UCHealth Urgent Care - Arvada West

Medical clinic Walk in clinic Urgent care center

😐 “urgent” is clearly optional for this facility. ONE person in front of me in line in the middle of the day on a work day and neither of us have been called back after being here for over an hour. I can barely stand due to my fever getting worse and worse as I wait in this room just listening to ever... People often mention care, urgent, wait, facility, patients, recommend, UCHealth, told,

“urgent” is clearly optional for this facility. ONE person in front of me in line in the middle of the day on a work day and neither of us have been called back after being here for over an hour. I can barely stand due to my fever getting worse and worse as I wait in this room just listening to everyone behind the counter chat and laugh as if there’s no patients in the waiting room. disgusting behavior and a clear representation of the oh so amazing American Healthcare system. thanks a lot, UCHealth. edited: changed this to 3 stars. turns out the nurses and doctors were absolutely appalled that I was told the wait was only 30 minutes since they knew full well that it was a 2+ hour wait, which I did end up waiting the full two hours. the doctor (David?) and the nurses were amazing and nice. front desk help? not so much.

There is nothing urgent about this urgent care. I reserved an urgent care spot online and arrived early. I waited an hour while watching others arrive after me and be taken in before me. One patient was taken back even before his scheduled time started (about 10 minutes early). Two patients waited less than 5 minutes before being called back. At times I was the only person in the waiting room. This was not a busy office. When I asked why 3 people went in ahead of me they said "they are primary care." I guess urgent care patients have to wait for all the primary care patients came and went (potentially til closing?). No mention on the website or at check-in that urgent care patients need to wait behind ALL primary care patients. This facility should remove urgent care from its name as there is nothing urgent about their care.

Torey told me, "The lab will call me in the middle of the night for abnormal results. I don't want to be woken up. I'm working the next 4 days, so... yeah." This was in response to one lab I requested because I was very symptomatic, but she communicated to me that unless it's life threatening, she doesn't order labs. I didn't realize that healthcare was more about the provider's convenience until then.

I went here in the summer about 20 minutes before their urgent care center opened. They told me if I “waited” I could be seen the exact same way and pay less because for some reason emergency care is more expensive. They were dead. No other patients. I knew I had a UTI, all I needed was an antibiotic. I couldn’t “wait” because I was in excruciating pain. I left after their urgent care center opened, they also could have charged me then instead. Not to mention they prescribed me Bactrim! My UTI did not go away, it got worse and I ended up in another emergency room (which did NOT charge me that much, and actually helped me). Two other doctors told me they would never use this antibiotic to treat UTIS. A gross demonstration of American healthcare.

I had an excellent experience with UC Health Urgent Care in Arvada. They told me what to expect. They gave me an option to wait in my vehicle, which I appreciated. Everyone communicated clearly and we're courteous.

This is by far the best Urgent Care I have ever visited in Colorado. I visit urgent cares more frequently than my primary care provider for the convenience, and UC Arvada is hands down the most convenient, thorough, and compassionate facilities I have come across. I feel every provider there cares and I am not just seen as another patient. There is never a long wait regardless of the caseload. This is a major factor for me because typically when one is sick waiting around is the last thing you want to do. I have nothing but positive things to say about this urgent care and I would recommend it to anyone that asks. Special shout out to Dr. Brent, Dr. Megan and the front desk attendant (I believe her name is Ellie).

Going in to urgent care without an appointment, I knew there would be a wait. It wasn’t too bad. The front desk staff offered me water and an update on how much longer. The entire staff was friendly and listened to me. I appreciate how efficient the provider was in examining me, discussing treatment and getting me on my way knowing I felt miserable. I would definitely recommend UCHealth Arvada urgent care.

I’m visiting family over the holiday and came down with a post-COVID medical issue. I had been to another UCHealth facility (near Boulder) on a past visit so thought it would be a good option. I was right. Saw PA Sarah (don’t recall surname). Just amazing. She read my file in advance, did some rapid testing for RSV, COVID, and flu, took lots of time talking me though my issues, and prescribed the right medication. Today, a day later, I am much much better and on the mend. Could not recommend UCHealth more highly. These folks are legit.

Went here on a Sunday morning without an appointment and feeling pretty rough. No wait and fastest check-in ever. All the staff that saw me were incredibly friendly, kind, patient, and professional. Follow-ups were explained clearly and the communication on my results was super fast. Would recommend to anyone looking for an urgent care, especially if you already have use UCHealth.

Everyone was quite friendly. The nurse was efficient and informative. Torrey was excellent. She’s a lefty and I’m a retired elementary school teacher, so we just HAD to talk about that. I have never tested positive for COVID, but she wanted to be thorough. Negative, again. I am using saline drops for my conjunctivitis and Mucinex. She has a prescription ready to drop if my eyes don’t clear up. I would give her one of my first-born children, but they might be older than her… and they’re identical twins. Thank you!

There was no wait when we went in and the check-in was quick. The staff who we met were very kind, courteous, patient and explained everything in detail. Would 100% recommend this facility for urgent care needs!

Folks at the facility were great. 1 star is for UCHealth. They will bill a covid test as a hospital test/visit for $500. Do not go here. Deceptive practices.

I made an appointment virtually check in beforehand then made it there to see only 1 person in the lobby with me,never would i think id sit in the lobby for an hour and a half,at the point they gave me the option to leave and get food and i didnt even leave the plaza before they called me and told me my appt was ready,i come back just to overhear them say they gave my appointment to someone else without informing me,i then waited another 40 mins before i left to recieve care else where.ive been to numerous UC healths and never received service like this

No one likes to go to an urgent care center. I chose this facility at random because I was visiting from NY and unfamiliar with the area. My care was exceptional, the check-in process seamless, the nurse kind and efficient. I would definitely recommend this facility if you find yourself in need of health care and can’t get in to your primary care doctor.

A very professional and friendly urgent care. There was an abundance of flu and Covid patients there, and we were treated very professionally and politely. Highly recommend this urgent care facility.
