Pineapple upside down pancakes! They’re great, you will have no regrets. The kid’s cinnamon swirl pancakes were excellent. We really like the breakfast sandwich in a biscuit with hot sausage, taste a lot like chorizo. Really friendly service and clean. Great stop for breakfast.

Amazing brunch spot! We got shrimp and grits and pancakes and they were both delicious! My husband was super impressed with the coffee, and their drinks are really great too! We're huge fans!

What an amazing experience my wife and I came for a different experience and definitely received that here. Our waitress was so amazing sheesh! She started off with one strike against her wearing a LSU Tiger shirt (joking, Go dawgs) however her attitude and knowledge of the menu was awesome! She really made is feel part of the family.

One of the best brunch spots around. Food is always delicious here. Tried the new summer specials and they were great. Don’t skip out on the fried green tomatoes. Our server Jillian was awesome, super sweet and made great recommendations.

This is my first time visiting Destin. I usually like to try new restaurants when I visit a different city/state. There’s a First Watch very close to the hotel in which I’m staying. However, I’ve been to First Watch several times in my home state (Texas). I was so excited to go to Ruby Slipper. I was the first and only person there at 7:15 on a Saturday morning. That should’ve been the first red flag. Katie was my waitress. She was super nice. I ordered the fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and a peach Bellini. The fried green tomatoes were okay, nothing to really be hyped about. The shrimp and grits were not good at all. Katie did tell me it would have a brown roux on the grits. I didn’t think it would be a big deal, but the brown roux was absolutely terrible. The grits were thin and runny. I only ate the shrimp. The biscuit that came with it was pretty good. The peach Bellini was okay. It was quite strong. Now what made me really mad was that I was not quite done with my peach Bellini. Katie asked if I wanted it to go and I said sure. I thought she was going to put the remainder of my peach Bellini in a plastic cup for me. However, she gave me a plastic cup with a new batch of peach Bellini. I thought oh how nice of her to just refill it with a new batch of peach Bellini. When I got my ticket, she charged me for another Peach Bellini. I didn’t make a big deal because I guess I should’ve asked and I was so ready to get out of there. Needless to say, I won’t be returning back to this place. The customer service is superb, but the food is subpar. I should’ve gone to First Watch and would’ve paid half of what I paid at Ruby slipper. I also encourage you to read the lower rated reviews. If I would’ve read them before going, then I would’ve just gone to First Watch. I’m definitely kicking myself in the butt for not going to First Watch.

We went at 7:45 on a Thursday- when we arrived it was pretty empty but within 15-20 minutes the place became busy and packed. Our server, Jerry, was awesome. We ordered the biscuits & gravy and the French toast bites with praline sauce. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and made us want to come back the next day for more. The French toast bites were good; the praline sauce had separated and wasn’t very sweet. Would recommend this restaurant and we will be back to try more things on the menu

Jillian was so helpful and pleasant. Food was AMAZING, and the restaurant is so cute and relaxing. My husband loved his omelet and biscuits, and the stuffed French toast was divine. We will definitely come again!
