Where do I begin? I'll just say I needed a place to go and regroup, refresh and feel revived again from all the holiday hype. Cedar on the Brazos was not only peaceful and a blessing to my soul, the beautiful human being, Ms. Janice who oversees the place is the icing on the cake. She's absolutely wonderful! I hope to go back soon one day.

We love this place and have stayed here three times. Janice is a wonderful hostess and makes you feel at home. The rooms are nice and there are many places both inside and out to sit and enjoy a good book or the scenery. We love to hike on the property. The breakfasts are awesome. Janice has a great story about how this place came to be. My personal favorite are her gorgeous cats that are happy to accompany you on your walks about the property.

After reading all the 5 star reviews. And experiencing the place itself. I agree that it was a beautiful relaxing stay. My only complaint is the cleanliness. Dust and cobwebs in our bathroom. The great room and upstairs living area. Not a fan of all the taxidermy. Collects a great amount of dust and cobwebs.

Absolutely in love with this off the beaten path sanctuary. Just happened to look on Yelp for places to stay while we were on a winery road trip. Saw a few snaps and made a last minute call! We totally lucked out and felt like we won the Lottery when we walked in. The proprietor met us on the little road heading down (while she was feeding the chickens, with a longhorn standing ominously behind her). Then - a huge fireplace with burning logs to welcome us in. We arrived late afternoon and just took a brief walk around the grounds on a few of the many trails. The Prayer chapel has a custom made cross with a stained glass dragonfly. The serenity of the scenic landscape is really something. This would be a perfect getaway for a group or spiritual retreat. Truly an amazing feeling - like you’ve just come home! Can’t wait to return when the seasons change.

Amazing place, such beauty in nature. The most beautiful part of Cedars is Janice the owner & operator. She's a living angel. Most beautiful soul I've ever met & feel so fortunate to know her. The rooms are well kept, homey & comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Can't wait to go back & bring family.

The place was a beautiful log "cabin," but the most incredible thing about Cedars on the Brazos is the proprietor. She is an amazing lady. Her story is remarkable and worth the time to hear. This is the perfect place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Quiet solitude - interesting hiking trails - amazing scenery - unique tour guides. You will come away refreshed and renewed.

Lovely place to stay. Plenty of outdoors space to enjoy and explore. Rooms have a rustic feel and very spacious. Janice, the hostess, is a very pleasant and hospitable person. Her breakfasts are large and very delicious! You won't be disappointed.

If you're looking for a place to go to get reconnected, and recentered, this would be the place! Views, river access, this place has a spiritual connection you can only explain as anointed. Janice is an AWESOME host! You would not know how old she would be if she didn't tell you.
