😠 So disappointing! We drove from Kansas City to catch the last day of riverfest. We paid $30 for buttons to buy food and sit on the bank of the river for a picnic and watch fireworks. Only to be turned away because of the drinks we purchased at YOUR EVENT! We hadn't even opened one of the drinks. So... People often mention time,

So disappointing! So we spent $30 to buy overpriced food AND drinks to watch a firework show through a chain link fence(we were chased off the bridge by the police, told we couldn't sit in our chairs on the bridge) TACKY WICHITA, REAL TACKY

I love riverfest.. we need more events like this in Wichita! Food is always good. Great collection of art and entertainment as well. It also makes great use of century II. I don't like the food ticket system, but it isn't the end of the world. I also love the concerts!

Stepped into Century 2 to get out of heat for a moment, was told I was "taking up space". Concert was good. Not ever coming back to the Festival. Volunteers we're not cordial at all.

First time here and most likely my last, food prices were ridiculous and why would you make people stand in 2 lines to get your item?? First you stand in a line to buy a ticket for food etc, then another line to actually get the item, WHY? Not impressed.

10/10 do NOT recommend the security they use. Rude, disrespectful, aggressive. Putting their hands on others. Surely ruin wanting to bring my kids to this event! Good day ✌️

Great people who work incredibly hard to make some great times for Wichitans. I don't think the public realizes how much they accomplish. They're a fun group, and such a joy to be around!

The Willy Nelson concert was the most amazing concert I've ever been to.

I attended for Riverfest for the first time. I initially thought that you had to buy a button everyday that you attended. The carnival costs $3 each time it you don't have the button. Even though I ended up only wanting to go to the carnival I would still choose to buy a button next time. Definitely would not want to spend $3 each night. And the ferris wheel is within one of the Riverfest areas. Tried the food...it's pretty standard fare. And the have Cajun night...and assortment costs $10 (dinner and a type of dessert). Definitely worth it. Something to do. I also made it to the car show.

One of the greatest volunteer organizations in the Wichita area. I am proud to always be a small part of a group that gives back to our community through such family based forward thinking & planning.

Riverfest 2023 Gospel Celebration- Rain (our dear old friend) has tried to put a damper on events but the Spirit prevailed and Gospel night delivered as promised. The Blind Boys of Alabama took us back to our Gospel roots with all time standards followed by Brent Jones "Open your mouth and say sumpn!

Never been to River Festival so decided to try it out this year...I would say I was disappointed in every aspect. First the $15 I feel like wasn't worth it, on top of all the overpriced concessions that you have to buy tickets to turn in to the food vendors. Then the cowboy stock tank races weren't even metal stock tanks. And the race distance was too long for the contestants. I wish they would've had everyone race at once around the bridge peirs. Then the paddleboats didn't have the vouchers there when they were suppose to start. So we waited, and waited and when almost an hour came we left. And what do you know once we walked to the other side of the river they magically got them. There were no hot air balloons like the schedule said. And there's more things listed on the schedule if you have the app vs what their website says. They drag this event out over too many days which makes what they have for 1 day not worth it. (We dont live in Wichita so the 1 hr drive to come back other days isn't worth it) The river tour ride says it goes till eight but they stop letting people in line like 45 minutes before, so we didn't even get to do that. You have to empty your water bottle before going it the gates. Needless to say, I will never come back to this event.

I have been a long-time Riverfestival enthusiast and participant since the 70s. I was encouraged last year, post-pandemic. They at least had brought in some music from the generations who made Riverfest a thing to begin with. This year's lineup doesn't include an oldies concert or rock band from the generations that started it all. Concerts from the past featured names like REO, Kansas, Little Big Town, Eddie Money, and even last year, Willie Nelson and The Family Stone! What happened to the local music bands? No hot air ballons, no ice cream social? Eli Young is scheduled on Tuesday night at 5:30. People are barely off work by that time of day, if at all. Buttons are pricy, and the planned events lack anything enticing enough to motivate one to spend the money or energy to go down there. It's super disappointing. Here's hoping for something better next year.

The hub and brain for one of Wichita's biggest annual events, the Wichita River Festival. This core group along with thousands of volunteers put a nine-day festival, happening at the beginning of June. Parades, car shows, and nightly concerts on two different stages are just some of the events that lead to the finale fireworks on the last Saturday of the festival. Make it a point to get out and support, your local anything!
