Our stay at La Quinta by Wyndham was terrible =( Here are a few of the reasons: 1. I called one week prior to my arrival asking to reserve a crib. I was told to call again 24 hours before arriving. I called the day before arriving and was told they had no cribs on site. 2. Upon arrival I was told that the room I'd reserved (with one King bed) was no longer available. But they were happy to put me in a room with 2 double beds for no charge. The receptionist informed me that she'd 'done me a favor' by holding on to a room for me. I had reserved the room 6 weeks ago! 3. The elevator was broken. 4. The door to our room wouldn't open initially. I went to reception and asked for help. The woman told me to kick the door if it wasn't opening. 5. In the room, our window was broken and (poorly) repaired with duct tape. 6. In the bathroom, there were mold spots on the ceiling. 7. The emergency exit of the building was propped open with a stone. There was a group of people smoking marijuana outside the exit. I removed the stone - for security purposes- and it was replaced. 3 times (!!) in 24 hours. 8. We asked for an extra sheet (to put in our baby's crib) and were told the bedding was 'locked' in a closet and wasn't available until housekeeping arrived in the morning. 9. The hotel proudly advertises their swimming pool, but it is open from 10:00 AM (one hour before checkout) and closes at 4:00 (hours before most people are coming back to their rooms. 10. We informed the hotel one week before arriving that we had a service animal with us. There was no indication that we'd be charged for this. When I checked in, nobody mentioned a pet fee. Several days later, when I received the receipt in my email, I learned that we'd been charged $25 for our service dog.

I feared for my safety! I’ve never experienced a hotel like this. Upon my arrival to the hotel, I noticed that the lobby was dirty as well as the elevators. I checked in with the front desk paid for a King’s bedroom but apparently they ran out of King’s room and gave me a double room. I was fine with that however the room was very dated and walls were extremely thin. I could hear my neighbors. I ignored that and went to bed only to be awoken by someone trying to get into my room at 12:30am. I was so scared I packed everything up and checked out. The hotel front desk staff were extremely accommodating and understanding but security definitely needs to be in place in this hotel. Also, there was not WiFi apparently it was off the hotel even though it’s advertised on the hotel. I raised concerns with the general manager Diane Logan she seemed very nonchalant about the matter. The front desk staff were way more helpful that night.

While the staff that I dealt with was amazing the amenities left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival I was told that the KING bed I booked was no longer available and that the elevators were down. It was late so I did not complain as I just wanted to get some sleep. When I walked into my room I opened the closet to hang my suit and noticed what appeared to be a dried bloody booger on the inside of the closet door. I then turned to ensure I locked the door and saw a cockroach crawling on the floor. Like I said I was extremely tired so I inspected the rest of the room and saw no other bugs so I proceeded to go to sleep. When I woke in the morning and went to shower I realized the bathroom had not been cleaned and they left old towels in the room that were not used by the previous occupant. I was in a double room and yet there was only 1 towel, hand towel, and wash rag, that screams they were not changed at previous checkout. This is highly unhygienic and really made me mad. I proceeded to do what I came into town to do and left without comment. In short, it was just a poor experience however, I am not confrontational so I did not say anything about it. In my opinion, these are not extreme ask for hotel staff to address as part of standard procedure.

I stayed here years ago and left an unfavorable review. This was the exact opposite of that stay. They normally don’t do late check out after 11:30 AM. Because of a meeting that I had I had nine hours of nowhere to go. So they allowed me to check out late. I was very appreciative. The customer service was outstanding. I feel really bad because I forgot the young lady at the front desk name, but she was accommodating and as sweet as could be. The room was clean. Everything worked fine. You can tell it was recently updated It looks very nice. I wish that the Wyndham website would let you know that they do require a security deposit. Other than that one minor inconvenience everything was perfect. I wish I could give them more than five stars.

Tuff mattress body and back are so sore. No hair dryers in the room. The elevator is slow and sticks before it opens and closes. Not so Lucky me, got a room right beside it, and all day and night, all I've heard is it growling and roaring up and down. Not a pleasant experience! Cleaning staff is amazing! The room is so clean. Hallways smells fresh. Check-in are nice people. Small parking area. It's not easy access in or out if driving. Construction so have to pull in through the bank entrance. Nearby shopping, food, laundry center, tires, clothing stores, and alcohol just a short walk across the street. NO CASH! don't bring cash for the laundry, check-in, or the on-site mini convient store items. NO VENDING MACHINES only ice machine on 1st floor. Fitness center super nice to many rules and only access with key at front desk. Smoking areas on each end with nice seating areas. The pool is closed and is in the back across the parking area. The doorbells for hearing impaired is a 1st. That is a nice safe feature available. Pet friendly, large dogs welcome too

I gave 3 star because they gave me occupied room. The card key they gave me also works and opens that room when I tried to enter. I had to go back and ask them to change. It was bad experience and never happened. Other than that it was good in everything.

This place was okay for one night. The lobby needed a good mop. The room was not the cleanest. Everything was greasy to the touch inside the room. The shower had sand in it and there was a live bug on the bed. The elevator should be seen unsafe. The only thing I enjoyed from this hotel is talking to the man who checked us in….I believe he was the GM I know he was something in management

This facility was conveniently located, clean, well-staffed, and efficient. We were only there for one night and I feel like we made friends that quickly with the staff members. We were concerned about our room being close to the elevator (and the incumbent noise), but we never heard a thing.

This hotel is a great choice. The room was clean, and appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently. They have a breakfast until 9 am. Have tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available in lobby 24 hours a day. The staff were super nice and helpful. During breakfast a manager came by and was asking guest how their stay was, how the rooms were, etc. Which was a very awesome thing to do to ensure quality service. Also, I observed numerous interactions between that manager and the staff. Their interactions were extremely friendly and seemed to reflect he truly is a great leader! Everyone of the employees as they were arriving and first saw him, waved at him and immediately headed toward him and they all hugged him in a respectful and caring manner. It was really impressive all around! Great job!!! (I am sorry I didn't get his name (he even had a tag on) but I am awful with remembering names.)

Unfortunately my daughter is in the hospital. So this was the closest hotel. 90 dollars for the room plus a 100 dollar security deposit. The place is under construction making hard to find the entrance. My room felt dirty. There were cobwebs on the walls. The sheets had burn holes in them. I told the check in person that the toilet wasn't working. She asked me if it was the tank. I didn't look so I asked her nicely to have someone check it out. Never happened. The guy next to me played very loud music and had a large dog that barked a lot. I called down to the desk...no answer. It's a shame because this is the closest hotel to the hospital. I imagine many people are staying for the same reason as I.

They literally have the cleaning crew working at night. I didn’t sleep at all. I called the next morning and the front desk said it was my fault for not calling down and complaining. I asked for a later checkout to catch some sleep (not unusual, I used to work the front desk) and the front desk woman really seemed to need the power that she had. She was rude and unapologetic so I left it. It was very important to her to make people miserable. There’s some really shady stuff going on at this place. All of the employees have friends wandering aimlessly around the building.

The staff here is amazing. The location is cool as there are many stores near the hotel. The elevator situation is crazy. It has to go to the 5th floor 1st b4 any other floor. The breakfast is average, they dud have turkey options for non pork eaters. The hotel is pet friendly, dogs mice & roaches. Got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night & was greeted by mickey. Never again. Also the toilet clogged during our stay, the staff quickly gave us a plunger to fix the situation lol. The staff is very friendly. They assisted us as much as they could. They were one of the few things good about this place, also the room was surprisingly clean considering the it had pets.

The people are super nice . They ran out of Kings or Queen rooms cause , everyone came here and did not want a room at SUPER8 right down the road. Better location for sure ."NOT" In a bad neighbor hood. The price was high but your have that wherever you go. At least here we felt safe.WHAT SUCKS IS: Only Bad thing is there is no pool right now, its closed!!! My bathroom was clean and the maid service ask me if I was sure I had everything before they left my floor. I had pillow cases and my A/C unit worked and it was quiet,,,,,,,VERY CLEAN

This hotel is very well located near many things in the area. It is tucked behind a band so it can be overlooked. The rooms have been updated recently and are nice. Staff did enter our room while we were gone to replace towels even though we were told they wouldn't do that. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was adequate and could have used oatmeal toppings. Our only complaint was the extremely fragrant pot smoke smell that permeated the hotel but that was from some guests.

Horrible customer service, the front desk was extremely rude to my husband, the worst first impression. Racist vibe because we are Spanish. While the rooms were average, and clean, I would not come back. Location is very nice too.

I’ve been staying at this specific la quinta location for over a year now while I visit the city. I’m 19 & have had no issues checking in, usually a male who I believe is the GM checks us in. Lately a woman has been there for check in & would not allow me to check into a room I booked in advance because I was under 21. I am a gold member with thousands of points, which shows I stay here often. I then tried to have my boyfriend check in who is 21 & she wouldn’t allow it. Online they have a policy of 18+ so I’m not sure why she wasn’t allowing me to check in but it sucks cause I really liked this place, i’ve spent lots of money here & would totally do it again but unfortunately I’ve had to stay at a new hotel these last few months.

My stay here was OK. The room was dirty upon arrival, but as any good traveler would do we came prepared and took about 20 minutes to clean and disinfect the entire room. The comforter was dirty so we called down for another and they promptly brought us one. Each day we had to go to the lobby and have our key cards reactivated which was a pain. The hotel definitely needs updating and a thorough cleaning. The staff was meh. At check in the young man in the lobby was great. During our stay the young lady at the front desk gave us attitude for asking to have our key cards activated, like it was our fault!! The room served it's purpose, but I will not recommend this hotel unless it's your last option. Finally the property should invest in a street sign. If you miss your turn to get into the hotel, the next turn takes you back on the highway. So those not familiar with the are will have to jump back onto the highway and make a loop to get back to the hotel.

There was an issue with the online Booker that I had used. They did not book us the right type of room. But the manager whose name I unfortunately have forgotten. Handled the room situation quickly and respectfully. He made me feel that my daughter and I truly mattered to him. Thank you la Quinta inn of Baltimore for your courteous and professional hospitality. We will definitely will be staying with you again in the future.

My wife and I stayed for one night and our keys didn’t work. Then we walked in and it didn’t smell clean. The bathroom was a mess. There was trash on the floor, contact packaging opened on the floor, used face soap and towel on the sink. The towels hanging were yellow and stained. The tub was marked with dirty foot marks. It wasn’t cleaned like it was supposed to be.

After being on the road for 10 hours, we landed here. We were warmly greeted by lovely Tyeasher and she immediately gave our hungry dog a treat! Then we walked into the room, and it was fresh and clean, new air con with continuous fan, and to top it off, they had my favorite Dove soaps! It's the little things that make a huge difference to weary travelers.

TV base broken, causing TV to lean forward. Had to use a box of crackers & cable box to prop up, so we could view from bed. Lid to water reservoir on coffee pot missing. Toilet seat loose, slides side to side. Hot water is luke warm at best. No shampoo in bottle, enough conditioner for the 1st guest only, there was plenty of body soap. 1 elevator for the whole hotel, takes forever, lines form waiting, doesnt sound the best Clock set AM, when its PM. Pool out in far corner of parking lot, away from the actual building. Staff at desk were very friendly, took reports of the broken/missing items in our room, thank us for the info. Rooms are clean, AC works well, beds comfortable, and breakfast is included, 1 pc of sausage in pan the whole time I toasted a bagel, got 2 glasses of OJ, and made a Blueberry waffle, they never brought out more. The timer didn't engage when I cooked my Blueberry waffle, tried asking lady working, she flipped it, shook her head yes,, implied it was done, when i got to my room,, it was raw in center. They did add fresh scrambled eggs as I was walking out. A lady was waiting that same amount of time for milk, for her cereal. I guess the term you get what you pay for applies here.

I greatly appreciate all the staff here and their generosity. From greeting me by my first name while walking in and/or out the lobby, the maid service for keeping the room nice and clean and always asking if I needed anything. Thank you for the services you provide: free WiFi with a Desk & Chair in the room. I was able to continue to work comfortably remotely. The breakfast buffet, laundry room, and store wherein I could purchase any items from drinks to laundry detergent without having to leave the Inn. Thank you so much!

The location was great. It had easy access to expressway and shops. Upon check in the staff was very friendly. There was a small issue during my look over of the room and it was immediately resolved. I would definitely stay there again. Everyone from the GM Brian down to the cleaning staff made my stay there worth it.

Well let me start by saying this...We have been using La Quinta Inn & Suites for about 3 years now at the same location. Eveytime we have used this facility we have noticed a decline in it. This last time we used it we booked a room on the first floor because we brought our new puppy(we always bring a dog) because he was too small to board with our other two. When we arrived we were told that there were no rooms available for us and our dog on the first floor. We were then told the closest they could get us was on the second floor, ok no problem. Then since we didn't have a choice we said fine, and took the room. We were then told the elevator was not working. So now it made perfect sense why our room was given away. We then had to carry our luggage and things, and a dog crate up to the second floor. I need to have a hip replacement so it was not the easiest thing for me to do, but I did it because we just drove 5 and a half hours and we were tired. The whole hotel smelled of Marijuana including our non smoking room we requested. This may very well be our last say there.

Nice place. Better than motels in the area. No pool in the middle of July. The ceiling in the bathroom was partially falling with some visible mold. Was not told over the phone about security deposit. Other than that it was good.

This is a good low-mid range hotel with an amazing staff. Our room had some minor issues that they fixed promptly. I can forgive small things when the service is so good. They do have a good resources if you're traveling like laundry, work out room and pool. For around 100$ a night this is pretty good.

We had a great stay. Nice rooms. The entire staff were very welcoming. The environment is very clean, comfortable and friendly. We enjoyed the company of other guest while having our delicious continental breakfast. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. HL

Firstly, the false ad about a pool that is non existent at this particular location is just flat out wrong for starters. If the pool is not available, indicate that in the ad on booking sites. Imagine the disappointment that my family endured as a result of the false ad. Secondly, they ran out of eggs and sausages for breakfast and had to go shopping for these items in the morning during breakfast hours. Thirdly, the bathroom had no ventilation. All the heat and humidity were trapped while taking a shower. Fourthly, the carpet in the rooms are filthy and sticky and needs to be washed or replaced asap.

Nice clean, quiet room. No odors. Staff is friendly. They do a very good job at cleaning up after us pigs. Big parking lot. Room in the back for bigger trucks. I'll definitely stay here again if in the area. Thanks Priceline you were very helpful, too.

We checked in at 4:30 PM. The room were no ready for another 30 to 45 minutes. Some of the front desk staff were unaware of what to say or how to compensate guest piling up in the lobby. One morning breakfast was not ready on time but they closed on time. A desk employee was ready rude. I just thought it may have been a bad day. Everyday that I saw her was a bad day. Another front desk employee was very helpful. She handled every situation with grace and a smile. The entrance is an abomination to find. Pool is not open. I concur with another review, "it might be better for this facility to close until ready", then to receive reviews like this.

I would give it a 5 star but they don't have a public restroom or even a restroom for their guests on the main floor, so if you check out, but decide to grab breakfast before you go, but after you check out and turn in your keys, you won't be using a restroom there before you get in the car to leave which is crazy to me because they have a laundry facility there for you, the guest, to do your own laundry. They also have a gym for you to use and a swimming pool. And they happen to be one of the few who serve breakfast until 10am but have coffee and tea and hot chocolate available 24/7 for guests which is great! And to top it off, they also have their own little store in the lobby where you can buy drinks, food, snacks, and even bandaids. Its a nice hotel with good staff.

The room was nice clean and modern. The shower was a beautiful walk in, with beautiful sliding glass doors. The only thing I didn't care for was the cable television was basic and not alot of good channels.

My family and I were only in town for a family gathering and only stayed one night so we weren't expecting 5 star accommodations however we weren't expecting our stay to be sub standard. We arrived to Baltimore early and luckily we decided to stop by and do an early check-in because our reservation was not found. However it was easily remedied by the patient and courteous staff, namely Thea and Taesha. These ladies were amazing and kept their composure although understaffed and overworked that weekend. This location just needs a little TLC. The elevator creaked on the the way up and even the guest bathroom in the lobby needed some slight repairs to the toilet bowl handle before it falls off. Despite saying that the rooms were smoke free, the room was reeking of cigarettes and marijuana. The odor was baked into the sheets, carpet and curtains. There was no waste basket in the bathroom so we had to use a plastic bag we brought with us as the bathroom garbage. There was also no toilet paper and the toilet bowl seat was loose and falling off and so was the handle to flush. Luckily my wife is a germ-a-phobe and brought our own sheets because the bedsheets smelled smoky and the comforter had what appeared to be blood stains all over it..on the inside portion of the comforter! Although we didn't use ice, the ice machine was broken on our floor and the other floors because it was common to see hotel guests going down to the lobby for ice. Despite a non smoking policy that carries a fine, obviously this isn't enforced because the room was so smoky that I had to sleep with a mask on. If it weren't for the kind and hardworking staff who are definitely overworked and understaffed, we would have complained. The hotel was overbooked and we didn't want to overburden the staff with our complaints considering we were only staying for one-night only. This hotel gets 0.2 stars and that's being generous. I definitely don't recommend it to anyone.

Location was a little hard to find. Had to do a U turn. And the entrance was difficult to find. Needs a big sign. Since all you see is construction in front. But other than that. The room was clean, breakfast was fresh, and the guests were quiet.

  • 4/5 Deborah N. 1 year ago on Google
A lot of construction going on in the front. Great location is near shops and restaurants. The desk staff are very nice. The room service would not give us a wash cloth though there was only one left in our room. Had to get one from a family members room. I would go back but will take my own washcloth. Lol

Me and my wife stayed one night and it was terrible. Had to switch rooms for dirty sheets. Lack of toiletries in next room complained but no overnight housekeeping. Then was charged incidentals for late checkout never happened in any other hotel we have stayed in. We did not smoke or damage anything in the room. Then we get to the car after argument and they have charged our account several different times for things we did not ask for or authorize. Wouldn’t stay here if my house burned down.
