I was wanting to come here for a long time, so when the time finally arose, I really didn't know what to expect. The place was packed and everyone was having a good time. Side note: Having a reservation is definitely encouraged. And unless you have a group of 8, be prepared to be seated with other hungry customers. We get seated and look over the menu. You will get a soup, salad, rice, vegetables, meat of your choice (if you want meat), and a Raspberry dessert. So you definitely get the quantity of food that you pay for. Our chef was pretty cool and really enjoyed watching the food being cooked in front of us. All around a positive experience. So if you're looking for a good place to eat with a positive atmosphere and great entertainment, Kobe's will have you covered.

Such a refreshing first visit to Kobe! This place is SO much cleaner than the other popular place in town, so we were off to a great start! Then throw in that it was properly staffed, and the employees were friendly and attentive, it makes it an easier decision on where we’ll be going the next time we want hibachi experience! The food was great also, and the chef was entertaining. We had a wonderful family dinner, and we will definitely be back!

This was my first time at Kobe. I have been to several other japanese steakhouses, but this one is by far the cleanest and the best atmosphere! Food was delicious and the show whole being cooked was top notch! My girlfriend has a mild egg allergy and they even accommodated her and did not put eggs in her rice!

Was a great experience. Only complaint would be that we had to wait quite awhile to get seated. We did make a reservation so that was the frustrating part. Once we got seated everything was amazing! Our chef even bought me a birthday drink! It was a great show and the food was incredible!

Love watching them cook. Amazing food. They make you laugh the whole time. White dragon was a great cook. Thanks for the awesome birthday dinner. Will be back in the future.

We went for My Mom's 58th Birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The wait wasn't long at all, the atmosphere was so cozy and warm. The food was EXCELLENT and the chef was really entertaining. Great service all around, we'll be back!!

This is hands down the best Japan Hibachi steakhouse in Wichita! I have been going to Japanese steakhouses for a long time and you will know how good they are by the food and the service. Without a doubt, Kobe's has both of these figured out! Shane provides the best hospitality every single time we are there and the chef's are all well experienced and put on a good show. The tuna, salmon, filet, and shrimp, are all of my favorite items there. Try out the dragon sauce and Shane's sauce too next time you are there!

Went for my daughter's 15th birthday and it was great! The food was pretty good, even though I thought the soup was a bit too salty. I loved the salad, and everything else was delicious. My daughter felt special and the service was top-notch. We were seated with another group and we had a great time! We'll definitely be back!

This was my first time and I am already planning to go back! I had so much fun and the food was so good!! My favorite drink was the Zombie, with a flaming shot inside of a lime. I enjoyed the chef's Delight with chicken and shrimp. Definitely make a reservation and head of time and be mindful that you still may have a bit of a wait. I suggest grabbing a drink or two at the bar.

Great food as always. Best fried rice in town. Oh and you can't go wrong with the ginger sauce! Staff is always friendly and quick. One of my biggest pet peeves is the reservation times are not always accurate. Nobody likes waiting when you made a reservation. But at least you can enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait.

I've been here, at West Wichita's Kobe Steakhouse of Japan, many, many times, and each time I’ve been it's been a fantastic experience. The service is always excellent - meaning they pay attention to your requests, to get you exactly what you need. Great selection of side dishes and the steaks plus the seafood are to die for. I am a happy customer! The combination of decent price, good show and amazing food makes this steakhouse a must go place. Also, a good place to treat a loved one for his / her birthday or ...to take a group of rowdy friends.

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hostess was friendly and efficient. The waiter and chef were fantastic. They kept our glasses full and our plates heaping with delicious food. The food was out of this world. We couldn’t have asked for a better.

The food here is delicious, and they don't skimp on portions. Everything from the soup to the steak tasted wonderful, but the fried rice is absolutely amazing. I went here for my birthday/graduation recently and was brought a slice of lemon cake after the food. It was a bit of a spectacle when they brought it out, but really that was just a part of the fun. Very friendly atmosphere.

food: 10/10 — everything we ate was good. their special sauces are 🔥🔥. customer service: 10/10 — friendly staff continues to check up on our table throughout the dinner even when busy! chef was entertaining! highly recommend. every time I go there, they are busy. make sure you have a reservation! and make sure your entire party is there by the time of your reservation. of course, at any hibachi restaurant, there will still be wait times. be patient, and have a drink. 10/10 would recommend

The great reviews hold true. Great experience for any occasion. They offer so much for the price of the meal—miso soup, salad and dessert. Very friendly service from the chef to the servers. Thanks for a great dinner experience Kobe team!

The service, food, drinks and entertainment are all too notch. Our cook “White Dragon” was hilarious and made us all amazing food. Our whole party was thoroughly impressed. The staff was sublime with our needs and wants and I would highly recommend the tuna steak.

A fantastic fun experience. You get a meal that taste wonderful. I've never had a fillet be so tender. The Hibachi chef puts on a great show and is very funny.

I always love Kobe's, excellent food, amazing service, and easily among the finest Hibachi grills in the city. I have loved them since a child and will continue to cherish their food and performance. I would like to add, that I have seen the performance of their chefs dozens of times, and while it never ceases to be entertaining to observe a new patron enjoying the show, it would be nice if returning customers could occasionally be treated to new and innovative tricks, gags, jokes, and other shenanigans. I would love to see the possibilities of allowing chefs to be more artistically expressive. Thanks again Kobe! Always in my heart... And belly 😁

Went to Kobe for the first time this evening… We had the pleasure of having the owner as our Chef for the evening. First of all the food was absolutely amazing but he was so kind and did such an outstanding job with everything, very talented and such a good chef!!!
