took her valuable time to answer questions. So appreciated. Always look forward to going in for my annual Diabetic checkup to see them both again. my rating is for 5 stars!

All the staff is considerate and professional. Plenty of time is spent during exams so concerns can be addressed; exams and treatment are thorough. Patients can feel confident they are receiving only the best care at all levels visiting this group of professionals.

I made my annual appointemt, took time off work and drove across town with the expectation of getting my contact exam and new contacts. Unfortunately, I was informed that they had previously identified me as "self pay" and un-insured. When I shared with them my eye insurance info they would not accept it. They knew I was no longer covered under their insurance partners, it would have been nice of them to let me know when I made my appointment or at least given me a call to let me know so I could react appropriately. Not very professional.

Dr Martin is a great communicator and answers any questions patiently and thoroughly. He is very competent and professional. I highly recommend him!

I trust Dr Goldhair implicitly. She inspires confidence with her thorough explanations and expertise. She was recommended by my ophthalmologist for a procedure five years ago, and it went so well that I was more than ready to have the other cataract finally removed.

Dr. Goldhair has been the only eye doctor that has successfully helped me with my dry eye issues. The tear care treatment works very well. They've had supply issues with getting the product in, make sure they have it before scheduling an appointment.

I've had an absolutely amazing experience at ICON Eye care in Golden. Everyone: front desk, technicians, doctors and surgery scheduler were extremely nice and professional. They explained everything in ways that I could understand. I had cateract surgery on an eye that had zero vision and 3 weeks later I have 20/40 vision in the eye!! I definitely recommend ICON Eye Care in Golden/Lakewood.

Everyone at ICON Eyecare - Golden were very friendly and warm to talk with. The whole appointment was very comfortable. Dr. Goldhair was great to talk to. She made sure how I was doing and managing the medication for my Glaucoma. I feel very secure with Dr. Goldhair checking my eyes twice a year.

Dr Seamus, Alexis, Cynthia and Stacy provided perfect service for me during my yearly eye exam. Dr Seamus is well-spoken and his bedside manner truly made me feel like I was his only patient that day. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and I left understanding my current eye health. The women up front are warm, efficient and professional. Alexis also provided me with wonderful and personable service while performing the standard eye tests.

Wow! This is the most efficient medical practice I have ever experienced. Within 5 days of diagnosing the vision problem, a simple painless laser procedure restored my vision to 20/15. A perfect medical experience!

Doctors at the practice are some of the best - but the admin staff is wildly incompetent. If can you actually chat with the doctor, amazing care, thorough, and professional. For me, not worth the headache. Full text: Doctor prescribed medication, and the admin staff did not send pre-auth, did not communicate with pharmacy or insurance, and did not inform me of manufacturer discounts available - this particular scrip was $800 cash price, $600 after insurance, or ZERO after mfg discounts - every 30 days, for continued use. Significant issue for most patients i would imagine. As it usually goes with insurance, coordination of benefits falls on the patient, and i spent an hour or two each day following up with this office repeatedly to get them to do respond to requests from insurance and the pharmacy. I had to go full Karen on a daily basis, and it felt awful. Finally I was at a loss and made an appointment online to see the doctor, since the front desk gatekeepers wouldn't even transfer me to his voicemail. Dr was embarrassed, apologetic, and went above and beyond to help get everything back on track. When treatment was done, and I tried to order contacts - you guessed it - calling daily for a week, just to get the contacts specialist to return your calls and place your order. ...... and then they charge $10 for shipping. Frontier Airlines of eye care. Sad to see the admin staff, who have the most interactions with patients be so different than their physician team.

Dr. Goldhair and her team were as excellent as they come. I had cataract surgery at lone tree and I saw them at Golden. They are all an excellent, caring bunch of people! I would recommend them to anyone, they're amazing I will never use anyone else. My vision is now 20/20. Amazing life difference!! ❤️
