BED BUGS!!! We moved 2 rooms in the hotel and both had bed bugs. I had to find another hotel at 1 AM to stay the night. I had booked the hotel for 2 nights, the hotel staff said they'll refund the full amount but was refunded only 1 night. Thankfully I was headed back to Whitehorse after a week so I was able to go to the hotel and get the refund for the second night. The staff was courteous but the rooms are a dump. The beds are stained, bathrooms are barely functional. The biggest issue is bed bugs on all mattresses. The hotel needs to be fumigated and shut down until then. You're better off camping than staying at this hotel

I have stayed at many hotels all around the world. This hotel absolutely was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. This was my last resort as every hotel in town was booked out. No A/C, place smells like cigarettes, room was absolutely filthy. The room looked like it wasnโ€™t cleaned in months. There was a build up of dust and trash in the corner of my room. This place does not deserve to be in business at all. I would much rather stay in the woods and get absolutely mauled by a bear and a moose at the same time than stay at this disgraceful hoarder house.

When I pulled in I thought I had pulled into the wrong building. After a long drive I walked into the sad scene . They charged me twice for my stay before I even got there. I don't know why they have a " Pet fee" When my pet is cleaner than anything in there. Got booked in a double room. Someone was staying next door. It looked like the dividing door was going to fall at anytime, or had been damaged. The main door did not feel secure at all. I walked in and walked out. Don't book this place if you want to feel safe. Lots of old homeless guys walking around. Honestly the whole building made me feel sick. NOT a family hotel. Only good thing was the front desk girl was very nice.

Found bed bugs in our room almost immediately after arriving to the room. We showed up, dropped off our things, came back from dinner and the first thing I see after I decide to lay in bed is a bed bug crawling toward me. Got a full refund considering we checked in for a total of 2 hours but honestly not worth the hassle. Go spend the extra $80 a night at any other hotel and feel comfortable.

No AC, poor room locks, needs a major refresh. Wifi didn't work when we stayed there. Curtains were partially light blocking which made the room quite bright all night this time of year. Location is nice but I'd think twice about walking around outside late at night.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! BED BUGS AND MORE!! First of all, I have never written a bad review. I put up with a lot and am not picky, so this is saying something. I must warn others! My experience: - Booked the cheapest hotel in town- I'm no stranger to lower-end 2/3 star budget-friendly hotels, never had a problem. Pictures on website looked decent enough and being right across from the river looked nice (in hindsight, should have read the reviews!!) - Called ahead of stay to inquire about airport shuttle as listed on hotel website. Turns out there is no airport shuttle. Oh well, disappointing but no big deal, I can take a taxi. - Got in the taxi at the airport, told him where I was headed, driver told me this was the worst hotel in town, it has bed bugs and "crazy" people hanging around outside. Took his advice with a grain of salt as he was a bit quirky (in hindsight, should have listened!) - Got to the hotel, they let me check in early (friendly staff was the only thing good about this place). Room was nothing special as expected, but had a funny smell (chemical-like and not like the smell of fresh cleaning products, I don't know what it was but it was there the whole time). Annoying but still didn't ruin things for me. - Room extremely hot and stuffy, around 26 degrees inside, despite outside being no more than 18 degrees during the day, no ac, small window that only opens a crack with no airflow. They had fans at least. Ok, I can live with this. We are spending most of our time out and about anyway. - Asked front desk about the comment from the taxi driver about the bed bugs as I was really getting worried. They told me they used to have them but it was dealt with and no recent complaints (shouldn't have believed this!) Ok, no big deal, it happens. - Also asked about complimentary breakfast as listed on website...guess what...there is no breakfast - The afternoon after the first night, I started breaking out in bites. I searched the bed, which had a stained and filthy mattress, and sure enough found a bunch of bed bugs which I put in a tissue and showed the front desk. After I found them I called around and by some miracle was able to find a room at another hotel at 9pm that evening. We packed our bags and were able to fully enjoy the rest of our trip, although itchy and bitten, and hoping we didn't take any bugs home with us. - Went on a tour the next day and our tour guide told us the hotel is where they house the homeless in the winter!!! (sounds like a great program, no problem with that, but it should not be advertised as a place for tourists to stay!!) - In the panic of trying to get out of that place, I had left my cell phone charger plugged into the wall. I went back the next morning and asked if I could retrieve it and they told me no one could go into the room including staff because they were conducting pest control. Fair enough. I left my number for them to call once they were able to get in to the room. No call ever received. - They at least were quick to give me a refund for the 2 out of 3 nights we didn't stay - The pictures on their website are extremely deceiving. The website shows a nice patio with chairs and umbrellas...our room had a view to this patio which is not open, paint all peeled off, garbage and junk everywhere. Summary: gross, smelly, dirty, bed bugs, overheating rooms, no breakfast or airport shuttle as advertised.

Upon check in and looking in the room, Bedsheets were blood stained in several areas and had yellow bodily fluids. Front desk agent said she can change my rooms. I denied the change as I was questioning the cleaning practices at the hotel. The sink handle was broken and the shower had pink mold. I sent an email to management and I still havenโ€™t received any reply or refund. I was also over charged on my credit card.

Very much run down, in need of total redecoration. Door posts of rooms cracked as doors seem to have been kicked in, floor very flexible coming loose, electrical installation not healthy nor safe, black mould in the shower, etc. etc. Many rooms have no riverview, look out at a inner coutyard no-one has spent time in for ages and which is full of rubbish. However a big deal was made of 'voluntarily' signing the terms and sharing your creditcard details for 'incidentals'. Manager not friendly at all, even hostile when we made a point of all the shortcomings. So no stars at all unless they are a negative rating.

The rooms had mold in them and broken windows. It was nasty! I asked for a different room and was told, "this isn't Vancouver." There were stains all down the hallway and in the rooms. There was trash from a previous guest in the room. There were multiple extension cords across the hallway floor. Don't stay here! We drove from Alaska to Washington state, this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and was absolutely disgusting. Our other hotels for the trip were amazing and none of them were in Vancouver.

Beware of bed bugs. Got a room for my employee and they woke up with a ton of bites, tried to contact the manager for a refund/compensation but keep getting my calls dodged and I'm not being called back. I called the local health authority, they have received many complaints about bed bugs but I was told that they really can't do much about it. Don't stay here.

Seems like there is nothing being done about the bed bug problem in this hotel. As I read past reviews there are many reports of bed bugs in this hotel and yet the bed bug problem continues. Last week my daughter and I drove to the next town and slept in the car.

The worst experience I have ever had! - My plan was to spend the night at Whitehorse and drive up North to Dawson city on the next day. First, upon my arraivles I was given a room that has some guests, who were staying in that room. I went back up to the front desk and they give this room on second floor that had BED BUGS! Also on the top of that the room had a every bad smell. Definitely this is the first and last time me spending a night at this place

I've stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms over the past decade and this one was perfectly fine, and not nearly as bad as I had feared (especially after the taxi driver told me during the drive over that this is a "homeless hotel"). Room, while older and worn, was clean, and included a fridge and microwave. Very centrally located, with all of Whitehorse's main attractions located within walking distance.

Strange scent is there the moment you enter in the room, I was worried about the bedbugs after reading the prior reviews but i didn't faced any problems with that. Giving 2 stars because of location and cleanliness of the rooms that's it. Other than that i don't advice anyone to stay here more than a day or two. I was here only for 1 night for my work purposes.

A great location in the heart of everything. Good value for the money. The owners are hard working people. Air conditioning is bad for the environment, I am glad that I could open my window and let in some natural air. Rooms are not new, but well cleaned after each guest leaves. Friendly atmosphere.

This hotel is very close to Whitehorse's downtown shops and restaurants. This is all it has going for it unfortunately. When we arrived, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk and check us in. Once we got to the room, it was boiling hot with just a fan blowing more hot air around. There is a musky odour similar to urine and cigarette smoke. The television did not work as it said there was no satellite connection. The wifi works well but the heat is slightly unbearable. The rooms were not the most clean. The radiator was falling apart and the bathroom had mold on the ceiling. It's a place to sleep if you are just passing through but I do not recommend long term stays.

How is hesitant to book this due to the bad comments. Our room was great. It was clean and smell fresh. It was quiet. We were in 128 the family room. We had a great night sleep. Great, budget option.

We were nervous about staying here after we saw the bed bug reviews, but the rooms were clean. We checked the beds carefully and didn't see any bed bugs or have any problems. The rooms are very basic but what we expected from the price. The front desk staff was very friendly and considerate.

The staff were very nice. My tv didnโ€™t work, but the man working the desk came up almost immediately and worked on it for a while and got it working. One star deduction because it didnโ€™t seem like the heat was working, they allow pets - and they can be loud, and I was on the second floor and they donโ€™t have an elevator (but they did offer to help carry my bags). Important that the room was clean, and there were no bugs!

Booked this place in advance for when we arrived and when we were leaving the Yukon, so this place was given two tries by us. Oh boyโ€ฆ The rooms arenโ€™t cleaned well. Half a chicken was left in the microwave, hair in the showers (which also didnโ€™t drain very well too), stained towels and linen, a couple small bugs in the bed when we lifted the sheets (but I donโ€™t think they were bedbugs), a weird mouldy smell to the rooms, stains and paint chips everywhere, dirty coffee carafe, wall lights that didnโ€™t work because there was no nearby outlets to plug them intoโ€ฆ the list continues but you get the point. We will happily pay an extra 100 bucks to stay somewhere else in the future as we feel like I put my health and safety at risk in this place. We informed the staff of the cleanliness and sent a thorough review to the business.. hopefully they get it together and make some big improvements for future guests. If you book a night here, I hope you have a better experience than us! *also, there was no free breakfast
