Heard about this from a friend and wanted to try this out. We showed up and was seated with no issues. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Not the best I’ve ever had but still worth a stop if you’re craving bbq.

This was my first time coming here and our group had a great experience. BBQ is one of the few things I'm very picky about and I was definitely impressed. We started off with burnt ends and they were very flavorful and tender. For the main meal, everyone got a combination of the 2 or 3 meat plate. All the items that came out, including the sides, were cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be coming back for more and highly recommend this place.

Our waitress was impeccable. Brunette with short hair, she was attentive and polite. The atmosphere was casual but clean. It was packed so there was about a 15-20 minute wait. We ordered a cornbread basket, cornbread was average, small, a bit dry, but the butter that came with it was nice. When it comes to BBQ If we are comparing it to its top contenders, I’d say it was okay. Not mind blowing, but okay. Good bbq doesn’t need sauce to be great but I feel like this one did. I got the combo plate with brisket, smoked chicken, Mac n cheese, and fries. Brisket looked juicy but was a bit dry as you continue to chew it. It was better drenched with bbq sauce. I don’t know if the chicken was soaked in a brine but it was salty, I love seasoning but it wasn’t the seasoning, the meat itself just tasted like a salt brine. However the skin was nice and crispy. Mac n cheese was okay, it could have been creamier with a sharper cheese but I’d say it was a passing grade. Season fries were great. Overall I’d give it a 3.5 but I added the extra .5 because the service is excellent.

Pretty tasty BBQ. Two of us shared a 3 item with pork shoulder, brisket and ribs. For the two sides we picked the green beans and the mac and cheese. Meat fell off the ribs, brisket was juicy and the pork was generous such that we took it home. Mac and cheese was made with real cheese and NOT Velveeta! We also shared a house salad. We took all the pork, 1 rib and half the M&C. We look forward to eating here again. Bring a buddy to share with and save some money.

Stopped in to try some new places and areas and found this BBQ place. It's a small shop, so it was filling up fast. It has a nice simple feel and the services was great. They have a lot of items to pick from: sandwiches, combo plates, salads, al la cart, etc. We tried the pick 2 and the pick 3 meat combo plates. We ordered the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, flat iron steak and some sides. The Flat Iron steak is $5 more option, but it was really tender and worth it. The ribs, I would probably pass on next time. Not bad, but I think the other meats are better. Sides, lots of sides to pick from. We got for our two sides each; Seasoned Fries, Cornbread, candied bacon and mashed potatoes. The mashed is a pass for me, not bad but just better options. The Candied Bacon is however a must get for you and you get 3 strips. Mac n cheese looked amazing and so did the green beans, so next time I'll pick those. As for drinks, only beer and wine, no hard liquor. Soda and water are your other options. Overall it was pretty good. You have lots of options to pick from and it's pretty good price for where it is located. I only wish they had mixed drinks, that would have made it amazing.

Ambiance, service, food was all awesome. Grilled cheese- excellent. Fried Chicken- excellent- and even managed to make corn on the cob something to remember. Tacos- excellent. Shepherds Pie- very rich, very decadent. Be prepared when you order this one! Bread pudding dessert- off the charts! We would totally recommend and will definitely be back!

They have the best Mac and cheese! The brisket is juicy and tender. My sister and I got the 1 meat plate with brisket and Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes plus one more brisket a la carte for $13. Worth it! We shared the sides. We came back for 2 nights in a row

This place is so good! The food was great, the waitress was attentive and it had a great vibe going. I highly recommend it. Bring your momma, baby momma, family you argue with at Thanksgiving and friends!

The burnt tips and ribs were our favorite! The ribs just fell off the bone, which is great because i dont like feeling like youre eating jerky. The rub and spices on all the meats were amazing! Finishing off with bread pudding was great as well. The sauces are also great, the mustard sauce has a little tang to it and the spicey sauce has great flavor, and not overwhelming spice! Only 4 stars because for the price, we would have liked bigger portions and the brisket could have been more tender. Otherwise good bbq!

I love this place! Their burnt ends are just so delicious I could make them my whole meal. My go to is the brisket. Since the pandemic they made some changes to their side and I just tried their chili Mac and omg it a new favorite side. They have a selection a great s bbq sauces.

Amazing BBQ, by far the best around locally. Had 3 meats - Ribs, Brisket, and jalapeño sausage with Mac and cheese and candied bacon as my 2 side. Every bite so worth it. Can't wait to be back and try more amazing BBQ. P.S. The Brisket chili is killer, if you have room order as well.

It’s good but not Great noting to special about it nice restaurant nice selection of beer the waitress was really nice and that’s why we stayed. Little expensive for barbecue joint but we had a good time and that’s all that matter.

I’m a vegetarian so this wasn’t my first choice of places to go, but it was a Father’s Day gift for my dad so I went along happily. I was really pleasantly surprised that I had a great time too! The sides were good sized too so I left completely full. The macaroni and cheese is soo good and so is the cornbread. All of the meat lovers at the table had a great time. We got them the feast for four people and it was huge! We had plenty of leftovers to take home. The service was wonderful and attentive too.

It was a slow night so your experience may differ. Service was good, food was very good and beer was also very good. Mixed drinks not so much so stick with the brews. Sampled, brisket, ribs, chicken, Mac and cheese, deviled eggs, fried pickle and chili. Though all were good the stand outs were the chili (not very hot, good flavor and lots of meat) and the ribs. Also a nod to the deviled eggs and burnt ends. Portions were a little better than many bbq places but not great. (Not uncommon, but the only really disappointment, especially with the deviled eggs and pickles.) Since we were a larger group and ordered a large sampling, it worked out. Will definitely be back for an amber and chili, maybe with a side deviled eggs. (Also, if you order the chili, pour a good portion of the habanero sauce. Good flavor and not really that hot.

Excellent food and experience! Some unique culinary experiences (avocado fries, omg!!) and righteous meat cooked to perfection. I had combo plate of pulled pork and brisket (no knife needed) while my friend had delicious tri-tip steak. THE MAC AND CHEESE IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED! Portions generous-- don't miss this place.

Very friendly waitress! The brisket was some of the best we've ever had. Smokey, tasty and very juicy. Highly recommend the onion straws! The street corn is a whole ear and very good. There restaurant has a really nice atmosphere inside!

Finally they've got their mojo back. We used to come all the time but they really took a turn for the worst for a while and we stopped coming, but we decided to try again after waiting some time to get things back on track and yes they finally are back and we're back!! Great to have the ribs back flavorful and fall off the bone, and rich flavorful candied bacon.

We are tourists and unfamiliar with the area. Staff was INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY, welcoming, kind, and educated. Food was amazing! Drinks were delicious. Best of all, it was affordable! The town was also fun to walk around and explore. Definitely a must visit!

Smoqued is one of the better restaurants in Orange County. The staff was friendly and welcoming and very professional. I had the BBQ tri tips which were really good and the fries were awesome. The wings were delightful as well. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because the drinks were a bland. I still, recommend that you check out Smoqued.

Smoqued BBQ is a casual restaurant in downtown Orange, California. I had lunch there on a Tuesday. The service was slow because there was only 1 waitress covering the entire dining room. However, she had a good smile and nicely offered beer samples. The restaurant was filled with nice smoke aroma. I ordered a combination plate with briskets and pork ribs. It came with 2 sides of devil eggs and mac n cheese. The brisket was on the dry side and its flavor was average. The ribs were tender but looked unattractive. The mac n cheese was average. Beer is always good with smoked meats. The Habanero Raz was good but dangerously hot. If I was stuck in this area, I would have some smoked meats and beer there.

Stumbled across this place by accident. We were craving bbq and decided to go for a drive. After stopping by 2 places that were closed (it’s the Friday after Thanksgiving) we just happened to find this place. Best part….. it was happy hour! We ordered 2 house beers, avocado fries and bbq fries. Everything was very tasty and SUPER hot! The avocado fries were excellent, especially with the chipotle ranch they serve it with. The bbq fries were to die for! And everything that we ordered was on the happy hour menu. $6 per item! We will definitely go back here. Orange circle has so many places to shop and eat at but this place is a gem!

I get the chicken every time. I can't help it. The candied bacon is a weakness too. Don't even get me started on their cornbread.

I can't rate the food because I wasn't given the opportunity to. We were in the area and looked on Google for a place to eat, it said it closed at 11:00pm and we got there at 9:29 p.m. We're good right? Nope. I have to hand it to the server, she was pretty bold. She told us that they already called Last Call. Okay fine, your hours are off.... life happens I guess. But here's the bold part, then right in front of us there was a table that hadn't ordered anything yet. She walks right up to them and ask them what would they like to order... TF... you just said the kitchen was closed.

Met an old friend for lunch. Haven't been to the circle of Orange in a very long time. Food was delicious. My buddy and I both had the pulled pork sandwich and split an appetizer of burnt ends. Delicious!!! It was a great lunch just prepare yourself to walk as parking there is crazy! Prices are reasonable as well.
