Wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to going to this sad, so-called vision place. SO BE FOREWARNED!!!! This place is an absolute horror show. Nobody greets you when you walk in and never once looking up to see who entered. When you introduce yourself, EVERYONE HAS AN ATTITUDE. (Sorry for interrupting but I have an appointment). It’s seriously bizarre behavior and it feels as if you’re in the twilight zone. I counted 7 employees when I entered the store and every single one of them were on their cell phones as the store phones were ringing off the hook. Including what I would later learn would be the “eye doctor” giving my exam who’s name was Arthur. After being told to have a seat outside of his office and waiting nearly a half hour, he comes out, calls me in, and 5 minutes later, just like that I’m out. Never asked me any questions and when I asked a question, I was cut short and rushed out of the exam room. Nobody says a word to you!!! It is absolutely bizarre. After being rushed out of my eye exam, I was then directed to a “technician” who points to the wall and says “Go pick your frames”. No help, no advice, no nothing from ANYONE!!! Do yourself a favor and either stay blind or go elsewhere!!! Davis Vision on Central Park Ave. is the worst place for eye care. Honestly, I have to question if they’re even licensed. P.S. Davis Vision don’t insult my intelligence with a computer generated apology. That seems to be your “M.O.”! JUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND FIX THE PROBLEM. Can’t believe you’re still in business…

I am still so upset about my experience here. I booked my appointment online for a Saturday. I had an 11:40AM appointment. There was literally no one in the whole place. The receptionist at the front desk didn’t even say good morning and just directed me to sit in the back. Clearly no customer service skills at all. I went to the directed place and waited and waited and waited. I was attended about 12:10. When I finally walked into the appointment room I see no doctor. At that point I was told it will be remote. I was so mad at this point and let it be known that if I would have known it was going to be remote I would have not scheduled Al appointment. No where online was it stated. Took FOREVER to get through this disaster of an exam. The remote doctor was really nice. I had no issues with her. The icing on the cake is no contacts to wear as a trial pair for 4-6 weeks. Ridiculous!!!! I walked out of that place at 1:30PM I would rather go elsewhere and pay out of my pocket than to deal with this place again. Stay away!!!

TERRIBLE customer service. I went about 3 weeks ago to get an eye exam. Purchased some glasses and was told 10 days from the day that I went, it would be ready for pick up and they would call. They never called so I decided to call and they told me they would call Monday. Monday came, no call. When calling, just know it takes a MILLION OF TRIES to get in contact with them. It’s Tuesday and I’m currently on the phone waiting to speak to representative because I have still not received a call about the glasses I purchased🙃 clearly they do not care. Worst experience ever. Also, the doctor took about 5 minutes examine my eyes 🙃 quickest check up I ever gotten

One of the most unprofessional places I've ever been to in my life. They messed up my appointment twice and I had to take 2 days of work for nothing. The front desk assistant Crystal is extremely rude and unprofessional. She was busy talking to her friends and seemed bothered to do her job. Once I finally got her attention she offered me two time slots to return another day after messing up my appointment time once already. I specifically repeated 11am and despite that she scheduled me for 920am. I asked for a confirmation before I left and she clearly stated the appointment was at 11am. When I arrived instead of apologizing for her mistake she kept trying to argue loudly in front of other customers and was using profanity. Instead of being professional and rectifying the situation her version of conflict management was to argue with the customer instead of fixing her mistake. Management needs to do a much better job of hiring and training people for this role. Crystal's attitude is unacceptable and should never be allowed in a professional setting.

if I could give a zero I would! the worst experience I have ever had! I went about a month ago for an exam, placed an order for my glasses said within 10 days they would be ready. 10 days passed and no call. I ended up calling them to ask for an status update on glasses I purchased, told me to check in on Monday. Monday came I called, no answer. I called multiple times throughout the week and nothing. Saturday came and I called again, FINALLY SOMEONE ANSWERED! Stephanie answered and I asked for a status update on my glasses. She tells me there is no order of my glasses…. I called mútele times and even when I was there in person, STEPHANIE supposedly placed my order but she didn’t. She was extremely unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager because I waited 4 weeks for them to notify me, my glasses were never ordered. She took my number down and I haven’t received a phone call. Please fire her, she was rude and didn’t even apologize her error. Tried to make me feel as if it was my fault… Never coming here again. & YES THAT IS MY COMMENT FROM A WEEK AGO!

My appointment was at 3:40pm I arrived by 3:50pm while waited for someone to assist me at the from desk it was 3:53pm I apologize I was 10 min late. She said they had a grace period of 10 min and that I was not going to be seen because I was late 10 min. Made no sense to me, wish I had seen reviews before booking my appointment here. I had an emergency and I thought how lucky of me to have found an appointment the next day. What a disappointment. So different from the other locations I've been to.

I took my whole family here to get new glasses. I have to admit I was very nervous having read the reviews but our experience was amazing. Nicole and Julie are professional and patient. They were so helpful from the moment we walked in until we left. They are short staffed but let's be realistic who isn't. The remote doctor aspect is actually pretty cool and the technology is great. This is the first time I was able to see images taken in real time and discuss the results. During my exam my young very curious child was allowed to watch and now is still telling me he saw the inside of my eye. We will definitely return.

The service is horrible. Manager Dwayne and staff Mario was unprofessional. Order glasses for my daughter. Received notice that it was ready. Went to pick it up. Manager said its not there. Took forever to tell me as I'm waiting. Ask him what's the status as I'm waiting. Finally said they don't have it and not sure why I received a message that it was. Showed him the message. He said the only thing I can do is order it again. No time did he apologize for my inconvenience. Called back a week later and rude worker Mario said well its not ready until next month. Are you kidding me. Again no apology. No explanation except I can only tell you what's in the computer. Just horrible how they treat customer. Let's just say I took my business somewhere else

This place lacks a lot of customer service. The doctor on site has no interpersonal skills. He was very rude and eye exam was extremely rushed. I did not feel comfortable with it and requested to have another one done. Had another one done and the doctor told me my vision was god needed a little adjustment. The doctor who rushed me told me it was terrible and got worse. Also, it has been over a month trying to contact them in regards to my prescription and no one picks up the phone. You on hold for hours and no gets back to you. I suggest you looking else where I do not recommend this place at all. Would leave a 0 star if I can.

I came in for an eye exam and looking to get a new pair of glasses using my new vision insurance. I came in, had a great eye exam and then felt like I hit a brick wall when the staff told me my insurance won’t cover any materials costs (new frames and lenses). I was frustrated, I was difficult, and I was rude. Much to my poor mood and behavior the staff at this location was still willing to help me and managed to work with my insurance to fix the situation. In the end, I got to order a new set of glasses (that I sorely needed) and worked with me despite my actions and behavior. To sum it up, these people are professional, polite, customer focused, and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this store for your eyewear needs!

The staff at the store are very helpful and professional, however, trying to contact them is a nightmare. Unless you want to go there in person. I wanted to speak with the store so I could order more contacts since I couldn’t find my prescription. No one was picking up the phone and I was sent through a vicious cycle of robot dial options. The greater vision works customer service line and online chat function are the most frustrating services I’ve ever encountered. You will go in circles and never be able to contact a person to answer your question.

Just went back this week for a second pair for my bifocal glasses. Julie also helpful with my second pair. Overall the whole staff of Visionworks a very nice and friendly would definitely recommend it to all the consumers who might need and Eye Examination and glasses. just be patient the your glasses in the prescription have to send them away but they do come back pretty quick.🙏🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️🇺🇸👍👍👍👍 just to add when for a second pair of glasses As a backup and Mario and Julie Where very helpful and friendly! This has been the worst service I have received in my life, apart from having a racist staff. The Hispanic boy treated me badly and sarcastic despite the fact that I was Hispanic too. I have 9 weeks waiting for my son's glasses. I brought the prescription and he told me he will call me when they got the insurance approval, two weeks passed and when I called they had done nothing because the Hispanic guy never submitted the papers he even disappeared. The manager supposedly took care of everything and I've been waiting for 3 weeks now, I call and it turns out that they can't find anything with my son's name, the manager is never there. How irresponsible, it has been a joke, a waste of time, my son has been complaining for more than two months because his glasses are broken and nobody here does anything. What helplessness and frustrated I feel no one answers for anything.

I've come here for years and always appreciated the service by everyone, but I had my first and last appointment with Arthur Bababekov and hated it. He sped through the whole eye exam and sounded like he didn't even know how the equipment worked when he was explaining my prescription to me. I asked him for recommendations for dry eyes while wearing contacts and was told too many times that my contact prescription is probably wrong, despite me telling him that I can see perfectly with them aside from when my eyes get dry. After a while of basically insulting my intelligence with half-hearted suggestions to change my contact prescription, I'm told I'm "complaining a lot" about my contacts. Blatant misogyny and medical ignorance from a male doctor? I guess asking for advice is too much for him to handle, which is fine because I probably won't be coming here again lol

Their automated call system is the worst. You can’t get through and talk to a human being. And the automated system struggles to understand your voice. Worst ever call system. To talk to a human being, you will have to drive to the store. Plus, they never called us when an order came in… and they never called us for another appt when they asked me to reschedule to another time.

Great experience at Visionworks!! The Doctor and Associates were efficient and encouraging and they had exactly the frame I was looking for. The great news is that after spending hundreds of dollars on glasses in the past, my insurance covered these glasses and exam in full, even with progressive and transition lenses. Bravo!!

Waited a month to get an appointment which I understand. Then I show up after a million reminders of my appointment that there would be no doctor and I would get a virtual Visit from a doctor at a later time.. This is not what I signed up for. Very disappointed.

Although I was late to my appointment, I was rescheduled 15 minutes later and was seen immediately after I came in. No physical optometrist was in the office, but tests were performed in person by other staff and I was virtually consulted by someone that helped me figure out which prescriptions were best for my contacts and glasses. Then I was patiently assisted by another staff member that helped me find frames in my budget. Everything went smoothly, and the wait time was surprisingly short. Even after the fact that I was unsure about my frames and called back, I received phenomenal customer service and was able to switch out my frames over the phone without having to come in.

I went for new glasses and was greeted with one of the staff that took their time to explain their promotions they were offering and was able to purchase two extra pairs of glasses. Was very satisfied with the person who took care of me.. Many thanks to Lisa

Place was super clean and spacious! Doc was cool and low key. The staff were super helpful and professional! The front rep I forgot her name(😕 placenta Brain here sorry!) she was awesome! She explained my prescription to me and my kid and also helped make my husband an apt for the next day! Her and Mario were super helpful and informative! Deff recommend this place!

Rescheduled twice due to the “doctor calling out.” What it really appears to be is either that doctor is unreliable or the staff just doesn’t want to accommodate later appointments. Had an appointment April 5 called in the middle of the day for the same reason and then rescheduled a month later for the same reason and to be told it doesn’t say the dr called out the last time as the reason for rescheduling. Such unreliable and unprofessional. Mario also showed no empathy after having told him I rescheduled my entire day just for this appointment after having to accommodate my schedule the last time as well! He proceeded to say I got out of hand for being frustrated and brushed off the fact that I no longer wanted services from them as if it doesn’t matter that they lose the business. This LOCATION JUST NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN! I mean look at the reviews!

I had a 4:20 appointment. I arrived 5 minutes early and was asked to sit in the waiting area. No one ever spoke to me again. At 5 o'clock I walked out. For at least the last 10 minutes I was there the 3 employees in the exam area were just chatting amongst themselves. I heard some talk about how hungry they were as I sat there wasting my time. I recommend you take your business elsewhere, I know I will.

While I typically prefer to patronize my local ma and pa stores, my local store was closed today without any notice when they would reopen. I happened to drive by Davis Visionworks and thought I'd see if they could repair my glasses. I couldn't have been more delighted in the service provided by Duane. He repaired, cleaned, and adjusted the broken pair and, without being asked, adjusted and cleaned my sun glasses. Furthermore, he would not accept any payment. He was so personable not only to me, but to another woman as well. He was definitely raised with good morals and values. On my own volition, I've now scheduled an appointment to have my eyes examined. After seeing some reviews, I'll definitely report back on how that experience goes!

I went there for contact lenses. Contact of them in advance to find out what the charges would be. They told me $50 when I actually went. I got a bill for a $100 and question. Why they said it was 50 for the exotic? I exam and another 50 to be fitted for the contacts. That is not what I was told up front. Seems disingenuous to me.

Our visit to Davis Visionworks in Yonkers was wonderful ! The staff is extremely professional, patient and kind. They all have an aura which allows you trust them, and you know that you are in good hands. The glasses come in a variety of cool styles and the free parking makes it very accessible. For those who require public transportation there is a 20 Bus stop right there in front of the shopping center. Very happy that we were referred to this site by my union. Thank you Davis Vision Cnter of Yonkers !
