Well kept lake ,spotless surroundings ,very peaceful , nature at its best , just done an early walk with dog part of way round lake , lots of geese on grass , disturbed unfortunately by me , they didn't seem to mind and went straight on lake , few wild swimmers on lake too

Beautiful setting. Lovely place to walk. Great place to sit and relax for the day. Fishing possible with a licence. Great place to watch the sunset

One of my favourite areas of the Lakes, though it is nearby, so I may be biased. Tourist numbers are not overwhelming. Some of the loveliest views in the Lakes and very accessible, especially the Forestry Commission properties that have wide gravelled paths, cafes and family friendly activities.

Parked up at the side of the A66 and walked down to the side of the lake, so quiet dispite being next to the road and loved views of the lake

Beautiful place to walk or kayak/paddleboard. Great views. On hot days get there early to get parked!

One work "delicious" definately the best place to have breakfast, 8 have very serious food allergies and these are taken very seriously and catered for. We always go while in the lakes and definately would recommend, very friendly helpful staff and beautiful surroundings. Keep up the good work and we look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful weekend cottage stay overlooking the lakes and mountains. Treks are all close by too.
