Unbelievable. We found this place from a gift card promotion at Costco and thank goodness we did. We have been there several times now, and all three times the food has been amazing. Our favorites are the ribs and brisket. Perfectly tender and well seasoned. Mac and cheese is a must. Staff is friendly, helpful and the restaurant itself is clean and modern. We will be lifelong customers!

Casual bustling neighborhood restaurant serving the best BBQ I've had in a long time. The attention to detail, the depth of flavor, the texture and moisture of the meat, the penetration of the smoke were all off the charts. Add to that the house made sides and sauces and you have a winning combination. If you've never tried collard greens (or even if you have) you have to try them here - they are amazing. Additionally, the Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich topped with their cilantro jalapeno slaw will knock your socks off.

I cannot say enough positive things about Post Oak. Nick (the owner) has done such an awesome job with the place. The staff is always incredibly friendly. The meat and side selections are great. And the food itself… just wow. Every time I go it feels like a special treat. Best BBQ in Denver!

A popular place, where most customers enjoy their food around the packed bar. The ribs had a heavy pepper flavor and kind of reminded me of corned beef, but their sauces made the ribs right, with the original as my favorite followed by the Texas flavor. Lastly, I had their jalapeño slaw, which is on the vinegary side with cilantro, that gave a fresh/sharp taste and paired well with the ribs. The menu is pretty comprehensive and would like to go back to try more. Sep 2023

As a Texan, I heard this place brings Post Oak in from Texas to make their food and that was all I needed to know that I had to come in. Walking in, this place feels, smells and looks like a mix of some of my favorite barbecue places from back home. Since it was Sunday I had the Meaty Bloody Mary. It was delicious and I highly recommend it, even if its not Sunday. We had the dry rub wings, brisket and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed the variety of BBQ sauces available at the table. The pickles seem house made and were also very complimentary to the meats. The whiskey collection available here is very impressive, they have plenty of local options, even from small distilleries.

Way too SALTY ! ! From the salty hand cut fries, to the nicely barky smoked brisket, salt, even the chopped pork belly pieces in the mac and cheese and the spare ribs, everything was way over salted, salted to the point of not being enjoyable, which is a shame, because the meat quality was actually good. The ribs they called "St Louis" cut were not, instead they're full on spares with the brisket (tips) still atop, so there's actually more meat than a St. Louis, which is good, and they were cooked tug off the bone perfectly. The sausage, was loose, not firm, and seemed more like chorizo. Service was okay we mentioned the salty food, they seemed ambivalent about it, and overall the prices are definitely a bit high.

One of the best Texan BBQ place in Denver. The place is very spacious and welcoming. You will be welcomed by a bar to the left once you enter. Then a counter to the right where you can order your food. They have daily specials but even without the food prices are reasonable. We ordered a Ron Swanson, a full pound of brisket, pork, turkey, and pork belly for $27, Jalapeño Bacon Mac and Cheese for $9 (you can get a smaller size for $5) and Gooey Butter Cake for $5. The serving is hefty and very filling. Then we had some drinks on the bar. They have very interesting weekly cocktails for only $10. We overheard a visiting Texan couple and they mentioned that they always visit the place whenever they are in town. I get why they do that. Truly, a must visit!

The best BBQ in all of Denver? I think so! Really delicious and falling of the bone ribs. Absolutely loved them. Wings with the dry rub were really good just a wee bit small. Coleslaw was very flavorful. Was lucky enough to find street parking in front but it's a great neighborhood so if you have to walk a little enjoy it plenty to see and extremely safe. You wait in line and order your food at the front before being handed a number and getting seated. I was there with my dad who moves slow with a walker and they could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We got seated right away and they stored his walker for us. That right there is a big reason I'll be back. Stuff like that always makes a difference. Definitely come here for BBQ because it truly is the best in the Denver area. Get the ribs! Their sauces they have at the table were also very flavorful!

Let me start off. Not a BBQ gal at all. I ordered the Texas style, shredded BBQ sandwich with jalapeño Mac and Cheese + their housemate coleslaw. Both sides were small but large enough to have leftovers for the next day. And we all know, next day food is WAY better than first day. The service was incredible for how ridiculously busy it was. Open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Fri/Sat till 10 p.m. this place was popping. Queue out the door for the whole hour we were there, it was madness but understandably so. You also do have an option to order online if you'd rather not wait but I'd say come for the experience. There are a lot of options for the choosing and it can be overwhelming for some (myself) I still didn't know what I wanted even at the register (sorry to the people in line behind us). 10/10 will be back, worth the wait.

I have been to dozens of top rated BBQ joints around the country. Everything on the menu I have tried is exceptional. Post Oak stands amongst my top meals I have ever had. I'd go out of my way to enjoy it again in a heartbeat.

There’s good BBQ… then there’s Post Oak. I’ve been traveling all over Colorado in an effort to find ‘The Best BBQ In The State’, and ladies and gentleman it might just be Post Oak. Every single bite was better than the rest, the prices were more than fair, and the staff was just unreal. The entire BBQ staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, providing everything from samples to recommendations. Don’t leave this place without trying the Mac, the Brussels, and if it’s available, the burnt ends are easily to die for.

One of the best BBQ resturants in Denver. I highly recommend the burnt ends (only served on Friday). Brisket was also cooked perfectly from both side of the cut. Chicken wings was pretty good. The gooey butter cake was very very sugery. Parking may cause delays Overall I recommend visiting.

So I left a review earlier this year when we were just in search of a really great barbecue place and we found Post Oak! Since we found this place we haven't got anywhere else for barbecue we've been several times and each time the people are very friendly the food is fantastic and today was no different. I do highly recommend the wings if you've never had the wings both my partner and I love them and it's saying something that they're so good when all the other food is also great. Also their drink called feeling peachy is really yummy; they have lots of different types of whiskeys and it's a really great selection. Plus if they're not busy ask for the tour we got to go on a mini tour with Cole and he showed us the industrial size smoker that has a giant rotisserie in it and it's built right into the side of the building so they can get at all the meat as it finishes smoking right inside the building. But he also took us out back and showed us like where they put in the special wood that they import from Texas and it was just amazing so check out the pictures that I attached and please give them some of your business sometime they're really a great place.

This was my first visit here I ended trying the Texas style sandwich with Brisket. It was very good great smoke and bark on the brisket. I put some of the house sauce on the sandwich and it really made the meal. I ended choosing the Jalapeno Mac and cheese as my side and it was very rich and delicious. My wife ended up enjoying the Carolina style sandwich with pulled pork and side of fried okra. The fried okra was perfect and the sauce that came with it really hit the spot. I can't wait to visit again and try the rest of the menu.

This was my first visit here after hearing so many good things, and this place is on point and AWESOME! The staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to give out recommendations. The pork belly and brisket I tried were so tender, and the smoke flavor was perfect. They have the BEST Mac N Cheese that I've ever had at any BBQ joint. Best coleslaw, too. I enjoyed all 3 of their sauces that were in squeeze bottles at the tables. They even brought us Carolina Reaper sauce from the back when we requested a hotter sauce. I didn't like that it was very runny and vinegar-y, but the heat was great. Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in the Denver Metro Area. Keep up the great work, y'all!

We just ate at Post Oak for the second time. Our food was mediocre at best this visit. I will say that the jalepeno Mac and Cheese is super delicious. Honestly, the place has been packed both times we visited (one dinner and one lunch) and there is just so little room the wait staff are cramped and so are the customers. Food is good, but I think the atmosphere will limit how many return trips we make here.

I would have to say, in quite some time searching for good food, I can say this place is one of them. The staff was extremely nice, and that is something to pay for and something customers look forward to. My platter was very tasty . I have very little complaints, if any about the food. The cornbread tastes great, but they serve it almost cold. They have (3) types of BBQ sauce, Texas, Original, & I forgot the name of the third type. The house or original BBQ sauce does not taste well; it almost tastes like it's spoiled. I tried different bottles from different tables, and they all taste the same. I found the Texas sauce, which has a bit of a mustard taste, was the best of the three. However, I would like to explore a few more dishes before leaving town, so I will revisit this restaurant. Thank you.

Fantastic BBQ! Pros: Beef Brisket - very smokey, tender and crispy bark. Really enjoyed it. Pork Ribs - Fall off the bone tender. Sweet & smokey. Jalapeño, Bacon, Mac & Cheese - really enjoyed this dish. Texas style BBQ sauce - savory and spicy. Cons: Not a huge fan of the hot link sausage or the corn muffin. Bottom line: A great place for BBQ. As good as you’re going to get in these parts. You owe it to yourself to stop in.

Finally! Texas Style BBQ that is legit! The sandwiches are overflowing with meat and sauce, the mac and cheess is a must order, and the pork green chili was a great side add. They use 100% Texas wood and the place is about as authentic as you get including the Shiner Bock on tap. Pro tip: you skip the line and grab a seat at the bar to order drinks and food. They make a mean Old Fashioned for only $7!! during happy hour. The portions are generous so be prepared to come hungry and leave fat and happy.
