Came in from put of town, looking for a spot for my 11 year old to skate. We didn't have anything but a stick. Sean was awesome, hooked up my boy up with skates, helmet, gloves and a jersey and got us set up for some stick and puck time. Awesome service, super friendly, went that extra step to take care of a kid who loves 🏒 hockey. Go Dallas Stars! Thanks Sean! 😊

We went to the Ice Center on Sunday for my daughter's birthday party. We all had a blast. The gals and man at the front desk were friendly and super helpful. The party room was set up when we arrived and the kids went and skated. The pizza that was ordered as part of the package arrived at exactly the time they said. We decided that we all had such a good time that we would buy some skates and start going as a family. Today, I went and tried my skates out, without the kids. There were are few sports that were hurting and the staff worked on them and made them much more comfortable. Thanks WIC for taking great care of us!

The Wichita Ice Center is a great place to host a kids (or anyone’s) birthday party. They have skate rentals here at a low price. Heads up—people can rush around the rink fairly quickly so be safe when skating out there. I would rank this place as one of the top things to do while visiting in Wichita on a low budget.

It's nice to have an ice center. Prices are reasonable. The lockers are old and don't really work great. The concessions are closed and the vending machines aren't always stocked. They don't want you to bring outside food or drinks in. The skates must be old or something because the kids complain of sore feet. Some pairs do look better than others. The hours for public skate are limited. You can rent a thing to help your kids skate for $5 and they will hold your driver's license. I think with a few updates and improvements it could be great again! Also maybe getting rid of the stands and putting in tables with comfortable seats would be nice. The viewing is better from that area than where the tables are currently located.

If I could give 0 stars I would, but that’s not an option… Im not even one to write a mean review. I swear! Y’all are closed every-time I wanna come in and skate! What a disappointment of an ice rink, if you can even call it an ice rink at this point considering that y’all never even have the ice open. What kind of ice rink can’t even keep the ice open without something messing up. Seems like the budget is getting a little low for y’all… 🤣🤣

EDITED: (from original negative review) With help from the management, I was able to finally connect with a coach. I enjoy skating at this rink, particularly in the morning figure skating sessions which allow me to skate before work. The staff is helpful, and the figure skaters I’ve met so far are welcoming.

This is a great place to take family and friends to go skating during public skate. The staff is great and are willing to help you out with all of your needs. The GM Sean O’Rielly is awesome he not only runs the rink but also coaches 6/8u hockey and his passion for the sport is passed on to the kids. Speaking of hockey the Jr Thunder program is a great opportunity for kids to learn self respect and discipline. So head to the rink and come skate with us.

They could use more banners on the walls. I recommend taking your own skates, theirs are poor. There are holes in the floors right outside the rink. The music was pretty mediocre. Wear headphones if you're skating alone.

Absolutely love this place and all the staff. The people who skate here regularly are awesome, too. They're never hesitant to show you some new moves or hook you up with some discount gear at the shop. Lessons are super fun... just can't say enough good things about this place!

They refuse to turn on the AC so it’s unbearably humid and hard to breathe. Also you can’t see the puck because of how foggy it is. Stop being cheap and turn on the AC to dry out the air!

Kickoff was supposed to be 7. I arrived at 6 to have time to pick up my tickets. They locked us outside till 710 when they slowly let people buy tickets or pick theirs up. Kickoff was 1 hour 30 minutes late at 830. Only one consession stand. My elderly mother comes with me and she did not like standing in line for so long with nowhere to sit.

The rink was very empty during our visit, and honestly, it felt as if they were closed because the lights weren't on in the main hall. Also, it's weird seeing Ice Sports (the original name) without an arcade, but I suppose it has been years since I used to frequent here. The staff was excellent, both prior to and after our session. The staff member made an impression afterwards by mentioning that she hosts classes for younger children who want to learn (and enjoy) skating. Had I lived in Wichita still, I definitely would've signed my children up. Kudos to her for her enthusiasm as a teacher/trainer.
