Beautiful adobe and tour. This place is rich in history. Reservations for tours must be made online at the website. $5 per person. Parking is at the Palomaras Park next door. They also have a couple items for purchase inside. Highly recommended a visit if you are interested in knowing the history of the area or what it was like to have lived at a time much more primitive than today.

I Highly recommend it To visit this Historical house In Pomona The Ygnacio Palomares Adobe, also known as Adobe de Palomares, is a one-story adobe brick structure in Pomona, California, built between 1850 and 1855 as a residence for Don Ygnacio Palomares. It was abandoned in the 1880s and was left to the elements until it was acquired by the City of Pomona in the 1930s.

Could not find their hours on their website and they looked open so we pulled in to check it out. While pulling in we saw a sing that said they were closed so we went to make a u turn and was accosted by a crazed violent old man who kept screaming at us to leave and making threatening and obscene gestures. Did not feal safe and would not come again. It's a shame history should be made available to everyone.

Very interesting historical site. The new caretaker has already improved the site tremendously and can tell he cares for its preservation. The artifacts onsite are amazing.. would consider a wedding or private party in their pinic area. If in town on a Sunday be sure to visit.

Beautiful place for weddings. I was fortunate to help set up a wedding and it turned out beautifully. There were around 180 people with plenty of room for dancing, looking at nature, waiting around the garden, hang out at the tables and more.

My aunt took me and my two other sisters to see a tour of this adobe since she had to do it for a college assignment. She took us thinking this would be a fun experience to learn about the history there. But when we arrived we saw a sign that said it was closed, opposite as to what it said on their website. As we were trying to get out, an old white man with glasses exited his car and started yelling and cussing at us out of anger. At this point we were anxious because as my aunt tried to pull out of the driveway as quickly as possible, he then went outside of the gate just to stand behind our car and make it even more difficult for us to get out. I don’t know why this man thought that it was okay for him to approach four young women like this. We will never be coming back here again because of how unprofessional this all was.
