BEWARE this facility has a thief cutting locks in the locker rooms, stealing from purses and petty cash from locked offices. He has been seen by members and he is one of their employees. He has been reported, but management has done nothing about this. I had $200 stolen from my wallet after having my lock cut in the men's locker room. After reporting this and actually having seen the employee going through lockers I was told by management to not say anything about this to anyone. I was trying to warn members that there is a thief and it is one of the Alpert JCC employees. A police report has been filed.

This is a very nice center. Full gym, tons of programs for kids, adult exercise classes, clean grounds. Very friendly staff as well.

This place doesn’t understand the Americans with Disabilities Act. They declined to accommodate my disabling condition. So I’m going elsewhere rather than suing them.

This place is fantastic! The exercise equipment they use is called "Hoist" and it's aerodynamic so it moves with your body, making it so there's less strain on the body. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming and I love the fitness classes, the pool, hot tub, library, art work and historical reflections. I love it all. It felt like home away from home when I was on a 5 week business trip and staying nearby!

My husband, Ranzie, is mentally disabled. I originally wrote an RSVP for him to the ALPERT JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER for their "Open House." In it I specifically told them that, after he had attended, either he or I (depending on if he was able to use the computer) would notify them regarding his desire to either join OR NOT TO JOIN THEIR ORGANIZATION. Ranzie came home very depressed and said that he DID NOT WANT TO JOIN "THE ALPERT JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER." He found them to be unwelcoming and arrogant, especially with regard to his misunderstanding of their so-called "Art Activities." Both Ranzie and I have consistently communicated THE FACT THAT RANZIE DOES NOT WANT TO BE A MEMBER OR "THE ALPERT JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER." Regardless, they have continued to HARRASS US BOTH WITH CONSTANT REAL TIME MESSAGES, BY PHONE & EMAIL. DO NOT GET EVEN REMOTELY INVOLVED WITH THIS ORGANIZATION. They simply will not take "NO" for an answer. This is the last attempt we are making to have them "Cease and Desist" from harassing us anymore. ALL further communication will be automatically referred to our attorney. Sincerely, Ranzie Claxton & Catherine Parr

It was wonderful of the Albert Jewish Community Center to deliver dinner meals to our "Shelter in Home Seniors" in Leisure World , Seal Beach, Calif. A special shout out to Dr. Susan Mathieu and the young couple who delivered our meals on Wednesday May 13, 2020.

It's always so refreshing to know that community centers like this one still exist. Even though it is quite a popular local spot, it's very quiet and Serene. Great resources and an even greater place to take your kids out for free.
