👍👍 This trail is called The Big Easy for a reason… it is big, wide, fairly long and easy. It is a section of the Peaks to Plains Trail that may ultimately run from Denver to the summit of Loveland Pass covering 65 miles, 6720 feet of elevation gain and terminating at 12,000 feet. However, this section... People often mention trail, walk, parking,

This trail is called The Big Easy for a reason… it is big, wide, fairly long and easy. It is a section of the Peaks to Plains Trail that may ultimately run from Denver to the summit of Loveland Pass covering 65 miles, 6720 feet of elevation gain and terminating at 12,000 feet. However, this section is literally a walk in the park. This broad trail is nicely paved and offers great views of Clear Creek as well as water access for fishing at many points. Yes, there is a bit of road noise but the views easily distract you from worrying about it. There are several foot bridges crossing the creek so that you gain a perspective from both sides. There are also many access points to the trail from various parking areas. You can park in the Mayhem Gulch Trailhead parking area and walk under Rt 6 to get to the P2P as they are calling it. Bikers, hikers and their dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed. I found this an excellent trail to use as a respite from my typical “moderate” trail with good elevation gain.

Loved it! We took our bikes in a nice parking lot to unload- great picnic area by the water if you wanted to pack your lunch. Nice easy ride! About 8 miles round trip!

Very beautiful, easy, paved trail. Ample parking, had restroom, couple of water access points. Multiple bridges in between giving scenic views. Pets on leash and followed, did not see a single pet without leash. Loved it !

Took my parents here for a surprise anniversary walk (hike). Since they are from TX and not used to the altitude I was looking for a scenic, but easier walk. I call it a walk since the trail is all paved. My parents loved the views and it was not too difficult for them with the altitude change. The changing colors in the leaves and the running creek next to us was perfect! They had a blast.

Beautiful easy walk and great place to have a picnic. There are some unpaved hiking trails nearby. Good for dogs. The water was gorgeous when we were there. The only down side is the noise from the road but the views are worth it.

Nice concrete-paved trail alongside the highway up the canyon. Plenty of access to the creek along the way, with various parking lots scattered across a few miles. Good for dogs, bikes, probably good for skis in the winter. Pit toilets at the bigger parking lots.
