I have tried calling several times to schedule an appointment to get my VHIC but nobody picks up the phone when I select to talk to enrollment person. It just rings, it doesnt even give me a choice to leave a message or a time that I may get someone. All I can say is they need to get there stuff straightened out and treat us Veterans with the respect we deserve. I would like to us the benefits that I have earned.

Because I'm a veteran, they are usually very helpful and polite. But it is the VA, and things are generally mishandled at the top end, leaving receptionists and nearly everyone there, frustrated, and always on the edge of cranky. Some VA doctors are great, some horrible. I've run into both in Allentown.

Being a registered nurse and a veteran I don't have as much trouble as many do getting the care that is needed. I know the questions to ask and I do not leave the room until I have asked every question that is on my mind. In fact, I write them down so I have a list and that way I do not forget what I came here for. I have no trouble with my nurse or my primary physician they both seem very nice and concerned but I cannot say that for every person who works there. There are some who seem rude, very short with the patients. I feel sorry for them because it's evident that they do not realize what it is like to have PTSD or to be ill from wounds received while in service. But if by this time they have not learned to be compassionate and caring, Perhaps it is time for them to get out of their professions.

The Allentown VA clinic has been a shining star since I first sought treatment there about a year ago. A great staff who I truly feel are doing their very best to help the veterans. After secure messaging my primary care doctor for refills on my meds. and receiving no reply, (very unusual) I spent hours on the phone and I finally learned my fantastic doctor is not available for 2 months! The administration at the Allentown clinic took no action to notify the patients of this doctor of this problem and advise us of a alternate method of receiving treatment. Just another slap in in the face to the veterans who protected his/her family. On the bright side, if they make another "Article 99" movie, this person has the role of the administrator down pat.

All in all this VA is pretty five star out of five star in terms of veteran assistance and attitudes towards veterans. I have not yet once had a complaint and I've been going here for five maybe six years. The next closest VA that I've been to would be the one up in Wilkes-Barre other than that the Philadelphia and Coatesville are pretty much mediocre.

Been here for months and in constant pain and all my appointments are months apart. Come here if you wanna die slow. The counseling and dental and X-ray are good. The rest is horrible. Meds always take forever to get refilled and most times are never ordered. Appointments are rarely scheduled when I do get through

Mental health treatment was excel.lent. sad to say after leaving this five-star I'm going to read over reviews and reminded me of the counselor here who I called for help and told me to find it in the civilian arena but other than that the doctors and nurses and the staff at the deaths of always been great as well as my mental treatment.

Primary care is a joke. Women are second class. You have to fight for anything you need and sometimes it's just easier to seek help elsewhere despite the financial hit.

Alice in Allentown Audiology is outstanding! She fixed my hearing aid today and made my day!! Its not the first time either, Alice did my last hearing test and was really nice. Thank you Alice.

They never pick up the phone. The service is great when you get there. The Patient Advocates are excellent But they are much better than Lyons VA hospital

I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I've interacted with at this VA and I've been going here very regularly for 3 years. I really do appreciate the entire staff for their good service , care, and compassion.

Great little VA clinic, much better than driving all the way to Wilkes Barr or philly

Just another mediocre VA clinic. Some staff are friendly, but that’s about it. Prepare to constantly get the runaround and no clear answers. When calling prepare to be transferred to nowhere or be put on hold until you give up.

26 year old veteran here. Not an old head but.... Seriously. Take your pops or whomever to a local facility. This is probably my first and last google review. I'm saving you and your family the heartache of what I'm going through.

All of the staff is caring and treated my dad with respect. Alice in audiology is a joy to work with and takes time to teach me on how to help my dad with his hearing aids. Dad is 99 yo and needs more care. They have accommodated all of his needs.
