This small pizzeria was recommended to me by a friend and they spoke about this place like it was the best pizzeria in the world. Usually when someone overly recommends a place I tend to be disappointed. I was somewhat reluctant to come because it is over an hour drive from NYC but I decided to make the trip. This was DEFINITELY worth the drive! I have had pizza in Chicago, in New Haven, and even Italy. This pizza tops them all! This adorable couple treats you like their own and their portions are very generous. I will make this trip every chance I get because their fries are PERFECT, crispy on the outside, but not hard or burnt. Their mozzarella sticks are to die for and I'll take their wings over any other place any day of the week. Do yourself a favor and make your way over!

Don't let this tiny, tucked away eatery fool you. The food is FANTASTIC. Everything is made with love and care and is delicious. The people are wonderful. They didn't have beets for the beet salad we ordered, but made up for it with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, black olives, and fresh mozzarella cheese as well as a delicious homemade ginger dressing. It was DIVINE. Our pizza and garlic knots were delicious as well. The portions were huge and our check was so small we left a tip for almost the same amount! Totally worth it. We live in Atlanta but if we come back to Poughkeepsie, we'll certainly eat here again!

I've been to Dave's twice so far and from beginning to end my experience has been nothing short of excellent! Dave and his wife have a great work ethic and make you feel very welcome. If your getting pizza he'll show you it before putting it in the box then ask if you'd like to sprinkle any condiments on it before closing the top. After paying they hand you a opened packet hand wipe. Great customer service!

Truly not only such good food, but the kindest tio keeping the service lovely as well! My order got cancelled through Grubhub because of a issue on their end, I called the restaurant, and he was more than happy to help me and fulfill my order. This establishment is a gem in the area. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We ordered Kary’s vegetable pizza, best pizza we have ever had! They use very fresh ingredients and it shows! Please support this fine establishment!

My fiancé & I have ordered food from here 3 times so far and intend to keep doing so. Their large pizza is definitely large (18" I believe) and is the best price around. That isn't the only reason we keep returning though. The food is on point and delicious and the woman and man we've interacted with are incredibly sweet and nice. I believe Dave's Cucina also has daily specials. We will surely be returning. Again and again. And you should to.

This place was highly recommended by our neighbors, and we were thinking of different catering options for the nurses at the hospital where we had our baby delivered. Everyone absolutely loved the pizzas and mozzarella sticks. Definitely check this place out if you are in this area. The owners were amazing and very helpful. They quickly made roughly 6-7 pizzas, salad, and the mozzarella sticks in about 30-40 minutes.

Absolutely the best pizza in the Hudson Valley so far. The owners have pride in how they cook everything. I live in Highland NY but this is my new spot. I can’t wait to bring my friends & family.

Sooooo good!! The food tastes so fresh and delicious! The food was hot and you can tell that it is homemade. We ordered multiple items and everything was 10/10!! The owners are so nice and friendly! Best pizza in PK. People say they have fresh ingredients. Dave’s lives it. I’ve never had a bad pie. I’ve watched him make pies and seen and tasted the love in action. Taste is amazing and consistent. Beyond that, these folks are just good people. It’s easy to support such a great team. Get a pie or two, you won’t regret it. Oh….and the mozzarella sticks. Hand made. Amazing!!!!

😁 STAYS OPEN LATE, in the AM's! Especially great if youre a college student up late. Owner is super friendly, small family owned restaurant, and Uber Eats compatible delivered right too you even at like 2 am. Plus the food is good!

I got a shrimp quesadilla & some buffalo wings. I placed an order through DoorDash. I got a shrimp quesadilla & some buffalo wings. The price was decent, considerably cheap compared to other food places. The portions were good. I got French fried with my wings (they were included) & a salad with my quesadilla. I am a foodie, but I love to save some money. So I’m very satisfied. Everything charges separate down to packets of condiments so it was nice to see the combos I wasn’t expecting lol. Most definitely would order again. But mostly overall, it taste very good !!

This hidden gem has some of the best Italian food in the area and 100% the best pesto in the area. Also, No one in the area makes a homemade mozzarella stick like this, which is how we actually found out about this great restaurant. The owner is absolutely amazing and works his tail off, sometimes even staying open until 3-4am, to make sure everyone gets exactly what they ordered, using only the freshest ingredients which makes the food exquisite. Definitely a must try!

A true gem! Wow is the first word that comes to mind. From the hospitality to the food everything was top notch. I researched restaurants in the area for days leading up to my trip there and I am so glad I chose to go here. The food was absolutely incredible, everything was so fresh and made exactly how we ordered. The spaghetti and meatballs was sooo good. The meatballs are not only delicious but huge, portion sizes are generous to say the least! There is a family feel there and a huge sense of pride. Dave brought me a dish of his beets to try and I could see how proud he is of them. I have never liked beets and I ate every morsel in that bowl. They were so good! We were so impressed with how kind everyone was and the customer service we received. If I am ever in Poughkeepsie again this is a MUST on my list! Thank you for a wonderful meal and amazing service!

Ordered from Dave's Cucine for the first time tonight. The food was great and the moz sticks were amazing. It's obvious that they take pride in preparing the food and want their customers to be happy. My husband and I decided that this is our new pizza place.
