This place is MAGICAL!! The loop hike is intense. Be ready to work. 4+ miles (don’t let their mention of 3 miles fool you, I used an app to track us) and a couple of hours. But so worth it. Amazing rock features, the river is clean (despite all the litter left by previous adventurers) and great for a wade or a swim. And the forest is lush and vibrant. They also have a camp ground that we plan to return to.

I just visited this park for the first time today and was very impressed. The Alum Cave trail was worth the 90 minute drive to get here. I highly suggest it to any hikers or wilderness lovers that want a new place to check out. I only passed two other people so I had the place to myself.

Great park for a camping week or weekend. We had a site next to the river and the sounds were perfect for sleeping. A three mile hike, tubing and swimming, everything you think of when you you consider going camping.

Absolutely love it. My family had so much fun and we didn't even touch most of the park. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!

Park is absolutely beautiful. Wear walking shoes and pass all of those signs that says "Enter at your own risk". It's absolutely worth it.

Always love it here. Nice trail to walk with paths down to the river. Nice un-supervised swimming hole (fairly deep when the water isn't low). Playground on top of hill of trail. There is a swing set and metal slide as you make your way down the trail...trail forks to upper and lower trail,... lower trail has a boardwalk and steep steps, circles to the upper trail which has beautiful views....the trail is nice but lots of rocks and tree roots to watch out for. Restrooms located by the swimming hole. Plan on no cell service down in park or immediately outside of it.

We drove six hours to get here, so we really had to hope the park lived up to the reviews! We had an incredible three nights here. Site 20 is directly across from check in/store: great if you need wifi or little things throughout your stay, but lacking in privacy. This was only an issue as our dogs barked every time someone pulled into the store, which made us feel like a bit of a nuisance. When we come back, we’ll likely stay at a different riverfront site. The park was kept in beautiful shape. The employees were beyond friendly, and even changed our trash for us. There’s plenty of water fill stations, the bathroom with showers is a plus, and the trails were a blast! *While this park is pet-friendly provided your dogs are leashed, stay alert. We did have one dog off a leash come at us on our walk. A bit frustrating but more human error than a problem with the park.

A nice little state park with some easy, family friendly trails that go along the river. The boardwalk section underneath the rocks is really cool. I went tubing down the river a few summers ago and had a blast. The swimming hole just past the bridge is really nice when the water is high enough and a fun place to relax and swim.

The campground and staff were amazing. The camp store is friendly and stocked with unique items. The campground was clean and peaceful with plenty of privacy between sites. Plenty of hiking and river floating.

The Middle Fork River runs through this beautiful West Virginia State Park. Has hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, a playground and picnic areas. The park is very clean with nice bathrooms and shower. There is no wifi in the campground but a great place to unplug and relax.

Nice campground. Sites are a little bit too close together, but the creek running by it is very nice. So are the people managing it. I give it a 4 out of 5.

For a leisurely hike just follow the trail out along the river.... when the trail then cuts up the mountain ...turn around. We did not and it was quite a workout. Was anticipating maybe a nice view or overlook from up above but there was none. When we go again we will turn around and enjoy the beautiful river views on the way back. Great place to explore and then finish off your hike with a dip in the water.

Enjoyed the loop trail through the lower "cave." Nice woods and boardwalk through the "cave" by the river. The dog was a little concerned about the boardwalk, but made it with encouragement. Make sure to download your map before hiking if you want it. We had no signal at this park.

So beautiful, my husband and I visited here as a pit stop on our honeymoon and it was so beautiful and the people around us were so incredible sweet.

Beautiful state park with a great swimming area and nice facilities for camping, picnicking, and hiking. The leaves are absolutely gorgeous in the fall.

Audra State Park is my favorite camping spot. The Middle Fork River runs right through the middle of the park. The campground is well taken care of, and you can tell the staff cares. They are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. There is a ton of hiking trails and spots to jump in the river.

Great campground with a nice park area that has swings and a playground for the little ones to enjoy. Amazing views of the river that is right next to many of the camp sites. Electric hookup for our camper worked great and the water fill station is right next to the camp store and check in station. Bathrooms are slightly dated in design but very clean. Overall a great experience!

We got a perfect site rite in front of the playground, rite across the road from the river just beside the showers and restrooms. We didn't have to worry about anything except making s'mores.tellinf ghost stories and having a great time which we did

Must stop if you are in the area. Went for a beautiful hike! Had multiple places for swimming in the river.

Beautiful campground with lots of beautiful sites. Bathrooms could use an upgrade but always clean. Laundry room was very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. WiFi depended on how close you were to the registration office. No spectrum phone service but got a little tv

Beautiful state park with great spots for swimming! The only bad thing I would say, is piggy-people leaving beer cans and broken bottles all over in some areas. Alcohol is "supposed" to be banned there, but some people just don't follow that rule

It's just an absolutely beautiful place. The leaves are just starting to change here. The walking path we took wasn't terrible. We plan on exploring it more in the spring and summer with the kids.
