I waited 20minutes to get help from someone to be able to get the shoes in my size. Then they brought me the wrong size and when I raised this issue they told me to queue again. This store is seriously understaffed and thus, provides a horrible shopping experience. I really hope management does something, otherwise they are going to lose customers.

Really dissapointing experience today, I shopped in store, bought some kitchen tools and throw them under the pushchair. I kept browsing and decided to buy a waste bin, I reach the counter and the cashier asked if I paid the other products under the pushchair, I replied yes, and I looked for the receipt, which I couldn’t find, I said I can show you on the app as I scanned my membership, not updated, the cashier went to bring reinforcement- another colleague/manager or so, left me with a junior cashier, I showed her my Banking app which was showing the purchase, I found after the receipt too and show it to her, the gentlemen comes and he says “are you sure it’s ok? “ to his colleague. The attitude was really very rude and no empathy or apology from his side, I was cool until he went to check for reinforcement. Disgusting behaviour. I came back to the counter and returned all products, left such a bitter taste the experience, never again shopping in JL. Such a shame as I really liked shopping there.

Superb customer service from the team in The TV department and particular mention to Prince who not only walked me from the till to the collection point, but went into the back and got my TV and Soundbar for me, then put it on a trolley and pushed it across the car park to my car. But as the box was too big to fit he helped me take it out of the box taking great care to reposition the packing so it was safe and secure in the boot. What a star he is, I tried to tip him but he wouldn’t accept saying it was just part of the service. Exceptional young man who deserves to be recognised, well done JLP.

Had a fantastic experience with the manager (I believe his name is Ricardo?) at Sunglasses area within John Lewis Chelmsford. He took the time, gave expertise and clear advice on which Raybans to buy. He was working alone during a busy bank holiday but we never felt rushed. 10/10 customer service. Thank you so much!

Always efficient polite service. A good size, well stocked store with an adjacent carpark (Bond Street). Prices are much higher than elsewhere but that reflects the quality of the products sold

Very happy with my Estee Lauder purchase and with 20% discount the item was cheaper than Boots, by £6.

How the Crown Slips We visited the store yesterday to get a gift for our Granddaughter and also to purchase some lighting. We decided after doing this to get some light lunch from the in store Cafe. We chose the Tomato soup with Crusty roll. The firstly spoonful of soup made us realise it was barely warm. So I returned the 2 bowls of soup to complain. Surprisingly they were not replaced but I was offered the use of the microwave to reheat them, followed by a patronising member of staff to teach me how to use the microwave. Not wishing to embarrass myself in store I went along with this farce probably to the amazement of other diners in the Cafe. Never, ever in all the places that I have visited from the most extravagant in Dubai to the humblest in Haiti have I experienced an issue like this. Well John Lewis and Partners , you can shove your high class department store "where the Sun don't shine" Because for customer service you are by far the " Worse in the World"

Mix of staff. Some polite and friendly, then you have a member of staff who just walks and stops in front of you whilst you are browsing! Shop looks great; JL always do. Food in the café was really nice.

Wanted a new iPhone. All types and colours available at Chelmsford store. Andrew carried out my data transfer. Didn’t take long and he was extremely helpful, making sure I knew how everything worked before I left A very positive experience and I’m very happy with the service received 😊

Great store, very competitive prices for white goods, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly and even has direct undercover access from a large understore car park. A1

Cafe was a little dirty, food on the floor and none of the tables cleaned. The store itself, smaller than I am used to but the staff still very willing to assist. From now on however i will visit Lakeside or Cambridge since the selection of products and furniture to view in this store is limited in my opinion.,

Amazing service from technical department. My phone run out of battery I couldn’t get through to my partner. They let me charge my phone quickly and was really friendly and polite. Thank you so much it ment a lot them letting me charge my phone as I was really stuck. Also whilst I’ve done my shopping all staff in beauty department and home department really polite professional and helpful Thank you John Lewis Chelsford. Other stores are usually not this polite, friendly or professional.

I was looking for a particular item not in stock. Staff were accommodating, friendly, engaging and explained how I could use the John Lewis app to make orders. Impressive store that I wil likely visit again.

We visited the place to eat. I was collecting a meal for my husband and myself. Grace came across and offered to take my tray. I explained I also needed coffee she took the second tray brought both to the table and me a glass of water. I hope someone will tell her how much I appreciated her help Eileen French

The Place to Eat continues to disappoint. Salad unavailable but couldn't provide as they didn't have the dressing. Could not serve without dressing! Menu stated cod but no cod only haddock. Menu stated at least choice of 2 soups, only one available. Cheerless and soulless restaurant ared.

Nice clean store. Lovely clean toilet. A bit expensive for my budget with all designer stuff but perfume counter is always a favorite

Went for lunch today at Chelmsford Branch of John Lewis and was very disappointed. The restaurant tables were cluttered with used cups and plates with left over food on them and the chairs and floor had food scattered everywhere. The staff team appeared not to have a clue what was available on the menu and were doing a multitude of jobs at once and not really caring about the restaurant or the paying customers. The self service coffee machine served cold coffee and tasted awful. Won't be dining there again as today's lunch was absolutely awful!! Shame as lunch in John Lewis used to be such a treat.

A great spaciously laid out store. Perfect for browsing and getting insperation. Good mix of exclusive products and down to earth priced "Everyday" items at very inexpensive prices. Worth joining their rewards App. Today was the store's Members Day with free Golden Ticket offers with membership card and a purchase.

Tanya was super helpful when I was trying to find some specific kitchen items from the John Lewis app in the store at Chelmsford. She was very informative and assisted in ensuring I was paying the best price as listed on both resources.
