Love their dimsum menu! The chili wontons are highly recommended along with the chicken wings and Shu Mai. Their sweet coconut sago drink is also popular.

Stopped by for a late snack, set up for take out and quick snack with high tops and stools, better order ahead to save the wait. Roast pork buns and steamed shrimp dumplings were moderately above average, fried chicken dumplings/ potstickers were average and curry pastries were worst I ever had and a let down. Nice and friendly service, clean looking and resonantly priced. Worth circling back to explore some more. Parking at rear was useful.

I’ve driven by this place a million times and finally stopped to try it tonight. Easy to order in-person. They have iPads where you order/pay. I took it to go, and it was made and ready pretty quickly. Everything was just as good as I had hoped/read in the reviews. The pork bao and bun were delicious. I’ve always wanted to try egg custard bao and now it’s something I’ll be craving in the future!

Great and I expensive meal! Plenty of food for 3 people and under $50. We are in and while that doesn’t seem like the common experience, it was fantastic. Everything we had was good, cucumbers, wontons, soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings. The owner even gave us wonderful desserts at the end which was so sweet. I will definitely return.

Randomly found this place today. Super clean inside with fast service. You order on ipads which I always like. Prices are insanely good. We ordered takeout and ate once we got home. Wow though, such great food for a great price. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

The cha siu bao (I ordered the baked one but they gave me the steamed one but it was good though😒) it was a little sweet…there wasn’t that much filling in it…but the flavor was a treat! egg custard tart for me…was not bad I wouldn’t try it from here again though 0/5 Spicy street noodle! Mix mix and dig in! Chili oil is on the bottom the noodles were bouncy and so good! Good fresh crunch from the cucumber all around my favorite. The scallion pancake..chewy in the middle, some burnt ends it wasn’t my favorite. There’s much more to try from the menu so I’ll be coming back😉 betcha!

Great casual spot for dim sum. Not as much variety as its counterparts in Flushing, NYC but it fulfills my dim sum cravings. The chili shrimp wonton stood out with a harmonious blend of succulent shrimp enveloped in a flavorful and slightly spicy chili-covered wrap.

What a great little place. It’s not full service dim sum but some essentials are here, and you don’t have to eat as a breakfast item. Somehow doesn’t like sim sum? The rice balls were a delightful surprise. Sooooooo what’s ixlb stand for you think? I kind of want dim sum right now.

1st time eating Dumplings at IXLB Dimsum eats! Omg right off the 101 freeway next to KTLA 5 studios. Parking might be tough as this place gets packed quickly. But it's worth the wait. You can walk up and place your order on their apps. They'll call your name, you pay and wait to receive your order. Will definitely come back when in the area.

Stopped in one night on the way home and was pleasantly surprised by the portion and the taste of the dim sum dishes. As everyone knows, good quality Chinese food is hard to find outside of the SGV in LA but ixlb serves up good quality dim sum with the radish cake as a particular highlight. Will definitely be back. The lot behind the building offers free one hour parking so no need to try to find parking!

Great place to grab some quick dim sum! My favorites were the fried shrimp balls and the steamed dumplings in spicy oil. Highly recommend this place!

I've fallen head over heels for this place! Their chili sauce is hotter than a summer day in LA, and their dim sum menu? It's basically a symphony of flavors that'll make your taste buds dance with joy. Service? Top-notch! Seriously, don't bother going anywhere else – this is the dim sum destination you've been dreaming of. I used to be their unofficial ambassador, handing out their business cards to everyone I knew (and even some I didn't!). Whenever friends or newcomers asked for the best dim sum in town, I'd point them right here. And here's the best part – the owners are like the dim sum wizards, always conjuring up deliciousness and flashing welcoming smiles. It's more than just a takeout order; it's an experience. Now, about my sneaky family – they've got a little secret. They love this place so much that sometimes they make covert dim sum missions without me! Can you believe it? They'll be like, "Where's your dad?" Apparently, he's become a regular here, maybe even more regular than I am. 😄 All in all, this place is simply too good not to share! I would subscribe if I could...

The best egg custard I have ever had ever. Everything was absolutely delectable. The flavors were well balanced, the textures exactly what anyone who enjoys dumplings craves. Customer service was on point. Despite being busy, they made it a point to be happy for the business, and the food was out and ready in a quick and efficient fashion. The restaurant is clean and the smell of the food and coffee is mouth watering.

Everything was Great! The Service was superb, as was the Dim sum. This is also a very clean establishment with employees who great you at the door. For your convenience, you can order from the 3 large screens as you enter the restaurant. It's small, well-lit and right off of Sunset and Bronson in Hollywood. The Siu Mai is Huge and very delicious. Thank you ixlb! You're my new local go to spot in Hollywood!

Great place for Dim Sum !! Parking is behind the shop. Service is quick and no nonsense efficient. Most take out are suitable for a quick 30 seconds microwave reheat and taste as good as new! Do not over reheat which will roughen the fine texture.

There’s no place in Los Angeles that compares to this place in terms of dumplings. It’s literally their specialty. I even got a chance to speak to the owner’s father, and he told me that he has perfected his craft of making dumplings for 46 years. That’s very inspiring. When you know in your heart that you’re great at something, you can’t allow anything or anyone to get in the way of that, no matter how small it may seem to someone else. You never know how far your greatness will take you until you become passionate with being persistent, and you can taste the level of passion in every bite at this restaurant. Highly addictive and I highly recommend 🤤🥟 😋

My new favorite dim sum spot in LA. Great prices, everything came out at once and was very fresh. Looking forward to going back again soon

It's cool that you can order at a kiosk inside. The service was quick and I really liked the drink they have. It was refreshing and delicious as well as not too sweet. All the foods came out fresh and hot. The Siu Mai was definitely my favorite: steamy and juicy. Everything else was yummy, too. It's a bit pricy for me but that's just the cost of the area.

Upon entering ixlb I was greeted with a welcoming ‘hello’ by the entire staff. Even the cooks in the back joined in on greeting me. I quickly noticed the place to be very clean. One cashier introduced me to the right side wall where there are screens you can visually see menu items. Just pick from a picture list, confirm order, add your name and your order is sent to the cashier (you can also order directly, but with no pictures). After ordering I waited no more than 5 minutes for my order (smiling pork bun and pork fried rice). All menu items are less than 6.00 and some could be filling by themselves. My favorite menu item is the Smiling Pork Bun - it is sweet, savory, with a little spice. The bun is so soft and adds an amazing texture to the flavor-packed pork. When finished I gave a wave to the staff and everyone sent me off with a ‘thank you’. 5 stars for flavor, price, cleanliness, staff.

I was lucky enough to try this place during my trip to LA and weeks later I’m STILL thinking about the food I got. The BBQ pork buns were delicious, and the egg custard buns and cucumber salad were also phenomenal. When you walk in the place is sparkling clean and you can easily order using their electronic menu system on the wall. I absolutely recommend this place and cannot wait to try different items next time I’m in town!

Staff were very friendly when I came to pick up my order. For the price, the food was good. Very reasonably priced. Portion size was good too, not those tiny sizes. Definitely worth a try. Only thing was parking, quite difficult to find street parking. There is a small valet lot behind though.

We got Uber eats to our nearby hotel and it was delicious!!! I'm a dim sum person. Recommend French char sui bao, sui mai, har gaw, dan tat (egg tarts), green veggies (yu choi?)...came with packets of Chiu Chow Chili Oil! Scallion pancakes and the wontons were okay. Perfect in room dining.

So many things wrong with this place- where are all these good reviews coming from? first of, the food came out cold. The only edible item were the veggie dumplings. The scallion pancake was swimming in oil. The food made us really sick, probably because of the chicken - it was RAW (look at that pink color). Tried to tell the owner but she quite rudely told us that’s how it was meant to be. If I were you, I’d stay away from this place

very cute modern cafe. authentic asian snack foods. got a variety of things, the taste was simple but great. loved the buns the most!

The best dumplings I've tried outside of China, really something special. Service is great, fast, we didn't have trouble finding parking nearby. It was so good that we returned the next day. Don't miss the egg custards either! Only downside were the scallion pancakes that had no scallions at all, they were bland, but still perfectly caramelised. I can't remove a star due to that though because the rest really was excellent.

Wow! A must go to if you’re looking for fabulous quality dim sum and a quick turn around time. Worth the trip if you’re a local or a tourist.

  • 3/5 Viraj P. 1 year ago on Google
Even if you eat indoors they serve the dim sum in to go containers instead of the authentic bamboo so the food doesn't come out hot, deducting 1 star. Had the xia long bao (soup dumplings) and the fried wontons in chili oil (next time I would get the steamed instead). Also they give you just a few skimpy chili oil packets which is not enough.

Fresh, quick, delicious! Wish I lived closer so I could order from here weekly. The owner and cooks were very kind and you could tell a lot of regulars frequent this place. An extra bonus is the restroom was super clean, a good sign lol! My family of 4 were very satisfied with $50 worth of food. Will def come again if I’m in the area.

I came here bc my friends were hyping this place up as the dim sum place to go in the west LA area. The food was good and tasted pretty authentic to what I’m used to but I would still make the trek to the east LA area for the dim sum cart ladies and the dining experience. This place is more like a take out place. They have high chairs to sit on but there’s about 10 seats total. It’s also a limited menu. My favorites were the siu mai and the shrimp wontons.

Having dimsum in Westwood is the best thing to happen since I came to UCLA for graduate school. I've been to Hong Kong several times and this food touched my heart. Compared to dimsum in Monterey Park, I was surprised that I actually liked this location way better. The soup dumplings didn't leak when you picked them up and were steaming hot. The flavor of the shu mai, har gow, was on point. I've never had the garlic shrimp and chili oil dumplings before but they were actually my favorite. The radish cakes were fried and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and were heavenly. The egg tarts were light, flaky, and delicious. Prices were really reasonable for Westwood. Tony was very passionate about the food and it showed.
