Loved the food and the services was excellent. Must tries Brushetta and House Salad. As for the food, I think I'm going to have to sample everything ❤️

The salmon was the best salmon I think I’ve ever had! For the gnocchi, it was good! My dad said he really liked the sauce. We also got the cheese bread and then you get 4 pieces of bread too with butter. So it definitely fills you up!

Overall, one of the best Italian restaurants around the town ! We ordered Whole Wheat Pasta in Vegetarian Sauce, Cheese bread and House Salad. We love the house salad and house bread with white butter. The Pasta was good as well.

First time here after several recommendations. Did not disappoint. Great staff and food was awesome. Recommend the fresh bruschetta. Salmon dinner excellent. Meatballs homemade. Can't wait to come back.

Traveling from PA back to SC, I found this popular restaurant, which is a short drive off I-79 in Fairmont, WV. This family Italian stop has a ton of parking which was handy with our cargo trailer. We were greeted and offered seating on their rear deck overlooking the Tygart Valley River. The weather was perfect and Emily took great care of us. We split a Caesar Salad and a Meatball Sandwich with hot peppers. Both were outstanding! In fact, I took part of the sub for road snacking later. The food is fresh and definately worth a try. Sorry about the full size salad pic...we hadn't eaten since very early, so there wasn't much salad left for pictures. Oops.

Stopped in from out of town and was pleased with the service. Marinara wasn't our family's 'cup of tea' but each dish was well prepared and worth the cost. We got a entree salad (delicious), 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza. The pasta dishes came with side salads that were very good. I would have no reservations about returning for another meal and sampling more of the relatively extensive menu.

The wait to get a table was about 20mins, my sister recommended we go here since she came last year. I ordered chicken alfredo, which was pretty good. The bread was amazing. Salad was decent. It was more on the expensive side. I gave it 3 stars because the service was super slow, wasnt that great. Our waitress was nice but really slow. A elderly couple that got seated after us got there order, drinks, food, and check before us. We were there for almost 2hrs. I even heard the couple comment on how we got there before them & were waiting longer than them. Must've been one of the managers came to check on us too, we asked for boxes and still waiting 5mins after for the waitress to bring them. We had a to go order too & that wasn't exactly ready by the time we were ready to go. I can understand being busy, but we're 2 people and a couple came in after us got everything before us, so not the best service. I was kinda disappointed by that.

The food was good. However, the atmosphere was not welcoming. The waitress we had Vivian was rude. We got served bread with no plate. Then, I asked her for a plate and it was like a huge request. Also, when we got our food she didn't check on how we were doing. Lastly, when we paid- We had to wait 10 minutes for her to bring back our change. There were not a lot of people there and it was just ridiculous. We will not be returning.

Gotta say, heard allot before I tried it. Overall really nice choice for dinner! Portions were big,my sausage and peppers was delightful. Inside is a little dated, kinda tacky even but the service and food was the main focus, and it didn't disappoint. Wine was reasonably priced and complimented my meal perfectly, we really had a great time, thank you muriales!!

I had heard about Muriale's for years but this was my first time there. When I saw the dated interior and the sports-bar decor, I had my doubts. I almost suggested we try somewhere else after a 45-minute wait (we were told it would be about 20). I'm glad we didn't leave. It ended up being one of the best Italian meals I've had. The Bolognese was the best I've ever had. The staff was friendly (except a somewhat abrasive bartender) and the service was great. The other customers are another story. I heard more casual racism during that 45 minute wait than I've probably heard in the last 10 years. It continued during dinner, as well and not just from one person or group. I'm a lifelong WV resident and grew up in the coalfields. I've heard that kind of talk all my life but even I was shocked at the nonchalant way they dropped racial slurs. I wanted to say sometime but my wife stopped me. Fairmont being a college town, I expected better. As good as the food was, we're just not comfortable going back there.

Was taken out for my birthday by a friend . I had never been here as I am originally from Pittsburgh, not West Virginia. Talk about authentic....our waitress had come over from Italy 6 weeks prior for college. Amazing food, wonderful staff and service. Homemade pastas, sauces and dressings makes this restaurant a must!

Growing up in the area, I hadn't been to Muriales in years. And it didn't disappoint. By far, it's the best Italian I've had. And the side salad and dressing is still the best.

Muriale's kitchen is good, and lots of locals enjoy the cuisine. I believe it's some of the best American Italian in the area, the Marinara sauce is extremely flavorful. The restaurant itself is full of character with its decor and makes it fun to eat there. The staff is very polite. But it is American Italian food. And the whipped cream canoli is a pass for any true Italian but the banana rum cakes is a great substitute.

Company took us out for our holiday meal. Food was on point the whole meal. Had apps, meals, and dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our waitress(Lisa)was beyond pleasant, and we never had to ask for anything. The atmosphere is outdated for sure. Plates and silverware are worn. Could use a nice update to match the rest of the experience. I'm going back and recommend!

Best place in town by a long shot, but the restaurant choices in Fairmont are pretty limited. They make spectacular Italian dishes, so much so that we ate here two nights in a row while on vacation. The Chicken Parm should be your first choice. The chicken is perfectly prepared and very juicy while not being soggy. The spaghetti was actually angel hair pasta, which surprised us, but takes nothing away from anything. The house marinara is the secret. Got the gnocchi the second night with the two meatballs and that great marinara. Plenty of sauce for a healthy dose to each individual gnocchi. Portions are perfect to leave quite content. Would not miss another chance to have dinner here. Our wait staff also were very well trained and perfectly attentive. This place would be top tier in any city. Prices were reasonable.

I have been by Muriale's several times over the years and always said to myself "I'm gonna have to try that place next time I'm up here" (I live a few hours away). I finally got to try it tonight and I'll definitely go back. I had the tour of Italy, which consists of lasagna, ravioli, rigatoni and a meatball, all of which were good but honestly, I wasn't too thrilled with the meatball. Thats just my personal taste though. I also had an appetizer with Italian peppers and italian sausage, which was good. I'd recommend Muriale's to anybody in the area. I look forward to going back to try other favorites like ziti and hoagies. By the way, I had takeout, so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but I hear they have great service

The food was delicious! I felt the price was good for the portion sizes they served. On par with Texas Roadhouse and maybe a bit more expensive than Olive Garden, but way better. The staff was plentiful and friendly; although they didn't look entirely happy to be there either (perhaps an excessively strict manager, who knows!). Overall, I would recommend this for a nice meal out or date night and plan to go back.

Having had our expectations high because of my family living near by,we made plans for a get together of 10 + members and were treated to welcoming accommodations for all and had exceptional service from appetizers to well made adult beverages and a very warm felt like home cooked meal.We did notice the intimate setting in the front for what would make a nice date night out.All that being said I will always have this place to remind me and my family of a memories.

This is our go to restaurant in Fairmont when we are home visiting. Authentic Italian quisine including the homemade pastas and amazing sauce! The service is impeccable as well as the atmosphere. We just ate here as a family of 18 after a funeral and accommodated us perfectly complete with 2 servers and utmost attention even stoping to take our group photo in another room after our meal. They suggested the appetizers platters. Highly recommend! They were delicious & perfect to share family style with huge portions! We all took home leftovers from our regular meals!

Great service from the bartender on an unusually busy Tuesday evening. Home made sauce with GF pasta was excellent 😋 Photo of peppers and sausage appetizer didn't last long enough to photograph 🤣

A MUST GO TO here in Fairmont. The Italian food was amazing, service was amazing, the drinks were amazing. The Cesare salad dressing was unlike we have ever had before. It almost had a spice to it. I loved the shrimp fra Diavlo as my entree. It was SO GOOD. One thing we did wish was for the meatballs to be a little bigger. My fiance thought that the meat used in the meatballs was too finely minced. Odd thing, but that's how he felt! Definitely will be back :)

If you are looking for excellent Italian food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff in the heart of West Virginia look no further. I don't live there but visit friends and we often take in a meal at Muriale's when in town. You won't be disappointed. PS: Great desserts too.
