*Honest opinion* Today my husband and I spent our first time at Glen Ivy. We arrived at about 10am on a Wednesday. The check-in was pretty quick and we got a map with a recommendation what we should do first to last. First we had breakfast, which was pretty damn good (ivy kitchen, I really recommend the coffee). Then we headed to the mineral bath. After that club mud and at 12:45 to the grotto. We had lunch at 2pm, relaxed and then had our booked massage at 4pm and got outta there at about 5:30pm. Now, it sounds pretty good. And honestly, we really enjoyed our time there and felt relaxed after. But our biggest problem was the price. Day-ticket, Grotto, Breakfast, Lunch, three cocktails (15$ each which had barely any alcohol in it) and the massage (with 30$ tip) came out to 740$ for one day. Tickets alone (including grotto and massage) were 510$. Now for us, that is pretty pricey. We saved up for this day in about three months. Would we go there again? No. Do we recommend? If you have the extra money and would like a relaxing spa day, sure go for it.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review after my recent visit to Glen Ivy Spa, a place that has fallen remarkably short of the luxury and relaxation it promises. Let's start with the food and drinks, the quality of which was nothing short of subpar. The supposed "refreshments" tasted more akin to supermarket ready-meals than the culinary delights one would expect at a high-end spa. The sangria, purportedly a specialty, was disappointingly derived from boxed wine, lacking the depth of flavor and sophistication one would expect from a place of Glen Ivy's reputation. However, the biggest disappointment came from the spa services themselves. I opted for a massage, hoping it would be the relaxing experience I so desperately craved. To say it was the worst massage I've ever had would be an understatement. My therapist's technique was lackluster at best, but more alarming was his heavy breathing throughout the session. It felt as though he might pass out at any moment - an unnerving thought that made it impossible for me to relax or enjoy the experience. The atmosphere that should have been serene and tranquil was instead imbued with discomfort and worry. This experience at Glen Ivy Spa was far removed from the pampering and luxury one might expect from a top-tier spa. Inadequate refreshments and a disconcerting massage experience have left me disappointed and frankly, quite perturbed. Given the breadth of alternative spa options available, I would advise potential patrons to consider other establishments for a more enjoyable and relaxing spa day.

Enjoyed family time at my favorite day spa! Definitely don't have this at home in Kansas. We relaxed in each spa, did the cold/hot combo, enjoyed the music from the class in the pool below, and put our feet in the big pool. Lunch was fabulous! We shared spicy shrimp tacos, salmon sandwich, and Buffalo cauliflower bread. The 3 items each had a kick, but were delicious. We concluded our day in the grotto with an apple and tea for dessert. My skin hasn't been this soft since the last time I visited. Thank you for all the memories!

Went all out on the passport (premium) package so had high expectations coming in (the package, plus four drinks, two appetizers, Grotto and tips cost about 1K for two people). Pros: We had our own carved out area on a terrace w/ loungers/table/umbrella an attendant all to ourselves who took our orders, brought food/beverage to us, brought the robes to us, etc. My daughter had a massage, and I had a facial. Both were great. The pools were also as expected, had fun doing the hot/cold plunge with other guests. The grotto was just okay (not worth paying extra in my opinion). Margaritas were good (I had a frozen drink--very weak). Cons: Two times I was asked ahead of arrival if we were celebrating something special. I told them yes, my daughter's birthday and graduation from grad school, AND mentioned we chose this experience specifically because she is deploying in a couple of weeks (active military). Not sure why they asked if they never acknowledge upon arrival--they did have a note with our names, saying welcome. But for the price, and especially because they ask, it would be nice if they gave a small gift-little chocolates or something. I also think for the price, the Grotto and/or discount on lunch or something related to the restaurant should be included. Also need to be careful not to come during peak times or you'll wait in a line to get in pools. We went on a Tuesday, and got in as much as possible right when they opened so no problem for us. Overall it was a very nice and relaxing experience, unique in the number of pools and services offered; but I would not pay the passport price again for what's included.

Well their place is definitely a five-star. But I haven't gone since early 2000's. And boy has their prices changed. Before you used to be able to go in with no appointment spend $35 and hang out and use all the free amenities. Now you have to book an appointment and it's $85 to get in for the free stuff. Which was all the outdoor Spas, Club mud, sauna, swimming pools oh, and the float pool. Also their prices went up on all the massages and the other services that they offer. I was thinking of going with my son's girlfriend and with her work schedule it's hard to make an appointment. So I was disappointed that they no longer do walk-ins. I used to love it when I just felt like going and I would throw my stuff in the car drive out there and enjoy the rest of my day floating around in the float pool enjoying the mud. My sister-in-law and I would usually do there two times a week. She had found out that Britney Spears had went there when we used to go 2002-2008, and she said oh no Britney Spears was there so they are going to raise the prices. And slowly they did this we were paying $25 to get in from that jump up to 35. And then when they introduce the 1860 cards we were only paying 150.00 for the year.

What can I say me and my girls really enjoyed our girl trip. We drove all the way up from San Diego and we stayed until 5. Everything was perfect from the drinks even to the mud. We really enjoyed going into the different hot tubs in the pool. We definitely will be doing this again. It was so relaxing. When you leave there your body feels like Silk and your mind feels at ease.

I have had the pleasure to experience this spa with my daughter Harmony, twice. So relaxing to sit in the mineral waters, then on to the mud! Sun bathing covered with red clay is so much fun. Make sure to make an appointment upon arrival for some time in the steam grotto. Wonderful health conscious menu in the patio restaurant. Plus so many other little extras available.

We booked a couples massage on a Sunday morning. I was looking forward to it but the overall experience was disappointing. My massage was one of the worst I got. The hot tubs were constantly crowded and dirty. They also smelled heavily of chlorine. We tried for a long time to get into the mineral spas, it was always terrbily crowded. When we finally got in, the water was murky and stuff was floating all around in it. I normally don't get put off by communal pools, but this one was a nasty soup of so many different people. The overall facilities are dated, and not very luxurious. The showers in the bathhouse were in disrepair with fixtures that weren't properly attached or working correctly. The one amenity we enjoyed was club mud. The water they is naturally dark and muddy, but it was fun playing with the clay. Something that really got to me was the terrible quality of the towels, they are very thin, rough, and worn. For a resort, this was extremely disappointing. On the weekend, this place is crowded. We went at the beginning of the off season and were put off by the crowds. Really not relaxing at all. Can't imagine it during the summer. Overall, we won't come back. This place is expensive (almost $100 just for entry) and its not luxurious at all. There aren't many great amenities, and everything just feels so cramped and dated. So many people loudly talking, and crowding up the small hot tubs, it really wasn't a great experience.

So many changes for those of us who have been supporting GI for decades. Staff professionalism has steadily declined. Prices points have dramatically increased. We are no longer treated like guests, we are reservation numbers with add on. Their is nothing personal anymore accept your credit card on file. It saddens me greatly and is the topic of conversation among long term people who have been attending for 20 - 40 years. Part of the appeal was price and service. Free birthday entry. Now lol they don't even wish you a happy birthday when you patronage their place on it. No personal touch. It was lost in the corporate take over. The grounds are still nice.

I arrived right when it opened and was immediately greeted by extremely nice staff members. I received a full body massage, which was average. I went to the grotto, which is something that everyone should experience once in their life ( after that, its only value is to go there with your loved ones). Club mud was fun and relaxing. The food is above average, but expensive. Same with the drinks. The pools are the best things in life!!! I could spend hours in them. Overall, if you have the money, it's a luxury that you must experience at least once in your life. It's best to go with spouse.

Booked " Paradise Falls" cabana for party of 5 with 5 services. Spend over about $1500 not including food. Feedback: -Need to streamline booking system. Very inconvenient to have each person of the party call in to book their services. -Quieter settings with no loud music. Glenn Ivy should look into silent disco. This did not seem like a spa but more of a Vegas pool club. -Food experience not great, stressful and loud. Total wait time to order on a Saturday afternoon about 35min not including waiting for the food. Take a note from Disneyland and look into online ordering. Overall, not impressed, not relaxing and over priced for the quality. Suggestion: Utilize modern day resources such as; online booking and online food ordering. This makes it very difficult for visitors to enjoy the "relaxing" experience when there's none created for them beside basic pools with chairs.

For me, the vibe on the website was very very different from what the actual experience was. We were hoping for a relaxing, tranquil time, soaking in some hot springs, getting a massage. The place is much bigger than expected, and it was PACKED. We were immediately worried when we saw the giant parking lot filled with cars. (And we went on a Monday!) Every body of hot water was jam-packed with people, and there was more of a party vibe than what I was hoping for. We walked in and there was Michael Jackson blasting, people are more there to get wasted (which is totally fine! Just not what I was in the mood for.) Super annoying house music was blasting near the "lounge pool." We ordered some juices from the Chill Zone, which we assumed would be fresh -- our mistake -- but we watched them pour single bottles into plastic cups... why not just give us the bottle then...? We stayed for a few hours (including our massage) after getting turned off by how jam packed all the hot tubs were. If that does sound like your vibe, I recommend renting their super soft robes and bringing a water bottle.

I really loved my first time having a spa day at Glen Ivy! Great massage from Denise, enjoyed the saunas, jacuzzi pools, mud, and grotto. Lunch was also very good - Cesar salad with salmon, and my sister had the strawberry fields salad. Both were so good. It did get pretty crowded in the later morning and afternoon, and honestly I just couldn't go back into any of the pools after seeing them so crowded with people, but I still enjoyed the saunas. I will go back again someday. It's pricey, but it was a nice experience. For two of us for entry, massages + tips, lunch, grotto, and bathrobe rentals, it cost almost $700. I had a gift card for half that amount so the total for the day was offset thankfully. Just be prepared to spend some $$$. The employees were awesome! Everyone we interacted with made our visit really nice.

Amazing relaxation spot. Perfect for couples, friend gatherings, small private events. Admission price keeps going up and up... not unaffordable yet to me but getting close to it :( Parking is free and available in multiple lots. Security checks bags and you can only bring your reusable bottle as empty, do not prefill it. Cafe restaurant has a good variety with large portions. Lots of different pools to enjoy. Thank you!

I had never been here before, so I splurged and went with the passport to wellness. The attendant was nice, but aside from the cursory tour, I felt kind of dumped into my cabana with a crude map of the facilities and no idea what to do or where to go. There were a ton of creepy, bearded old men everywhere leering at all the women in swimsuits, which was unnerving. ALL the spas were full with a wait time. Not very relaxing at all. My service was ok, but felt pressured to add services onto the already pricey massage. I ordered the charcuterie and I was amazed at how they were able to screw that up. Huge chunks of cheese and a half wheel of brie with no utensils offered. I did the best I could getting it onto the crackers. For the price of $20, I feel like I could have put that together for less than $7 and still made a profit. I ordered a glass of white zinfandel to go with it, and it came warm in a cheap plastic cup. I was SUPER disappointed. There were no staff available to help or explain how to use the services. I feel like I spent the whole day trying to figure out what everything was, where everything was, and being disappointed with the food. Overall, the experience sucked from the booking process to the time I walked back to my car...minus about $600 in my pocket. Not worth it IMHO.

Cousin took me and Aunt there and we had a blast! It was my 1st time going to an actual spa. I felt relaxed and refreshed. The place looked clean. I wish there was more shade in the shallow pool area. After trying out the mud, and I put some on my face its like I looked 10 years younger. We did almost everything except the grotto and the massage. The massage is more pricey than usual. The food was excellent! I can stay here all day. I would come back and try more. The vegan options are a plenty. It's not some sad salad!

Love coming here. I try to come at least once a year. Normally around Mother’s Day or my birthday. Always recommend. Food is also great here. Drink are awesome. I will say I wish they had more blue floating beds because at times we have a long wait to get one. Besides that everything is awesome.

Aromatherapy massage was very nice, table was heated and Shelley was wonderful! Glad to go on a weekday when it wasn't too busy. Very walkable. Club Mud was good. The mud dries pretty quick in the sun or the cave. Lots of showers and towels available. All the pools were nice, the Roman bath was one of the coolest to look at.

The most relaxing day! I love the mineral pools the most. It’s extremely clean and easily accessible. There is always an attendant near by if you need towels or have any questions. The grotto was truly relaxing and a new experience. If they had a hotel I’d be here for a few days. The massage here was nice, if you prefer a heavier hand, they only do light to medium pressure just FYI. A fun experience!

Reasonably priced for everything that it comes with. I got the day pass for $85, and didn't even have enough time in the day to visit all of the pools. If I lived closer I would definitely get the annual membership!! A great place to come with family, as a couple, or even alone for the day just relax. My skin is super soft after visiting the mud club :-)

First visit to Glen Ivy last weekend. I booked the "Passport to Wellness" package for my mother and I and it was wonderful. We got our welcome mimosas and escorted quickly to our poolside cabana. The property is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. We both had the illumination facial and loved it. Lunch was reasonably priced and delicious- large portions too. We will be back!

Went on a Saturday D.i.L.🎂 birthday. I actually enjoyed myself. Went to the pool👙 and relaxed and drank🍻. About 2 hours after went to Dinner the food🍕🍔 is Delicious then after, my Comadre and I were booked for the Grotto they literally paint 🧑‍🎨you with mud but, you go to the next room and you can't sit down your sliding. I laughed waited 10 minutes and went to wash it off it was a nice feeling.. Towards, the end it was time to leave I think they should have their employees clean every shower🚿 after each guest..I went into the handicap🩼 shower.. It was gross🤢 first thing that caught my eye was the shower floor hair, rubber bands, just disgusting then the shower wall with hair and eyelashes 👁️.. Honestly, I know it's not Glen Ivy's fault.. It's the customer. Just wear shower shoes like we did can't trust other people. But, besides that it's really relaxing. Make sure you make reservations ahead..It's pricey too..But, I would do it again 😞 next time I want a massage🧍..

Overall, it was a great experience at the facility, but we did splurge on a massage. The issue with this was my masseuse was not able to meet the demand of pressure that I wanted. I asked her if she could go a little harder and had the audacity to tell me that the type of massage that I picked up, did not allow her to go any harder… I have gotten massages around the world at this point, costing way less that were a lot better not worth spurge

Glen Ivy is amazing. I have been on 2 girls trips here this year, and i just cant get enough. I had a massage, which was amazing if you were wondering. We ate at the cafe, also great. And went to the grotto with a hair mask on, definitely worth a trip down there if you haven't gone yet. Is it a little expensive? Yes it is, but its worth it. This last time we paid 25 dollars to stay past closing and I probably wont do that again. All the warm pools get super busy and there was a lot of yelling and sloppy drunk people, but if your into that give ut a shot, I guess. Moral of the story: 9/10 would recommend.

My spouse and I did the Passport to Wellness Cabana experience for my birthday and it was so much fun! We both very much enjoyed our massages, the meal was excellent, and we enjoyed spending the day lounging around and sampling the various pools. It was a little slice of paradise. I would definitely go again.

I went for an evening session and added a trip to the grotto. Relaxing experience over all. Clean facilities and not crowded. I was able to go where I wanted, from hot cold plunge, to soaking in mineral water, saline spa, regular pools, mud area and saunas. Looking forward to going again!

Love this place. It's like Disneyland for adults. However the price has increased dramatically since covid. Haven't been back since. Hopefully they will have some discounted days. Staff is always friendly and love spending a girls spa day here.

Had a girl's day to celebrate a birthday. Attentive yet unobtrusive staff added to a wonderful atmosphere. A blazing hot day was lessened as we were surrounded by greenery everywhere and numerous water stations. Poolside service for drinks was great.

Wonderful experience. Grotto, Mud bath, mineral pools, and wading pools were awesome. Massage and spa service were amazing. Food selection was healthy and plentiful. Full bar, great drinks. Pressed juice bar. Great way to spend a Sunday. Worth the price.

Went with my husband and it was so relaxing.. it was definitely needed! Red clay baths, mineral baths, sauna rooms, the hot and cold dip pools, You’ll come across a smell but I promise it’s just the minerals in the water that you dip your body in… I love it here and can’t wait to come back ❤️

We had a wonderful day. I had the specialty massage with mid which was done by David Gerardo, and it was really great. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him. I felt really comfortable and relaxed the whole time even though he definitely hit some pressure points that needed some work! Thanks for a great experience!! The whole spa was great overall.

Don’t go to the glen ivy spa if you want a peaceful, relaxing experience. The mud and grotto are super cool and fun, but the whole environment is very loud, social, and party-centric. This is more of a European bath feel as opposed to a relaxing spa.
