This beautiful setting in the Bronx is often overlooked. The Victorian era glass green houses elegantly display the most spectacular orchid collection!

We went at dusk to be able to see everything in daylight but also lit up for the holidays and it was awesome. The range of vegetation and plant life makes for a gorgeous view during a nice relaxing stroll. The Holiday Train Show was amazing. The structures are amazingly detailed. This was my first time ever at the Botanical Gardens and am already planning for more visits.

What a beautiful day, and train exhibition. I loved it. 😍 it has been over 20 years since I came with my son.

Had a fantastic time visiting the Botanical Gardens! This place has been on my list of places to go for awhile and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I wish more outdoor plants were in bloom but it gives me a good excuse to come back in the late spring/summer. Would highly recommend the indoor temporary orchid exhibit!

I visited the Holiday Train Show with my family, including our 5 year old son. We went today, Christmas Eve, which is a Sunday. The front outside portion of the place is so cool we thought that was the whole thing and there was little to no wait to get in there. Then to get inside there was a little bit of a wait maybe 10-15 minutes. And once inside it was very crowded but super cool. I am definitely glad we went. My son loved it all but got through much faster than some of our family and grew impatient after a while but that’s to be expected. There’s nothing to play on inside, only things to look at. But all very unique and quite magnificent!

The conservatory has a variety of interesting tropical plants and trees. I love the transition from jungle to desert, lots of strange looking cacti. There is going to be a holiday train show here which I hear is not one to miss. Good stuff.

It was my first time going to the NYBG and it was actually really, really nice. Depending on the season would determine which section would stand out most. A great place to get your steps as well!

Going to the conservatory was a beautiful experience, there are plants from all over the world in there along with different environments to represent where the Plants would grow naturally, I highly recommend a visit to the Enid Haupt conservatory especially when it's a little cooler outside

Before I left the nursery school where I worked, one of my students kept mentioning that his parents took him to the train show and that it was amazing. At a new school and I heard they go every year, so we took our Pre-K students to see the train show. All I can say is that my former student was right. Was not disappointed with what I witnessed at the observatory!

Beautiful place , but pricey No little kid friendly in my opinion, a lot to walk , bathrooms are far between points

NYBG organizes a holiday train show here every year. It was worth to go for both Glow and the train show in the evening for the experience, but the garden gets really dark. I would recommend daytime show if you went with children.

A wide variety of exotic plants and habitats, from jungle plants to desert cacti. There is some artwork sprinkled throughout the conservatory, as well.

We went for the orchid show, which was amazing. The orchids are spread throughout the Conservatory and come in all shapes, colors and sizes. There are different rooms, humid to desert dry, with different plant types in each area.

Had an amazing day walking around. The infinity room is worth the $10. You should go there first. The wait isn’t long. Each group has 45 seconds in. Definitely wear walking shoes. I can’t wait for the train show!
