Dr. Mariko Horie is a kind gentle soul on top of being an acupuncturist and herbalist. Two acupuncture sessions with her and I feel more relaxed and at ease to the core. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and there is no rush during each session. Highly recommended her for a quiet healing environment.

Came in after bad knee injury and high level pain for one month. One session of acupuncture took away all my pain. Also got herbs. This doctor is amazing. So skilled and intuitive. I highly recommend. Will continue going to continue healing for my knee and whole health.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr Mariko Horie, who is both an acupuncturist and herbalist. I have been suffering from insomnia and anxiety for many years and have tried traditional medicine and medication in the past. Unfortunately I have never found a medication that has agreed with my body or that had offered relief. After a few sessions with Mariko, I have found improvement in both my sleep patterns and anxiety levels. Santa Barbara Herb Clinic is lovely, calming and peaceful. I now look forward to both my acupuncture treatments and the relief it is bringing to my body.

I had been interested in trying acupuncture for some time, but always had fear in the back of my mind of trying it. The not knowing if it hurt or if it worked kept me at bay. I finally got to looking and decided on Dr. Mariko. She has such a calming energy to her. I absolutely recommend her as an acupuncturist and herbalist. I’ve suffered with IBS, hormonal imbalance and a shoulder sport injury for 15 plus years. My first session my shoulder pain went away. I could not believe it! It was incredible and I kept thinking why didn’t I try this sooner. I also am taking some herbs and I’ve been feeling better and better as the weeks go by. I am so happy that I found this practice and I rave about it to my whole family and friends. Dr. Mariko and Rosa are amazing, they make you feel so welcomed and they are so understanding and kind. Mariko is an amazing acupuncturist. She is extremely thorough and always makes sure she has an understanding of exactly what my issues are. She has prescribed me herbs as well which have proven to be very effective along with acupuncture. I would recommend her to everyone!

I was very pleased to find an Herbalist in Santa Barbara to help me with relaxation and getting out of the fog I was in. Mariko formulated some tea and it was what I needed. I also see her for acupuncture which has been helpful for a variety of my complaints including pain in my hands. She is gentle and a great listener. My husband also booked appointments with her.

I have been seeing Mariko and the team since November 2021, and they have helped me tremendously! Immediately my stress was gone after just one session. I also believe that the acupuncturist work helped me get pregnant super quickly. I also saw her weekly during my first trimester and she targeted morning sickness. I am a returning patient of the late Dr. Han to Santa Barbara Herb Clinic. I had not been since he passed, but I am very glad I returned after all these years to the new location and Dr. Horie. I received acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs. She is a very knowledgeable and gentle acupuncturist and herbalist as well. Her formulas are very similar to what Dr. Han had prescribed me previously and after two visits I already feel improvement in my various symptoms and pain. Thank you, Dr. Horie!
