This is a great place to learn self defense in a friendly and accepting environment. The instructors are knowledgeable and approachable. They have classes for all ages and work with students of all ability levels. Premier also offers a great workout class. I can't say enough good things about this place. They treat you like family.

My entire family loves coming to classes here. It's a fun atmosphere to learn new skills in, the staff are like family, everybody is really supportive of each others fitness journey. PMA not only strives for their excellence, but yours as well.

Five years ago, my daughter and I began taking classes at this amazing school. Effective and intensive instruction, combined with respect and personalized attention make PMA-Lawrence a wonderful place for people from preschool to post 60 years of age. If you keep showing up, they keep teaching until success is achieved. Friendship, fun, self defense capacity and over-all fitness are all part of the experience.

The instructors at Premier Martial Arts in Lawrence are fantastic. Mark and the whole team have a real passion for working with kids of all abilities and ages. They have had a profound impact on all 3 of my daughters, and especially one of them who has been with them for 6 years now.

Everyone is super supportive and patient. Both instructors and students help teach new people so you don't learn bad habits. No toxic masculinity so it is a safe place to learn!

Premier is awesome! My son Poncho wanted to do martial arts for a long time, and we were leery of him getting hit and kicked, but that’s not the case with Premier! They have great class sizes, AMAZING instructors, and convenient class times. I couldn’t recommend them any more highly to anyone considering them. Awesome group of people!

If you have ever wondered if you could effectively defend yourself, you need to join Premier Martial Arts. They’ll teach you how to do that and much more. The owners treat you like family and the instructors are highly qualified/skilled and very responsive to all students’ particular needs. I’ve learned that being small (or having a physical limitation) doesn’t mean you can’t defend yourself effectively. It just means that you may need to approach the situation differently. They'll teach you how to modify techniques when necessary. Anyone can do this. I’ve also improved my physical fitness and developed deep friendships with many people there. My kids have also benefited from their amazing kids/teens programs, so we continue to be members (since around 2012). If you are truly interested in finding a place where your kids (or you) can learn real self-defense, have a blast, and become part of an awesome extended family, then come to Premier Martial Arts.
