I see why this place is so highly rated. Not only is the atmosphere very warm and welcoming, but the staff is very knowledgeable and the kitchen workers know what they're doing! One of the most delicious vegan bowls I've ever had and the plain sweetened coffee was outstanding. Truly exceeded my expectations. This is a must visit café for anyone in Long Beach.

The BEST breakfast. All the ingredients are so fresh and delicious. They get all their ingredients from local farmers. Egg grain bowl left me satisfied and feeling healthy. The baked lemon ricotta cake was also to die for.

We loved WEOP and wish we could've come back before our trip ended. My sister loved the lavendar latte, and we both still drool over the egg biscuit sandwich. You must also get the chocolate chip, espresso, sea salt cookie, it was delish!

Went to WEOP after brunch today and was great! Got a dark chocolate oat milk latte and my friend got the matcha latte and a fig pastry. The pastry was flaky and delicious, and both drinks were delicious. Staff was super friendly! Sat outside and was able to enjoy Sunday morning.

I love this place so much. It's adorable with a unique selection of rotating wines and grab and go foods. The patio is perfect for brunch or to do some work. The service and vibes are incredible, everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. The chef makes so many great pastries and balanced dishes, with local finds. My personal favorite being the egg biscuit with a side salad. I always get a cold brew with the house made nut milk, which I find to have the perfect balance of nuttiness. I couldn't choose a favorite pastry but the lime bar is close to the top... or maybe the coffee cheesecake. You won't be disappointed!

This place is lovely and delicious! Best breakfast in Long Beach offering healthy options and super fresh ingredients! I was impressed by their customer service, the quality of their food, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything we ordered tasted like a home cooked meal. Im not a fan of salad dressings and will typically opt out for fresh lemons, but their home made dressings was so delicious! Im glad I listened to their suggestion to try it after expressing my dislike for dressings. Shout out to Angie for giving us an awesome consumer experience and for sharing a bit about their mission. You and your team are knocking it out of the park! For anyone looking for a delicious bite, look no further!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wide Eyes Open Palms, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The Frittata of the day was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavors and perfectly cooked. The bread was fresh and paired beautifully with the nectarine jam, creating a delightful blend of sweet and savory. What truly stood out to me was the rosemary latte - a unique twist that I couldn't resist trying. It was a wonderful balance of flavors, not overly sweet, and the hint of rosemary added a refreshing touch. And of course, the espresso was top-notch, a testament to the attention to detail and quality at this establishment. Even the side salad was a pleasant surprise, proving that every element of the meal was carefully crafted. Wide Eyes Open Palms is undoubtedly a gem for those seeking a culinary adventure with a creative twist. I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience.

Happy staff. The frittata is very good and the matcha honey drink. One of the best places around the area. It comes with a price. Highly recommended. I will come back.

The owner described how they source everything firm the farmers market. No Sysco deliveries and you can taste the difference. The frittata, the chia pudding, even the toast, were all so perfectly prepared and alive with flavor. Everyone working seemed to be invested and engaged. This restaurant is truly a gem for this neighborhood. Even if you’re simply looking for the best in craft coffee. I wish Wide Eyes Open was in my neighborhood every day, but alas I am eternally nomadic.

We always look for local, small places for breakfast when we travel. Loved this place! The food was on point. We got the frittata and the biscuit sandwich. Super excited for a good cortada, and they delivered 🙌. Service was excellent, very friendly. Sat on the patio with our dog and were comfortable. Love their story, building from a farmer's market beginning, and LOVE their welcoming vibe 🏳️‍🌈

I can’t believe I have never given this place a rating before. Literally one of the best spots ever. I’ve gone here since the day they opened and my family loves this place. We always get the Rosemary latte with the house made oat milk. If you are wasting your time reading reviews to see if this place is good, stop. Go there now and see how great this place is. One of our favorite spots in Long Beach.

(Grade A+) A constant A+, the chef is a magician, that's all I should say. Service and kind hosts just make you want to order more. Wow, food here is so good, got a lot more than I could eat because I was curious. The cocotte was so good, I had to go back the next morning and took 2 people with us. Excellent coffee, the strawberry bread pudding (yumm) and apricot scone, amazing! The Ricotta and Peach on awesome Toast, good thing is available every day. The second day there was a Biscuit and eggs special, I wish was available every day. There's a bit of a wait, but sooo worth it. You have to try it. I'm going there every time I'm in Long Beach. Update: I don't really like breakfast how many times can you disguise eggs bacon and potato? WEOP is different, it's almost like I'm eating lunch. Got a little too much as usual, everything is so good can't decide. The only bad thing was that there was no bread pudding :-( again. Got the Fritatta, it was another great thing we got to try (I'll post the picture). Thanks Angie and Kat for the great food. Update 9/2021: Haven't been there since the darn pandemic. Decided were going to try to go this weekend--well it's a drive from Pasadena to Long Beach just for breakfast, but I'm sure it's going to be worth it. I'm fasting today so I can enjoy tomorrow :-)

Favourite place in all of Long Beach for breakfast/brunch. Their weekend only galette is incredible. You can’t go wrong with anything you order really. Delicious (and pretty!) cappuccinos too!

Great experience. Had the Rosemary latte with the house-made almond-cashew milk. Also tried the lemon ricotta pie. Would come back again to try their other latte flavors and pastries. Wish I took more pictures!

UPDATE - still the best :) The gluten free financiers are so delish! ~~~ WOW Wide Eyes is something really special. The coffee is obviously very high quality and they have some house specials that will knock your socks off. Personally, I think it's the best coffee in the LA/OC area, which is saying a lot considering that LB in particular has several great spots. The food is the best, they do it up royal and in their own distinctive style whatever it is. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. House made no sugar added nut milk. It's a little pricey but in this case it is more than justified!

It’s not exaggerating to say this is the best brunch I’ve ever had. Exceptional quality to the locally sourced ingredients. The frittata blew me away.

Go-to spot. Absolutely amazing brunch place with great food and service. Their coffee is light and original, like nothing I’ve had before. I don’t usually do gluten free products, but theirs taste great! I definitely recommend.

We found this online and were impressed by the ratings. A bit less impressive was the food and richness in taste to be honest. Savoury Vegan options were salads from the fridge which I found a bit disappointing for such a small cute cafe. The staff was really helpful, fast and friendly. Overall a bit overrated I have to admit.

Stopped in here as we were waiting for our tow truck….the employee at the front counter was incredibly sweet and warm and welcomed us. I had the savory galleta with salad and an egg and my friend had the GF toast with eggs and a salad. Best GF bread I’ve ever tried. You can definitely tell that the food and coffee is fresh. Unfortunately we got rained out of the patio seating but it’s a cute spot. Highly recommend

Good coffee , but this is not your daily coffee stop . Have not tried any food so can’t comment It seems most shops are turning to this type of get down. Fancy look, - 6-8 $ for some espresso , what is going on. I was trying to order a double shot with an add shot Then wants to look at me funny when I say I want milk or half n half in there. I’m paying 6.50-7 $ for just espresso I can’t get a splash of milk ? Then proceeded to tell me it would be easier for them if I just spent more money and got the (latte) on their menu.

Prices are very high even by coffee house standards. $6.25 before tip for a 12 oz latte? And it tasted like they went weird with the ingredients just to draw a foodie crowd.

You can taste the quality in WEOP’s food and drinks. Their service is above and beyond and you end up feeling like you’re friends with them even if you weren’t when you walked in! Today I had a cold brew and the it was delicious - light and fruity just like I like it. They even topped off my ice before I took the rest to go since it was a hot day.

Cute little coffee shop, has everything and more! Pastries, wine, espresso, food, stickers, beer, etc. Amazing coffee and amazing service. Would recommend to anyone looking for a one stop coffee shop!

Had breakfast here this morning. The seating inside is super limited, but the staff is super friendly and the food yummy. They have a few specials and some incredibly delicious and inventive drinks. I had a rosemary latte. So good. There is a patio too for extra sitting. I'll definitely be back!

My go to brunch spot! The ingredients are so fresh and you can tell they put a lot of thought behind each dish. It’s best to get there early, because they tend to sell out of things quickly. My favorite item is the ricotta & jam toast. The jam selection varies by season. They’re lavender latte is also spot on. Even with a short staff during my last visit, the service did not disappoint. Everyone is so friendly.

I usually avoid gluten free desserts, but the gluten free cakes here are so good you would never miss the gluten. They're moist and have delicate, sophisticated flavors, and I feel like I'm eating something special each time. I appreciate that they serve it on real plates. I only take off one star because I don't like the drip coffee. It tastes burnt and doesn't wake me up. I prefer Portfolio's coffee.
