We went there to watch a band, the band was great. The bar was beautiful. The place was super clean, the women's bathroom had 100000 rolls of tp the ladies had so much tp! Everyone was so happy throughout the night. Drinks were so good, they were pouring just right and mixing so well. Also the drinks were perfectly priced for what you got. I will say the bartenders were very tentative and well trained! Also they were great at serving. I watched them high five a lady at the bar because she was having so much fun, had a drink poured for me by another drunk lady and another asked to hug my spouse over miss hearing him. we left early to tell passerbys to go in and see this beautiful place.

Quite an experience! We went to see Roche Limit play and they were great!! The crowd was really enjoying the show!! They have a nice outdoor patio and good cold beer!!

I went tonight to see the Salsa group Tumbao. The live music made really happy! The place got packed very quickly. Everyone was enjoying the night. I am coming back for sure.

My first time here left a great impression. Went for a comedy show, which was wonderful, and it was an overall great vibe from the atmosphere to the company to the staff and show. I absolutely will visit again.

I went to my first show here a couple years ago and it was an awesome experience. I now go any chance I can to catch a show. Definitely go if you find an acct your a fan of. Because of Barleycorn's intimate size, you are truly interacting with the artists and the talent they book is incredible!! The sound is well managed, the vibe is always cool and friendly. Pro tip, order their personal sized pizzas! Omg they are so good. Don't be intimidated to order a drink, although this place is a venue the drinks are in priced the same as any normal bar you'd find. The bartenders are just as cool as the vibe and ordering a drink is quick regardless of the crowd size.

If there was a zero star option it’d be my best friend. If you’re going to host bands that are reaching a younger demographic maybe don’t have them book your venue. And maybe update your website and have your age requirement shown next time like most SMART businesses. 0/5 stars, tried to call ahead to ask about age requirements and NOBODY answered the phone. Thank you for wasting everyone’s time.

Had a great experience here recently. Hadn’t been here in over 20 years. Current owner seems to be taking care of the place, which is a nice change of pace for Kansas’ older venues and clubs. Def catch a show here and enjoy yourself!

Went to Salsa night featuring Wichita's premire Salsa band, "Tumbao". Dancing to the music while this band performs is always a blast! The whole bar becomes a crowded dance floor, but the music and dancing are incredible. Although it is generally super crowded, this band is not to be missed if you are a Latin music fan, and there is an air of intimacy, that makes it all feel welcoming and communal. The wait staff does a good job, drinks are reasonably priced, and the general ambiance is cozy. I always try to go any time Tumbao is playing, it is a real treat. Love this place!

We went there to watch a band, the band was great. The bar not so much. The place was dirty, the women's bathroom had 1 roll of tp the ladies had to keep passing from stall to stall and no one was checking the condition of the bathroom throughout the night. Drinks were not good, they were over pouring and not mixed well. Also the drinks were over priced for what you got. I will say the bartenders were very tentative just not well trained. Also they were over serving by a long shot. I watched them carry one lady out of the bar, had a drink poured on me by another drunk lady who didn't seem to realize she was holding a beer when she threw her hands up, and another threatened to fight my spouse over miss hearing him. I'm shocked that the police weren't called at some point all though we left early to avoid the drunk drivers.
