Little selection of meat. The meat was thin as paper. The noodles are dry and tasteless. I understand there's 1 cook. There was a lot of people waiting for their food to get cooked. My food was so COLD and tasteless. My meat was cold and not steaming to indicate it was cooked. I went with 4 people and all the same. Cold was not cooked. I was hearing other people complaining about their food was cold. My drink was empty and I tried calling 3 waitresses for a refill. They all looked at me and walked away. I don't know how it's a 5 star but, if I can have one word for this place. One word, Microwave. A Asian McDonald's reheat dry food. That's what it taste like. Reheated food that wasn't cooked all the way and served as fresh food.

I went in with some family and friends. Anyways wasn't feeling the meat as it was cold and not cooked well. This food is good there but tonight that was my only complaint. Service was good.

Food was good as usual but I can't say the same for the service. Our waiter was very slow and inattentive. He didn't get our drink order right. There was 4 of us and 1 had to go order his Dr pepper at the bar. No refills were ever offered. I would have had a 2nd beer if the waiter had came back. I had to go to the bar and request our bill.

Great atmosphere, and endless possibilities for dishes, since you pick your own ingredients seasonings and sauces. Ready access to Bradley Fair shopping center.

Fast and friendly service. Drinks at my table were always topped off. The cooks got through some long lines pretty quickly. Loved that it was all you can eat and that you can go back multiple times to try different sauce combinations. Minus one star because the place was kinda dirty. Floors were sticky. I mean I get that it's gonna be a little messy when you have a self serve buffet style but everything could be wiped down a bit more. Also the bathroom was a disaster. Anyone walking in there with open toed shoes would've come out sopping wet. Good food. Good service. Could clean up a little bit more.

It's my first time ever hearing about this place and it was a good experience so I'm glade I went on my robotics trip for compilation. I spent about $23 dollars tips included in it and food was amazing. You get seated then get your drinks go put food in bowls then give it to the guys at the grills then get give to you on a plate and it's all you can eat.

It was yummy! Unfortunately I was not able to get a box for my leftovers, that bother me a bit because I pay a lot and the rest it was thrown away, that’s the only part I didn’t like

The over all experience was good. Plenty of food to choose from. The atmosphere was cool. The host/manager was ok. Great waiter. My only comment on the food was that it was hot when put into the plate, however by the time i got to the table it was already getting cold. Maybe grill was not hot enough? Maybe while cooking cover food with a lid? Overall food was good.good experience

10-8-23 around 6pm. When I feel like a big meal this is my go to place. The selection of meats and vegetables is great. I love how you can go up more than once and the bowls are right there to grab. The sauces are great. Put in more sauce than you think you need. The sauce cooks with the food. My waitress was fantastic. There was two gentleman running the grill. One, I believe was the manager. What I liked best was seeing the employees smile. If you love meats and vegetables and having complete control of what is on your plate then check this place out. It's so good!

I have been to this restaurant several times over the last ten years. After going to BD Mongolian Grill, I will not be going back to Hu Hot. BD has higher quality meat that is fresh and not frozen. The selection of vegetables is also better. At Hu Hot your only choice is white rice as at BD you can choose from white or brown rice or noodles.

Great selection and fresh ingredients available at this traditional style Mongolian grill restaurant. They will cook the food right in front of you. A few minor changes would make this a five star restaurant: ensure cookware in clean and presentable and that chef's are cleaning utensils often, ensure that the cooking experience that is viewable by all is well displayed and that chef's rotate often and they should be allowed to cool off in an area where the temperature is lower so they can keep themselves presentable. These small items would make a large difference towards building a higher value restaurant.

Delicious food! Great quality ingredients. This was a first time visiting in this area and I was so glad I found it. My kids enjoyed their meal also. We will be back soon before we head out of town.

Absolutely love this place. I try to go once a week at least. The variety is great, everyone is nice, and you can get as many bowls as you want for one low price, especially for lunch. They don't even mind if you fill two bowls to have more room for stuff, and then they'll combine it for you on to one plate. The value is incredible for the amazing delicious food you get. They have so many sauces to choose from and the chefs will cook it for less time or extra time or anything you prefer. I've been to bd's (a competitor) as well, and THEY really try to make it super expensive to have the unlimited option, and they really push their appetizers and milk you for every dollar you have. One time they even tried to charge me for two unlimiteds somehow because I went up twice. Even if you get the unlimited, they only give you one bowl to fill at a time. Their sauces are a lot thicker and it's harder to make sure you don't use too much. You don't actually get to see them cook your food so you have to make sure you tell them not to overcook it and then trust them. You also have to make sure they don't put rice in your food if you don't want it. They often do overcook your food or accidentally put rice in it anyway. One time when they put rice in my food and I didn't want it, they offered to not charge me for the unlimited and only charge me for one bowl and let me go up again. But when I went up again after THAT, even though they knew I wanted unlimited in the first place, they told me they would have to charge me for the unlimited all over again. Durrrrrr. When you tip there, they start shouting "tip tip hooray" and it's really embarrassing. Here at HuHot though they just have a little tip jar and they'll thank you really low key if they see you tip. Rice is also always offered separately but still comes with your meal and is not an extra charge. You also get to watch them cook your food right in front of you. So definitely give HuHot your business and skip bd's! HuHot is about amazing food, while bd's is all about being kind of flashy, gimmicky, and squeezing as much money out of you as they can.

This is a significant deviation from the norm in buffet dining. The food items are cold and you get to add your own flavors via the sauce bar. Then you roll around to the huge round grill where the chef cooks your food. The skill with kitchen tools is enjoyable to watch. The whole process is quick and the layout of the buffet bars is such that it will allow for a quick bite even when they are busy. There are plenty of veggie options available too. There is a sign at the front end of the buffet bars that says 5 ladles of sauce. Definitely mix and match you do need the five ladles and it is insane how well the flavors meld together. Would be a great place for a date or a meal with the crew from work.

First time coming here. The ambiance was really cool. I've never been to a restaurant like this before. We loaded up our bowls with many different food options and waited in line to have them cooked hibachi style right in front of us. Since you're ladleing the sauces into your bowl yourself, getting the right amount of seasoning can be a little tricky, but overall, the actual cooking of the food was really well done. The chefs definitely know what they're doing.

I love this place. Pick your own food and watch them cook it while you chat with your friends or jam out with your headphones. P.S. Add lots of sauce to your bowl if you get drier ingredients or plan to add white rice. Most of the water in the sauce boils away while they cook it.

Place has really gone downhill since reopening from Covid. Quality of ingredients are down, the cooks seem extremely inexperienced and burn the food. I watched 1 cook struggle on a Thursday night while the manager talked to a waitress behind the bar. Someone finally came to help clean the grill and cleaned it counter clockwise which splashed lots of dirty water in my meal. For a Thursday night I thought it was much less busy than it used to be, and now I know why. 2 adults and 1 child was over $50 with no appetizer. Much higher prices, reduced quality and service does not translate well. Hopefully they turn it back around, used to be my favorite place to eat, last several visits have been less than good.

The food is always delicious, the restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and efficient. I'm especially grateful that the grill team is gracious when separating my meal because of a food allergy, even when they're slammed. Thank you for allowing me to still enjoy my favorite restaurant and keeping me safe! 🙌 (21st and Rock, Wichita)

Took my girlfriend and her brother here. He picked this place. Wasn't expecting much but was accommodated when I walked in with my dog. The artwork was really intriguing. The food was bland but it did serve the purpose. I'm not a foodie but her brother seemed happy so all in all I was happy.

What service do you guys use for your “2,000” reviews? I eat 1-3 meals a year that I don’t enjoy. This is the worst one of 2022. I’ll give them credit, their food has this magic quality that ends your hunger after putting the first bite in your mouth. But, I figured for $20 bucks I’d better get my money’s worth and finish my food, but this was a huge mistake. I had to use 3 sick days to recover. If you want to pay $20 per person for food poisoning, I’d say go for it. Otherwise, go anywhere else in Wichita. There are a lot of great restaurants!

The food was amazing. However the only down side to the whole place was that the buffet of food was all over the place and the bowls were all dirty. The waiter was nice and the guy cooking the food was great. I would give this place 5 stars but no specials on beer when they have taps and the cleanliness of the place. Would go back.

Price is a bit higher than competition, since the don't allow you to box up anything you don't finish. Atmosphere is good, feels like a generally nice Date night place. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the sauce station as it was premixed options will focus on spice/hot sauces. I would have preferred one side be premixes and the other be make your own mixs. The amount of sauce needed to keep food from coming back dry is a bit much as the sauce is poured into your bowl. The cooking method used cooks the food and sauce at the same time which will boil off most of the sauce. Overall experience is fair to good. I am willing to eat here in the future.

Preferential treatment is wrong. When you have two sets of two people walk in, and the second set is seated first when you told us 15 - 20 minutes, yet the people behind us get seated almost immediately. Not a good look, and really doesn’t make me want to return. Yes, it’s busy and we were more than willing to wait, but that sure doesn’t feel great given that I am physically disabled and using a knee crutch. We can grab dinner anywhere, but sure hoped you’d live up to better service than that. Disappointed. Edit: I should also add that it seems the guest knew the server, so that likely was the reason behind it all. Still no excuse when others are waiting to be seated as well… Edit: no special requests were made. We were hoping to be seated at the next available table. The server clearly knew the guests and pulled them right away.

The food is good. Buffet-style selection of your raw ingredients (meat, noodles, veggies, sauce) with many options to choose from. Then take it to to the grill and watch the chefs in action cooking up your dinner in style. Due to the "cooked to order" nature of Mongolian grill, there can be a little wait to eat, if the restaurant is busy. White rice also comes with the meal. I would describe the atmosphere as very casual.

Never had a bad meal here! You go through the line, pick your own meats and veggies, select sauces and they cook it right in front of you. They take special care of those who have allergies--double cleaning the grill, dividing it apart from other meals and only using clean utensils for it. Great soup and Asian salad too!

Well, this was my first time at the HuHot in Wichita. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my experience was quite more pleasurable than I could have ever anticipated. The food was good, but what made my experience the best were 2 fantastic employees. Chris, the guy with the beard and a great personality was the cook. He carried on a brief great and personable conversation, and Henry, my server. Henry went above and beyond to make my lunch dining experience more than probably any server I've had in history. Thank you HuHot for keeping classy employees who treat your customers with dignity, respect and true concern. Kudos to ya HuHut, Chris and Henry!!!
