Love the food here. The food was fresh and the owner was so nice. We ordered the beef and chicken platters. We also tried their rice pudding (topped with pistachio shavings and sweet raisins)

I’m pleased that I visited this little hidden gem restaurant today. Recently, I was craving some good falafels. So Google Maps recommended this restaurant. The owner of the restaurant was super friendly and helpful. After knowing this was our first visit, he suggested the meat platter. We ordered two meat platters, one falafel, and 1 hummus. We absolutely love all the dishes!!! They were freshly made and super tasty. I also highly recommend the rice pudding. Very creamy and savory. I’ll defiantly go back to this restaurant again!!!

Yo... this place is the spot. I just happened to be in the area and only had 20 minutes to find a place to eat. Everywhere else in the area seemed to be a sit-down restaurant, and this unassuming place seemed quick and cheap. Let me tell you, I'm not kidding when I say this is the best halal food I've ever had, better than any chain restaurant you'll find. GET THE FREAKIN' CHICKEN SHAWARMA PLATTER

Got the chicken kebab platter and chicken shawarma salad with falafel app. The falafel was pretty good when eaten fresh and decently sized. The chicken kebab platter has really moist and tender chicken with flavorful rice. With the salad, you get a lot of chicken relative to the salad. Overall, a lot of food and we were able to able another meal out of it.

The BEST Hawawshi I've had! If you haven't had any you must try it! It's basically meat, stuffed inside a pita bread baked in all its glory spices and juices. So so good! They also have a drink called Sobia which is basically the equivalent to horchata. Super nice owner! Support local 💚

I always prefer to go local places for authentic flavors and this is the place that delivers exactly that. It’s a small place perhaps not for a family dine out but great for quick bite or take out. I have ordered a few times and always consistent and flavorful. My personal best is the Chicken Kebab Platter. I will order and eat it any day. Highly recommend.

My husband and I come here often and love the food here! We usually get the chicken shawarma platter (I also get some shrimp added to mine) and the falafel. This food always last us 2 meals (sometimes even 3 meals for me) because the portions are generously big. For the cost of the platter considering how much food you get, it is so worth it! My husband is from Greece and I am Greek as well, so we know good quality food and love coming to eat here. The owner is also super friendly and nice to us. Such a kind and good soul. Can not recommend this place enough!

Wow are we glad we found this place! If you are a chicken and rice person then this is the place for you. The owner was amazingly friendly and he had us try a few things. Such a nice guy! The quality and freshness of their meat was out of this world. The white sauce was the best I’ve ever had. This place is instantly on our rotation! Can’t wait for the next time we come here.

Best Halal spot in the area!! I ordered for the first time on doordash and it was so good that i had to go and pick some up fresh. The combo platter comes with fresh salad, flavorful rice, and piping hot beef and chicken topped off with white sauce and hot sauce, more than enough for the average eater. Will definitely be coming back often!

My boyfriend is a recent regular and he really likes this place. Its a really good price for the quality and quantity. The people who work here are also so nice. I always steal from my boyfriends stuff.

We love Mo Grill and Sweets! We have eaten many of the items on the menu and have thoroughly enjoyed everything. My daughter tells everyone they have the best gyros. Reasonable prices and great service! We also love the rice pudding, baklava and tres leches cake.

Best kept secret in Somerville, NJ. This is a small take out place with few tables and chairs on the sidewalk. I ordered the meat combo platter and rice pudding, and they were out of this world. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, will definitely go back.

Fresh and tasty food. They are very friendly and caring. Yesterday I was on my walk my glucose level went very low I went there to buy some food. When he realized my sugar level is going low he gave me sweet bahklawa for free. Rice pudding was also very yummy .

I ordered the chicken shawarma platter, koshari, and chili dog. The whole meal was phenomenal, everyone loved it. The flavors are well balanced and infused in the food, I can tell Mo put their heart in what they do and seriously want their customers to fall in love with what’s offered. Do get the extra white sauce, it will worth the extra dollar. Oh and watch the portion, they don’t play around. I definitely will return.

Great food! I got a mixed meat platter and it was delicious! You can really taste the spices used to prepare and cook the chicken. Everything was super fresh too! On top of the food being amazing, the owner and his son were incredibly friendly and welcoming! Its a pretty small place when you’re walking by but it’s too good to pass up. I tried their Chicken Shawarma Sandwich/Platter. Chicken was very tender, perfect blend of spices, very juicy and portion of food is more than sufficient. Prices are very reasonable.

An all time go to when hungry. Never had a bad meal, service is always on the money as well. The combo platter always does the job for my family and i. Highly recommend and tell all my friends about it.

As a person who lives primarily in NYC, I love some Halal chicken over rice. This place is up there with some of the best of them. Great portion size, amazing sauce and the desserts were fantastic. Definitely a place to check out if you’re looking for good Halal food in the area.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what these other reviews are raving about but my order looked nothing like it. I ordered two Lamb Kebab platters and what I received was a platter of disappointment. There was no seasoning on the rice or “salad”. As if the words pepper and salt was not in their vocabulary. The salad consisted of some chopped up steak tomato with no flavor and some shreds of sweet onion and iceberg lettuce. The kebab itself was decent. At no point in this meal was I looking forward to more or seconds. If you’ve eaten decent Mediterranean like Mamoun’s, this place doesn’t even come close. If you’re not accustomed to flavor or spices, then I guess you got what you want. If I wanted straight orange rice with no taste I’d just get it from the supermarket. No comment on their desserts as I didn’t try them.

Great platters! We had one combo platter, one chicken platter, and one beef gyro platter. All were fantastic. The meat was very juicy and cooked well. Their sauces are delicious too! To note, all their seating was outdoors, so be prepared.

I’ve been here at least three times now, and the reason I keep coming back is because of how good the food really is. As always, I come back for the “Mix Combo” which is just a platter with the half-and-half of chicken and lamb. It also comes with a side of vegetables, rice, and the sauce. The third time I came to the restaurant, the owner was incredibly nice and even gave me their dessert known as rice pudding. Everything was delicious every time I came here to eat and as always and I will definitely come back again.

My family and I eat at Mo Grill regularly and I have never been disappointed. Usually I don’t leave reviews, but this place truly deserves it. The family there is super kind and ALWAYS gives us samples of the drinks or free desserts, drinks, etc. Out of all the places in Somerville, this restaurant is my favorite. Fantastic customer service, delicious food, and great atmosphere. If I could give more than 5 stars I really would. My favorite is the chicken shawarma platter but you can get anything here and it’s delicious. Also, the drinks are all 10/10!
