Classic old school Italian ristorante featuring a wide menu selection. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was delish. Serving sizes were plentiful especially the salads. Highly recommend Marechiaros 2nd Street.

Celebrated my brother's birthday here with the whole family, the pizza was amazing very delicious. Caesar salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread were also good, I definitely recommend this restaurant. The entire staff were extremely kind and we'll be coming back, loved it.

Oh Yum! Family style Italian. We have gone here several times with large groups, they are always very accommodating. The family style is nice. The food is amazing, pizza, ravioli, bread and salad. Everything taste fresh and homemade. Prices are great! They keep it really cool inside too!

We lived in El Cajon from 1997-2000 - how did we never learn of this family generations owned restaurant??? It was even near the freeway exit we used except it is on the other side of the freeway! The calamari is exceptional and enough for 4 as an appetizer! The entrees we're so good that I took my leftovers and ate them on my plane ride back to the PNW. Marechiaro's is going to be my new favorite San Diego "Go To" great service, family friendly, delicious food! We'll be back!

Picky Italian food guy and I thought it was great. Linguine with clam sauce was very good. Not overpowered with garlic. Italian Sausage was good and the red sauce was very very good. Not overly sweet which is a pet peeve of mine. My little one loved the spumoni ice cream. The service was all smiles and seemed to love working there. My family enjoyed it!

Sivi, my wife and I drove almost 100 miles to visit my mother at her nursing home. Afterwards I Googled Italian restaurants nearby. Came here. Walked in, what a surprise! Class A atmosphere, awesome staff, delicious meal! Will we visit again? Oh Yeah! Forget about it! ✌❤😎

I took an El Cajon newcomer to lunch at this excellent eatery, where you're treated like a VIP! I got the cold ham sandwich and she got the warmed torpedo. We each got a house salad. The food is not only delicious but also priced very reasonably for such large portions! Trust me! They give too much food to eat at one sitting! The 'regulars' are even greeted by name! 😁 Even though it's on the small side, it has a large 'feel' to it due to the lovely, off-white, living room couch with bar stools just inside the entrance! I recommend this place whether dining alone or with a group! ✔️🔥

This restaurant is an East County staple. I have been going here since I was a kid, and their quality has never faltered. They are the perfect place for a large dinner party or a quiet, intimate date night. The restaurant is clean and the staff is always friendly and the food is authentic and delicious. They offer take out or dine in.

We've dined at Marechiaro's twice and both times, our dining experience was epic! Pros: service, food quality, cleanliness, menu variety, Cabernet wine (Maddalena), clean restrooms, private parking, Cons: still trying to come up with negatives but am drawing a blank. I'll comment on our last visit... The 7 of us came for dinner after Shadow Mountain Church's Saturday night church service and were served by "B". First of all, B was AMAZING!!! If you get a chance to be seated at any of her tables, you'll be well taken cared of, I promise! From what I can recall, we ordered their 2 antipasto salads, garlic cheese bread, 2 tortellini carbonaras, chicken Parmesan, two large pizzas, a tiramisu to-go, and 2 bottles of Maddalena Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Everything ordered was delicious, B stopped by often and regularly to check on us, our food was served fresh, hot, and delicious as ever! If you're anywhere around the greater El Cajon area, and want some outstanding Italian food without paying through-the-roof prices from places downtown or in Little Italy, look no further than Marechiaro's! I know I'm bragging a lot about B, but all the servers we encountered that night were as friendly as ever. We live in the South Bay area, but can't wait to dine here again.

Stopped by here for lunch today. Total hole in the wall place. We had Amanda as our server, she was very knowledgeable about what’s on the menu. They had a “build your own pasta” which was really cool. We will gladly return again. IMO, it’s the most delicious Italian food in East County.

The best Italian food I have ever tasted. My favorite was the white sauce versus the red, but that’s just personal opinion. The sausage and garlic bread was amazing. The staff went above and made sure our every need was met. The canole was a taste of heaven. Will be back to visit many more times. Thank You for taking such good care of us.

The pizza 🍕 was very tasty 😋. The server's greeted us as we walked. They seemed eager to assist us with our phone order. I felt very welcomed, loved the atmosphere ❤️ 💕. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE 👌 👏 👍

First of all, I called them 6 times and every single time I was put on hold and hung up on. Then I finally got through and I ordered their minestrone soup to go. That was NOT minestrone!! It was more like soggy vegetable soup. There was no kidney beans or little bits of pasta like a typical minestrone soup. Never again! I've eaten there maybe 4 times and was always dissapointed. But it's been years since I've eaten there and wanted to give them another shot. This is the last time!

Waitress seated us and we sat there for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Same with the people sitting around us. Never experienced such rude service before. We have been going there for years and never seen this waitress before. Waste of time and gas. Went to the marechiarios off highway 80 and had a great experience. Will be going to that one now instead.

I got tortellini alfredo, I felt like something double cheesy. I not entirely sure what I was expecting, maybe a dinner size portion of tortellini with sauce on top. What I did get was a bowl of alfredo soup with tortellini in it. The sauce was ok, super thin and soup like, and literally underneath what could have been any cream based soup was the tortellini. I picked up and drained each tortellini in the side of the bowl before eating them it was so much (thin) sauce. It is getting 3 stars not two because it was ok. I had a bite of my husbands lasagna and it seemed ok. I was a bit surprised at the no free soda refill policy, bet they were not going broke on people getting 2 cokes but it all adds up. We will probably go again but get pizza.

This place is in El Cajon ..... With what I consider one of the best pizzas in San Diego I order their small because it's different thin crust well done reminds me of being in New York very very good..... Cooks and weight staff are like family very nice 😁

The best it just is we went there again tonight for our anniversary. It was Pasqual special and cheese bread whole Lotta. Yum Yum going on and that was it. They know us quite well. Hi myself and been going there since I was 22 years old I am now 58. My father, since he was 20. Pure love.

Marechiaro's has been one of my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant since I was little, but the way they helped with our wedding was more than I could have ever hoped for!! They catered for 150 people with the most DELICIOUS food!! Shoutout to Anna for helping us figure out logistics. If you haven't gone, GO!!! Best Italian food in San Diego!!

Been coming here for years. Food is consistently good. Service was friendly and fun. Menu is a bit smaller than in the past but wasn't lacking in the traditional Italian fare. Pizzas are always great! Tried a new choice. Build your own pasta. It was nice. Angelhair, Salsa Rosa (pink sauce) with chicken was YUM. Plenty of sauce. Great flavor. House Chianti was good. Giant sodas but no refill. Honestly tho, a BIG soda that didn't need a refill. The Cesar salad dressing is amazing! Made fresh in house. I really like the Cesar salad with chicken added. Several staff checked on us. Making sure we had what we needed and if our dishes were good. Extra parking lot in the back.

I came here twice with a very good friend of mine and had wonderful experiences both times. The waitresses were very kind and attentive and the food was amazing ! I absolutely love this place!

My brother came into town from Chicago and the first place he wanted to eat at was Marechiaros. Our parents used to take us here when we were kids so it was fun to go down memory lane and the food is still delish!!!!

I used to regularly come here when I lived in San Diego, first time coming in a few years and the food is still great. No reason to change something that doesn't need to be fixed.
