Had dinner Saturday night with my husband for our one year anniversary, also first time out alone after baby had been born. We were seated quickly, our waiter was kind, and the atmosphere was nice…that’s about as much good as I have to say. We each ordered a steak, mine was supposed to be medium well, my husbands medium rare. Mine came out rare the first time so we sent it back. It came back medium, but I didn’t want to keep waiting so I said it would be fine. During that time my husband had waited to cut into his steak assuming they’d gotten his correct, his ended up being completely raw. The manager was called over and said he’d get things taken care of and told us we could order a dessert and a drink for the inconvenience. The steak came back and there was almost no change in the cook and was cold to the touch. We’d been there for over an hour at this point when the manager came back and offered to have the entire dinner thrown out and new recooked for us, we told them to box up what we already had as we needed to get home soon. We ate our dessert, got the check, and both steaks were on it, along with the sides that we’d barely touched while waiting to get both steaks back the way we wanted. We called the manager over yet again to discuss the fact that we’d had only a few bites of our dinner between the two of us, along with the annoyance of it all, and the check without tip was about $160. He begrudgingly took the steaks off. We tipped our waiter well as this was not his fault and then left for home where we planned to cook the food so it was edible in hopes that we could salvage our night. I’ve attached a photo of my husbands steak after we looked at it when we got home. The food did not warm up well and we ended up eating snacks at the house.

We are from Vegas and used to dining at all the top spots so going to Chester's Chophouse seemed to be right up our alley. As soon as we were seated our server rushed up and said we couldn't sit there as it was reserved in a few hours for someone else, the hostess had turned around and waited to see what our server was saying, she was just as surprised as is and moved us. The menu was a bit lackluster but there were some interesting options, and the specials. The Chilled Shrimp Cocktail was our starter and at $MP of $6 per shrimp they should have been cleaned out better, two shrimp were not even properly prepared. They could improve their Deveining process. The Old School Garlic Salad was basic but the creamy garlic dressing is everything you could hope for. Seriously this is a top 3 salad for me. The other special was Swordfish and a pea and corn risotto. The risotto was delicious and the Swordfish was average cookery and nothing special. We got the Baby Green Bean & Bacon Sauté and wow, those were probably the worst green beans I have had in my life! There was hardly any bacon and they seemed like they were just steamed over water and then tossed in a pan with a bit of bacon and no seasoning. Very bland. We also booked via open table for a Birthday and that was never mentioned. The deserts we tried were Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding and an orange carrot cake. Both were good, but the bread pudding had far too many chocolate chips for me, so if you LOVE chocolate this is for you! Also, the "reserved" table was still empty when we left. So moving us was completely pointless and quiet frankly rude and set a dark and uncomfortable tone for the meal. The service was still on point and timely. Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Server and mood after being moved after sitting down ⭐ Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haz, the best server we have ever had, period. House bacon aka candied thiCC cut pork belly with maple mustard sauce - Incredible Philly Cheesesteak Rolls aka philly cheesesteak in a wonton wrap - Genius creation Not sure if the steak was dry-aged, maybe slightly as the nuttiness barely came through. However, it was tender, nicely seasoned, came with 4 sauces for us to try. Chester’s Steak sauce - tangy sweet, tomato/ketchup and bbq sauce based Garlic Herb Pesto - savory, smooth (from the oil), earthy flavor Lemon Bearnaise - creamy, slightly tangy, slightly sweet, a richer tasting ranch without overpowering flavors Cognac au Poivre - favorite, you can almost smell the cognac buried deep in the sauce, slightly creamy, rich rich flavor, there is for sure a secret ingredient that makes it different that your average Cognac au Poivre. Love it! Love it! Love it!!! Side of wild mushrooms and sweet corn - TASTY! Worth every penny.

Great place is you're looking for something a little bit classy, yet pricey. I've visited here two times in the past 6 months and each time I've been blown away by how knowledgeable and attentive the staff is. The food is verrrrry good but some of the appetizers and drinks are not worth the cost, in my opinion. Good place for a special outing.

First time here and it was great!! The atmosphere was amazing, the service was phenomenal and the food… the food was my favorite part!! My steak was cooked to perfection. The wine chose was great!! Love this place. I hate I can’t remember our waiters name be too was great with the help he had! We had a party of 11 and he and his helper kept us happy!! The only downside was that the bathroom wasn’t what I expected. Just a little dirty but I understand you guys had a busy Saturday night!

Lovely esthetic, wonderful menu, spectacular staff. From the calamari to the Oscar style center cut filet, you can't go wrong whatever you choose to order. Start with a Philly cheesesteak roll, indulge in the Seafood Linguini, but don't forget to order a Tumbleweed carafe for the table. You don't want to miss out on this boozy milkshake, customisable with chocolate covered cherries and edible straws. Thank you for a very special experience to match our very special occasion!

We visited Chester's a week ago before heading out of Wichita. We requested outside seating and we were able to get a table without a reservation as it was a week night. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Rolls and the Wood-oven Roasted Feta for starters. They were both average in taste. It was quite disappointing to see a few strands of hair in the pickled mushrooms in the Feta starter. The restaurant did take this off the bill, however it did put a damper on the overall experience. Both the Ribeye and the New York Strip were cooked to the correct temperature. And the steaks were well seasoned and we enjoyed the sauces which accompanied the steaks. We were not too impressed with both the starches; Mac n' Cheese and the Red Bliss Mash. We felt they both lacked in flavor. Lemon Asparagus and the Roasted Corn & Wild Mushrooms were tastier with corn and mushrooms being our favorite. We opted out of dessert as we were full. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. But it stopped there as we weren't impressed with his attentiveness. We actually had to get the server taking care of the table next to us to ask our server to come to our table as he was busy inside taking care of closing duties. The service was quite disappointing for an establishment such as Chester's as we had to pour the wine ourselves and ask for water refills. The manager approached our table and apologized for the hair being in one of the dishes and the lack of attention exhibited by the server. We truly enjoyed the conversation with the Manager and his acknowledgement of the areas that needed some improvements. We know they have some lovely cocktails but we stuck to wine on this particular evening. The ambience of the place is beautiful. Great location but surely needs to improve the level of service and attentiveness from the staff.

Went here last night for anniversary dinner! The waitress was amazing with recommendations on drinks, entrees and appetizers. Definitely worth the money even though it is pricey. The atmosphere is great we got a spot by the window over looking the water it was quiet and relaxing. Would recommend going for special occasions!

We always choose somewhere high end for date night, as he travels for work and is rarely here. We were not disappointed, at all! We starter with 3 appetizers: beef carpaccio (be advised the slices are paper thin), mussels, and prime meatballs which were my favorite! We ordered a few drinks by the waitresses recommendations, the watermelon is definitely melony; the painkiller is very good as well. For entrees, he ordered the filet, and I ordered the petite "bistro" filet but instead of the blue cheese crumble, I requested garlic and herb butter atop my steak. We then had creme brule for dessert. The ambiance and scenery was exactly what we were looking for. They were surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night, which just goes to show how awesome they are!

Love the atmosphere, our waitress was excellent. I am a true steak connoisseur, having eaten steaks at high end restaurants all over the US. So when I was told of their special of the night, a 34 Oz porterhouse for $100, I was eager to try it. My vegetables were awesome, my potatoes were perfect. But, my steak was not even in my top 10. Very tough, especially for a porterhouse. I'm not saying I wouldn't return, I just wouldn't recommend their high end steaks.

We met up with some friends and had reserved a spot outside facing the pond. Food was great atmosphere was great we could see from our table the large fireplace inside in June lit up and on the other side was the pond and the Ducks floating around. It was very peaceful. Our Waiters we're very attentive to our needs and when was very exceptional which seemed to be the head waiter. The food was extraordinary and I got the glazed pork chops which apparently was enough for two but I didn't know it when I ordered it, so I had leftovers.

3 of us dined together and chose to split the 26 oz Cowboy Ribeye. We each also had a baked potato. The potato additions of whipped butter, bacon, sour cream and cheese on the side is nice so you can add however much you prefer. The steak was fabulous and if you don't want to be too stuffed it could be shared by 4, then you can draw numbers for the bone. Fabulous atmosphere, great service, We sat inside because was our 1st time and didn't know that outside was an option. Still, everything was good. I don't know if the price of $10 Yuengling was because of the view of the water but if so, everyone should have a view of the water. I will return.

When a “prime” steakhouse brings out their 4 different steak sauces Beware!!! The Prime Boneless Ribeye had no flavor and was tough and full of gristle, this steak is not even a choice cut. The filet was decent but not prime. Flavorless steaks. That being said the clam chowder was great and the service was good. I have had much better steaks at chain restaurants. Just avoid the steak!!!

Food here was incredible. The philly rolls are worth coming back for over and over. Steaks were perfectly done and the potatoes were delicious. Server was top notch too. Request the full group of steak sauces. They were all amazing but the garlic herb pesto was the best match for the fillet. It enhanced it so well and made you want to order another steak.
