What a great place to eat. I ordered the fish and chips and was not disappointed. Very quick and friendly service. I highly recommend it.

It wasn't bad I liked the fish sandwich I had. The fish is lightly breaded and I was pleasantly surprised that they batter it here fresh not some frozen store bought. The bread on the sandwich was really good and soft, I liked that. I loved the way the owner and staff are keeping pleasant conversations with the customers. So food 4 stars; niceness of the service and staff 5 stars. I will definitely come back again.

Great Philly Steak sandwich. The fish and chips smelled amazing! This is the real deal! The prices were very reasonable.

$16 for two tiny, rubbery and bland pieces of fish. Smaller than the pictures they posted. And for that price you would think you're getting a good tarter sauce from scratch but as soon as I saw them throw packets of premade junk in the bag I knew it wasn't going to be good. Fries were decent but not worth the price at all.

Large Fish and Chip was $16 and change.. unfortunately it amounted to a child size portion.. I’m no huge eater and was left unsatisfied.. the quality was there but the portion was a let down.. also make some real tarta sauce…the packets are a big business miss In my opinion..

Don't go here expecting a chippy meal! False advertising, there is absolutely nothing "Authentic" about serving frozen, McCain's style, steak fries! Fish was fresh although it's appearance would suggest it came from Captain Birdseye. I assume the owner is an Ex-Pat trying to convince Americans and Tourists there is a taste of "Blighty" in Cape Coral; this couldn't be any further from the truth. It definitely isn't British Style Fish and Chips no matter how many Union Jacks you put above the door. Expensive, disappointing and, all-round, left us feeling duped.

This is the best fried shrimp I have had in years. The beer batter is light and tasty, you don't even need sauce. The shrimp are huge!!! Well priced for what you get. Suggestion: get some gravy to dip you chips in.

Come for the authentic fish & chips, but bring a cooler for the frozen individual sized meat & veggie pies (and others). We had take out because seating is limited. But I felt comfortable there. Really unique in Cape Coral.

Absolutely excellent. The fish and chips here were just as good as any that I had when I was living in the UK a few years ago. A very large and fresh piece of fish, hot from the frier with a light battered served in a basket with a handful of big cut fries. Food was awesome.

Oh how I love this place. I'm not sure what magical formula they use for the batter, but it is crispy, never soggy, AND it travels well. I know, right. The 2 women who are always there are lovely. I wish they were my neighbors, mostly for the constant offers to come over and eat delicious food that they made, but also because they just seen like great people. I just can't say enough about this place.

U.K style fish and chips, I had a number 1 combo which was fish and 2 shrimp, with slaw and fries. Prices are okay, food and pretty good. Slaw was a bit bland compared to others, and fries were fries not traditional chips you would expect with English Fish & Chips. Order was taken and delivered to counter quickly.

The food wasn't bad by any means. A better than most Philly, good fish and chips. The chicken has a good batter but our chicken was a bit tough. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a hole in the wall (not a bad thing by any means!) Though I wish it was a little cleaner. These hole in the walls usually have a cult following because of their service and food. This place has good British style food but could use a bit more on the service. A smile and casual pleasantries go a long way! Overall, I would recommend if you want a good Philly or fish and chips, but not somewhere I would expect to have a cult following.

I picked up a to-go order with the variety meal (includes shrimp, chicken, and fish) and was very pleased with the food. However the fish seems to be their specialty and is very tasty, and the best of the three choices. The fries are hand cut fries and done just right. The inside of the restaurant is decorated with English memorabilia and the menu has a variety of traditional English foods. I have eaten here in the past and the quality has remained consistent. I recommend the fish and chips.

It is like a fish and chip deli. Nice and clean, food was fantastic! We tried the fish and chips and also had a fish & shrimp combo which were both excellent. The best fried shrimp I have had and the cocktail sauce was superb! The owner asked us to sample his Philly cheesesteak which was so delicious we would come back just to have it again! Great place!!

First visit, Nice place. Friendly staff, very good food. Went for the Fish and Chips, and they didn't disappoint

  • 3/5 John W. 2 years ago on Google
Fish was mostly crispy and good. Food here seems to be a bit overrated, not nearly the best I've had but this may be one of the best in the area. Price was a bit pricey about $13 for one smaller sized fish n chips meal with a tiny side of coleslaw and off brand ketchup. Fries were fresh and homemade tasting.

As a Brit visiting Cape Coral, I know my fish and chips, so Pete’s was a definite visit. The cod and chips are excellent and Boddingtons Beer was a welcome extra.

Delicious 😋 so Far its the best around. I came From Upstate NY. And Doug's Fish Fry is my Favorite. This is Almost Like it. I bet if they Fried their Fish in "Peanut Oil" It would Be just like Doug's. I also met the Young Lady Employee that is Also from Upstate NY. I definitely will be returning.

Their fish and chips was excellent as always. When In town we always eat there. Wish they made their own tarter versus the packets. They only allow 3 packets per piece of fish which is not enough for some. It's like limiting ketchup for fries. We order extra side of fish that is not in pic

  • 3/5 Glenn I. 2 years ago on Google
I really had high hopes seeing as there is literally only 3 real options for food on the menu and this is a fish and chip restaurant, the fish was overly greasy and honestly pretty bland. I was very disappointed in the fact that there isn’t a homemade tarter sauce but instead 4 small packets for 2 adult dinners and 2 kids meals. Seeing as how the main focus of this place is fish and chips I think there should be a lot more focus on exactly that!!

I am a fish and chips expert, and this place is fantastic. I've lived in England, my mom is British, and I know my fish and chips..... This place is top notch.... The fish is fantastic. Best of all, they have all my favorite treats in the freezer for me to take home and warm up later.... Sausage rolls, Pasties, pork pies... oh my..... You have to try this place.... Fish (cod, the best) and Chips with Mushy peas, drizzled with malt vinegar, it just doesn't get any better than this.. I j wish they'd add some little extras, like my favorite, Scotch Eggs.... But I'll take what I can get....

Food was excellent at a reasonable price, delivered fast and super hot. You will love it. It reminded me of the old Arthur tretchers fish and chips.

I had the regular order of fish and cole slaw and it was delicious!!! The meal wasn't cheap but I don't want cheap. I wanted quality and I was willing to pay for it. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and fast. I highly recommend Pete's Fish & Chips...

Delicious best in town good-sized piece of fish and the shrimp we're awesome

  • 4/5 Jason C. 4 years ago on Google
Great take on the English version but not quite authentic. Chips were nicely cooked and fish was not greasy. Very good service and the offer of free salt, vinegar and tomato sauce made the take away a great experience. Other English favourites are available here.

Awesome! Best fried shrimp I’ve had in Cape Coral! Eat it there. Great music too! Beer and wine too!

  • 5/5 Nipa P. 2 years ago on Google
Best fish and chips I've had in the states. Taste almost like what you get in England. The nicest people working there as well. Everytime we come to Cape Coral, we make it a point to come here. Highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Viet P. 4 years ago on Google
Never been here before but the beer batter was really good. Normally the batter is thick which I don't like but this batter was a thin layer and didn't over power the fish or chicken. Really recommend the place.

  • 5/5 Ryan S. 1 year ago on Google
The fish was cooked perfectly and very tasty! The fries were also delicious and came out very hot. My wife is British and is a good judge of a proper fish n chips restaurant - and she would recommend them!

  • 1/5 frankie m. 1 year ago on Google
absolutely not worth the 50 spent! man taking orders was angry, slamming phone down, throwing things behind the counter. waited 30 min for 2 fish and chips, ended up getting it to go. guess it will be OK uk from now on.

  • 3/5 Gail S. 1 year ago on Google
The fish is good but definitely smaller portion than last year. Tipping option when paying by card were 15, 20,or 25% or custom & no tip. For what, I ordered at counter, got my own drink from cooler, picked up food at counter & returned tray & trash. I did most of the work. Sadly won't be back.

  • 5/5 Mercedes C. 1 year ago on Google
OMG.... the best fish I've had since moving down here 3 years ago! Absolutely delicious! I arrived to pick my oder up 3 minutes early and it was ready. Very nice people. My place for fish from now on. Must try the Shrimp. Great job guys!

  • 4/5 Heather B. 1 year ago on Google
Food is very good I always get the fish n chips. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I only have got to try that one thing I'm sure the other stuff is good since the fish is. The lady that waits on me is very nice always

  • 5/5 Andrew M. 11 months ago on Google
Great food. A lot less greasy than I’m used to. Didn’t feel as bloated. Awesome decor inside. Feels like a small pub in the UK.

  • 5/5 George G. 1 year ago on Google
This is a great choice for dinner. Had the large fish & chips order, it was cooked perfect, not dripping oil like some other places. Lots of chips and the cole slaw is really good! It all tasted really authentic, the real deal. I'll be back! 😄

  • 4/5 Jenny 1 year ago on Google
A bit on the greasier side, but the fish was great! Nice and flaky and not too much batter. The Shrimp was really good. I'd recommend it for those who are trying to find a place during Lent.

If you haven't tried their Philly Cheesesteaks you're missing out! Best in the Cape. Bethany is awesome behind the counter. We have been telling everyone about how good their food is! 3 times in the week of trying their food. On our way there now. Yummy yummy! 😋 Bring on the Works!

  • 5/5 Jeanne H. 7 months ago on Google
Stopped by for their famous Philly cheesesteak and it was perfect. Bought the 12 inch as to have leftovers. Half the sandwich was plenty for lunch. It was hot, fresh and great flavor. The staff is friendly and the service is great. They have a few tables inside so we opted to stay and eat in. We will be back again!

We've lived in Cape Coral for ten years, this was our first time going to Pete's. We got takeout dinners and were just as pleased as could be. The staff was very nice and the food was wonderful. Thank you Pete's, it won't be another ten years. We just never knew you were there.

  • 2/5 Davis X. 3 years ago on Google
Bland and tastes like blah. Nothing like what they're trying to represent. Have you been to the UK? Have you been to a British colony? NO. Made for early bird special chaps who like grease (served in parchment paper that looks like newspaper). Sorry... Truth.

  • 5/5 Susan H. 3 years ago on Google
Love Pete's they have the best fish, well food anywhere. Great service always fresh and hot. Great people....Thank you for the Birthday meal ❤

Had a great meal and also felt like family when I really was from thousands of miles away. Warm welcoming in this quaint Mom n Pop dining facility. Best welcome to the Cape Coral Florida area I ever received. The food was superior. Will always frequent this place for sure now!

  • 1/5 Heidi S. 3 years ago on Google
Couldn't eat here because they cook shellfish with fries and fish. So many people have shellfish allergies. We were told all cooked together. I pm you.

  • 3/5 Jeanne P. 3 years ago on Google
Very pricey for fried food. $32 for 2 regular fish n chips and 2 sodas. Batter fell right off my fish as I was trying to eat it but it was tasty. Limited seating due to COVID but take out is available. The tartar sauce was left out on the tables at room temp so I wouldn't suggest using it (would think that would be a health violation). I really was disappointed as I've had better at a chain restaurant for less $$$ This was a dine in situation. I won't do take out with fish as I want it hot and fresh from the fryer. If you look at my other reviews, I do try to be fair & I don't complain about everything The food was tasty and it was fresh from the fryer but I really was concerned about the tartar sauce being left out on the tables and it was not cold.

This place is amazing!!! Can’t believe I live within 2 miles from this place and have never eaten here. If you like or love FISH & CHIPS then you have to try this place. Staff and establishment very inviting and felt at home. Thanks Pete’s for such a great experience... We will be back!!!

  • 4/5 Ken V. 4 years ago on Google
It was good. I think the chips were not prepared the way they are done in England. The potatoes are fresh cut and boiled a couple of minutes. Then they are fried until light golden. Removed from the oil for up 10 minutes. Returned to the oil and completed. Big difference in the final product. The rest of the food was outstanding. Good portions and fair price. I had the family basket with 2 fish filets, 4 extra large Shrimp, and 2 chicken filets.

Tried Pete’s for the first time and the fish wasn’t anything I would rave about ... I don’t really write reviews like this but I felt the need to this time . I also felt for what you get the pricing is completely off ... the soda you drink from a CAN instead of a cup like most restaurants would offer and when we were greeted it was almost like the women was doing us a favor . Just disappointed:(
