Sean is very knowledgeable when you want to know about a reptile, arachnid or amphibian you want to purchase he will let you know what you need and how to take care of it, customer service is great I always come here to collect more pets or get information on what else to feed and take care of them. Great pet store.

I was recommended this place by a fellow tarantula keeper when I was on the hunt for a rare type of invertebrate to add to my small family.. this place had them in stock when i could not even find one online. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Very friendly. And they have the largest selection of invertebrates that I have seen in a store anywhere other than online. If you are looking for arachnids, feeders, snakes, reptiles, amphibians or fish then look no further. This is the place for you. I know I will be going back for sure.

This is one of the best reptile stores in the sandiego area! The owner goes above and beyond to help his customers and is very knowledgeable about the animals in his store. Store is clean and animals are well taken care of!!! I'll be buying all my ball pythons food from him as he has proven he has the best rats around! His efforts and knowledge saved our hatchling ball python from certain doom, and we will be forever grateful

Beast is the bomb. All the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have obscure and hard to find vivarium supplies and lots of invertebrates and reptiles AS WELL as feeders and fish! The owner I forget his name is an absolute encyclopedia for inverts and how they fit in to their part of the ecosystem.

I found their stand at the Reptilian Nation Expo. I went for a ball python, specifically a blue eyed leucistic. They pointed me towards another vendor as they were out of that morph, but I ended up coming back because they had a white demon still up for sale and it caught my eye. Ended up buying him for $450, and this guy is an awesome little snake. Even after the 2 hour drive back home he was inquisitive and showing no signs of stress. Also proving to be very calm around people. Thank you for the awesome and healthy new family member. <3

Don't look here for puppies kitties or supplies for them. Here you will find fish, turtles, reptiles, and supplies for these critters. Very small store with super nice and knowledgeable people. Shawn is a great guy who will not sell you something you don't need.

We came in to purchase a corn snake for my son (13yo). It’s his first pet reptile and I don’t have personal experience caring for a snake. Sean was incredibly helpful with guiding us to pick the right snake and making sure we we set up for success. He walked us through everything we needed and ensured we understood how to use it properly (heating mat, hide, etc. He provided contact info so that once we set up our enclosure we could send pics to get feedback and help, further ensuring the snake would be well cared for. We ended up with some questions about the temperature and received a timely response that was both helpful and reassuring. The pets in the store appeared alert, clean, and healthy. Looking around at the pets and their enclosures, I felt confident the animals are treated well and I was happy to support this business.

Honest, friendly, and educated staff! This small business has fish, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, feeders, and all the supplies you need for them. Everything is a reasonable price, top quality, and a variety of great supplies. The owner, Sean, is very knowledgeable in what he does and will answer any question you have. He has trusted and reliable breeders that produce healthy, high quality animals. All animals are healthy and happy with proper housing and food, not something you see often in other pet stores! I bought an adult male crested gecko from them in 2020 after seeing how other chain stores like Petco or Petsmart had overpriced poor quality supplies, while also having poor breeders for animals, neglecting the proper care, and not being educated on any animals, especially exotic animals they had in stock (frogs, geckos, lizards, turtles, etc). I never write reviews, but Beast Pets deserves it!

Beast Pets is the most phenomenal reptile shop! So many species are represented and there's always a friendly person to answer all of your questions. The quality of their critters is superior. Their prices are competitive and fair. Easy access off the 94 and 125 freeways and lots of parking.

The store has an incredible selection of creatures you won't find at any other store. Things like species of tarantulas that otherwise you'd only be able to buy online and have to pay expensive shipping for. The staff are very friendly, almost too friendly to the point where I feel often bombarded with questions about whether or not I need help. The man who I think is the owner, because he's always there, comes off as a bit arrogant. However, I give him a pass because he seems to really know his stuff, is very informative, and seems to genuinely care for the animals that he sells. The store also has supplies you won't find anywhere else. Despite the small size of the place, they somehow have everything you need to set up every single animal they sell there.

This place is awesome. The owner is very knowledgeable, he has a great way of letting you know what is best for what you have. Always makes sure that his animals find the right FOREVER homes. While making the happy the whole time. Great prices on everything as well.

Has lots of reptiles. Always super busy and doesn’t take the time to really give you the customer service you need to setup a reptile. Not everyone is an expert and some people need explaining on how to properly care for these animals. He is good shop to walk in and buy what you need and leave. Not good for much more then that.

This place is the place to go for bearded dragons and lots of reptiles. Staff is knowledgeable and very nice.

If I were able to put no stars I would. I’m not sure if the white man was the manager or the owner but he was extremely rude and passive aggressive. I took my niece here because she wanted to see the spiders. She was asking him about the snakes and he was being extremely rude to a 5 year old. Horrible customer service might I add. If you’re not comfortable interacting with people or being asked questions maybe you shouldn’t open up a business or work in it.

Beast Pets always has an amazing supply of Reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids! Their employees have a massive aray of knowledge when it comes to their passion! I go weekly to pick up grubs for my beardies, and ask as many questions as I need to. They are always there to answer any questions and offer support through their knowledge and supplies!
