This place is a bit out of the way but definitely worth coming to. The atmosphrre and views are great. The owners are very dedicated to providing a great experience and came by our table to make sure everything was correct. One thing we ordered was not correct (it was incorrectly rung up) and it was fixed with a replacement without even having to ask. Owner also brought out some bits for our dogs to eat, you can see that in the pictures attached.

I recently visited The Flowering Tree cafe in Hollywood Hills and was extremely impressed by the service and atmosphere. The owner, Joe, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The cafe is small and cozy, with a great selection of drinks, including wine. Prices were reasonable and the quality was excellent. It's located across from Yamashiro. I highly recommend this spot, especially for those looking to support small businesses. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and give The Flowering Tree a try!

Living as we do here in this community of the Hollywood hills we have a village like feeling but with no place to sit and commune..until now! This is a small pagoda at the entrance to Yamashiro’s that has been transformed by Joe Kim into exactly what we have been missing here..a really beautiful and satisfying bistro. The espresso was perfect, rich and smooth delivered from top equipment.. He made us a waffle that had just a touch of lemon that is worth the stop. He has a full lunch menu. I had an aioli cheese sandwich on a fresh croissant. Of course your view looking back at the hills is why we all live up here and why you should put this location on your itinerary! When you done you can walk counterclockwise around to the Yamashiro views from mountains to ocean in a meditative garden. Joe Kim has given us the one thing we were missing here! Make his delightful patio a destination!

Wonderful spot ran by the kindest Asian woman. The food has Asian influences and is completely delicious. Both me and my date enjoyed this place immensely. If I'm ever in L.A again I will have to visit here.

Was an excellent experience stumbling at this place Flowering Tree here atop the Hollywood hills. Min was a master chef giving a sample of some awesome pork he had just pulled off the smoker, it was definitely succulent! He guided me to the roast beef panini that didn’t disappoint, best hospitality and service I’ve had at a café in a while. The iced coffee was just right to push the food back 👌🏾 I Would definitely swing by once I come around this part of LA. If it wasn’t so early I would’ve tried. One of their wine selections. Until next time cheers from NY 🥂

Incredible location to try next time in Hollywood - I went the morning after a concert at The Hollywood Bowl. Winding up a small street to the top of the hill, it’s worth it! This beauty is on the same property as Yamashiro and you can see the Hollywood sign and so much more. Staff was incredibly lovely as was the coffee and breakfast sammy. Outside seating was perfect on this cloudy morning. And there are a couple of tables inside as well. Highly recommend.

Absolutely one of the best places to grab a drink and some food. Very satisfied with my Oreo Milkshake and my family were impressed with their drinks. Very comfortable space and the worker is super nice and really works hard to make the best drinks and food. He even gave us free waffles!

Great breakfast spot next to Yamashiro. All the food we ordered was fantastic. Korean street fighter, ham & cheese bagel, and waffle ordered in our group. Very polite staff. I believe it’s a one man show, possibly the owner. Not super fast, but nice patio to chill on.

Stopped by while walking around the neighborhood and got to enjoy lovely boba milk teas (with oat!). Beautiful views of the hills while we sat and chatted with the owners on the patio with our dogs. Will definitely be back

Super cute little spot up in the hills of Hollywood. The owner was extremely nice and tentative to us. We ordered a vanilla latte and an Americano. Both came out hot and delicious. Definitely will be back to try some food. Beautiful outdoor patio seating as well.

Beautiful small cafe with a lovely Hollywood style outdoor seating area, fairly reasonable prices and a very relaxing atmosphere! Staff is Korean and very kind, menu reflects those Korean inspired touches such as the delicious savory mayo included on the breakfast sandwich I had. I came on a Wednesday morning at 10am and I was the only one there! Their breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious and a perfect small bite to carry me through til lunch. Highly recommend this lovely little spot!

I love this spot. Glad I came here. The food is amazing. The lady who served us was super nice. I also really appreciate that it’s removed from the hussle and bustle of Hollywood. Don’t have to worry about eating outside on the patio and being disturbed, you know😒 Overall 9/10. The street to get here is crazy narrow so be careful.

I was visiting from out of town and I stopped in twice on the weekend. Instantly fell in love with this place because of the people running it. Lovely family, father, mother and son. I was struck by their kindness and attention to all the guests. Service can take a while when busy but it’s well worth the wait. Everything is delicious - breakfast sandwiches, coffee and I highly recommend the smoothies - mango and peach were delicious. They also have a great wine selection. Do yourself a favor and get up to this little cafe and enjoy some sunshine and good music on the patio with these wonderful people. Cheers

Went to try the place out for the first time because I'd rather support a local business instead of a chain. Service was fine but paid $7 for a latte and was disappointed by the lack of espresso flavor...it just tasted like milk. Sadly, I guess I'll choose the chain next time I'm in that neighborhood. Otherwise, the place is in a great location with an amazing view of the city and looks to have a good food menu.
