I found this suspension brindle on a list of hikes to do while in Salt Lake City. This trail is easy to locate. The start of the trail is located within a neighborhood. After talking with a few other hikers we determined that the path with a smaller incline would be to continue going left. If you would like to follow this same path, when you see a sign pointing up and going straight- go straight. While walking this trail it is important to ensure that you have on sunblock and are hydrated. There is no shade for the majority of the hike to the bridge. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall while in route to the bridge which was a pleasant surprise. When we made it to the bridge we snapped a few pics and walked across. This is a suspension bridge so be prepared for it to wobble as you walk across it. If you are seeking a leisure hike with beautiful views I would highly recommend the hike to this bridge!

Less than an hour to cover the complete loop including spending a little time on the suspension bridge which is a lot of fun. When I was there there were many families walking the trail as well as some little ones. Climbing is not too difficult and trail is well trotty however proper tire is suggested

This was a lovely little bike. I’d say very appropriate for beginner/intermediate hikers. There were a few bikers on the trail to watch out for. The trail head was well kept, clean facilities and very welcoming! The trail itself had no trash which was amazing! Not too crowded either.

Fun hike! Lots of switchbacks and some paths that could leave you questioning which way to go without a map. It was pretty and a different way to approach the draper suspension bridge.

Pretty easy hike with a cool suspension bridge at the halfway point. Dirt path the entire way that is relatively easy to navigate. There are flushing bathrooms and water at the trailhead. Parking may be tight at peak times.

Worth a hike early in the morning. And this was our first hike from Orson Smith Trailhead start point which we started at 7 AM MT. It was around 1mi to go up with little steep but very safe hike. Again, totally worth the hike. We were happy to find this for our first hike with a 21 month old kid! Took a little around hour and a half being our first. There’s good shade even at 9 AM with decent sun light as the β˜€οΈ was covered by mountains for couple of hours after sunrise. Go, give it a try :)

Great little spot to take a stroll around the neighborhood outskirts. Nice facilities, water station, and clean landscape to enjoy. The community does a great job making this nice for the public, and as a Global Google Guide, I'll add respect it as such and leave no trace!

Awesome hike for a family, we went on the 2.3 mile loop and everyone did great, our 4 and 2 year old had a blast exploring. The whole home took us about 70 minutes to complete. There are great scenic views of Draper and the salt lake valley.

Decent hike for all ages. Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s a cooler day or in the early morning/later evening. If not, it would get extra hot. It’s end of April and pretty dry everywhere so not the most scenic as far as land (great views of the valley however). Head up behind the bridge on the south side to make it to a cute little bridge over a stream for a short little extra bonus hike.

Such a fun hike. It only took me an hour to finish. The trail is kid friendly and you can also bring dogs on a leash. The view is beautiful but the bridge is the star. It is a suspension bridge so it does sway and bounce when you walk on it. I'm definitely coming again :)

First time on this trail. What an awesome hiking trail. We started about 7:30 am and the weather was perfect. No jacket required. We wore hats and packed our water. I loved the fact that this trail is runner friendly which I may have to do next time around. Super close and convenient from the I15. This will be one of my go to trails.

This area is pretty awesome. There are lots of different routes. I highly recommend exploring the nearby trails as well (see the picture of us on the rock). Apparently the gentleman who designed the bridge won awards for it! Don't think too much about the construction, just go walk on it 🀣. If you go to the park there's two ways to get to the bridge - you'll have to go up like 4 switchbacks regardless. You'll dump out on a wider path that's big enough for a vehicle. At this point you can either continue going up the switchbacks straight in front of you, or go left and walk down the wider path which is a bit longer but gradual slope. The wide path is the "easy way" to get up to the bridge, the switchbacks is the harder way. We've done it both ways just for the experience haha. The first time we went up the switchbacks and then came back using the wide path route. Those switchbacks will wear you out if you choose to go up that way, but there's plenty of room to take a moment, or let people pass. The neighborhood below is awesome (family lives there) great views!

Easy to hike. Waterfalls and bridge are pretty and also with beautiful views. Dry trail, so try to get water along with you. Worth the visit, lots of hikers, joggers and bikers in this place. It will be sunny and no shade and dry and plenty of parking.

Great hike, not too hard. Short family hike. The loop takes about an hour give or take.

Awesome little hike, it took us about 2 hours and it was totally worth it. You get cool views at all times and the bridge itself is also a cool little spot to take a break and take some pictures. It’s a good trail even in the winter because your always on the side of the sun.

Had a great time with family. Being very out of shape we went slow and steady and made it to the bridge fairly easily; although, don't be fooled, getting to it is a very steep hike. Some people had strollers even. The trail is very well maintained but please stay on the trail as to not damage the vegetation.

Such a nice little hike! It can be pretty steep in certain areas but definitely worth the trip! The bridge sways which I thought was a lot of fun but scares a lot of people. It’s pet friendly as long as they are on a leash and you pick up after them! Great views!

Nice walk up (450 ft) to the suspension bridge. Great view and trail is in good shape.

I'm grateful for all the folks who clean the bathrooms and maintain the trail. Leave no trace. Unfortunately, there are lots of dog poops on the trail both in a plastic bag and natural. And thanks to the folks who built the suspension bridge !

Trail was great till you got a bit past the bridge where the trail began to have a lot of very slick loose sand & pebble type surfaces enroute to the top of the peak. Watch your step! Great views of the Salt Lake City Valley, Cliffjumping ParaGliders, Salt Lake, and Amazing sunsets!

As with all moderately easy trails along the benches in the Salt Lake valley, come early to get a good parking space. My daughter and I were visiting my old home city a couple of weeks ago, and I was looking for a trail or interesting point easily accessible from Holiday. I found both in this great little trail in the SE part of Draper. Parking was easy, as we arrived before 8am. Hiking had some slightly strenuous parts for mid-westerners, but was overall very easy. Saw lots of kids enjoying it, some big group of runners training on it, and some paragliders floating above it. Love the view of the valley from the bridge which was a great point of interest. Good job Draper and friends for doing this. I wish the place we lived now was a concerned about having a nicely maintained trail and point of interest as this. One note: watch out for poison ivy if you go off even a little off the trail.

This was a great hike for fall time. I don't think I'd do this hike in the summer as it has hardly any shade along the trail up to the bridge. It was 76Β° when I did it and that was even hot! The colors were gorgeous which is another reason why fall was a great time. It's rated as easy on All Trails. I'm not in the best hiking shape so on a scale of 1-10, I'd say it was about a 5 on difficulty. Not easy unless you are in great hiking shape but I still made it up unscathed!

Did this hike last weekend with the doggies and the views were beautiful-- can't wait to come back and hike it again this autumn!! It does have a few steep areas that have sharp rocks, but is overall a very easy hike, I mean if my lazy little chihuahua can do it, you can too!

We went on a daddy daughter (girls ages 8-10) hike. Perfect! Took around 1 1/2 hours, short and easy. The scenery of the valley below, the vegetation along the hike, and the water falls below the bridge were beautiful. We went in the evening and the weather was really pleasant.

A very fun hike, especially with big groups or with dogs. It is not especially difficult, but the steep climb and length could be an issue if you aren't very comfortable hiking. If you are walking there after it rains, the trail can be pretty soggy, but I haven't seen it be especially slippery. If you are hiking it in the winter, I recommend boots, possibly with ice spikes, as there will be snow and ice. The bridge itself is an incredible sight(unless you find yourself queasy with heights). Just remember, don't attach anything to the bridge or throw anything off, that includes you, lovelock-placing couples!

The hike was mostly uphill the first like 3/4 of a mile then the last bit was leveled the bridge loop isn't really a loop I think I see no way of it coming back so just a heads up it was really fun plus they have a stream at the bottom that looks fun but dangerous

Pretty steep in the beginning and then right before the bridge but it is a fast hike, just don't expect a super easy walk. Also no shade the entire way so come prepared, and there is sand trail so if its windy plan another day. Very pretty.
