This was one of our first little stops after having just moved to Wichita from Idaho. The kids were super stir crazy and needed some hands-on things to do. The price is alright but it was worth getting my kids out of the house. There are different sections for aerospace, hands-on trinkets, an area for what it’s like as an astronaut, and more. It was really really great for all of us, even the adults.

Lots of fun exhibits and interactive parts for kids. Educational and hands on. It was crowded but also a rainy day. There is a play area specifically for kids 5 and under. Multiple restrooms and spots for strollers. Hand sanitizer available throughout. Located on the river so you can look at the water and see the Keeper of the Plains. Highly recommend if you have young kids.

What a great time exploring another museum. An amazing space, plenty of water and sanitizing stations… a mix of everything. Their walk along guides were knowledgeable too.

Out of town visitor on a day trip to Wichita. Came in during the afternoon once the heat got too much to stand. Really enjoyed all the interactive exhibits for the kids and the adults. The castle was awesome for the kids to run around and learn how life was during medieval places. The exhibits on aviation was really cool and there was something for both kids and adults. My daughter and I enjoyed flying the business jet to various cities. Highly recommend this place if you are a local or visiting. We spent only 2 hours there because we got mid afternoon and they were closing. Could have spent more time there if it was possible.

I’ve been here a couple times and the interactive exhibits are great fun to play with, even for adults. This is definitely not your typical look and read museum. Almost all of the exhibits in here are engaging in some way. The flight simulator however was hands down my favorite thing in the museum. I probably spent a little too much time at that particular exhibit. Great place to come with kids or to awaken your inner child with friends.

My 2 year old daughter really enjoyed it; alot to do for kids of all ages. She really liked the water/dam display and the "5 and under" area. Service was very friendly. We went on a holiday weekday so it wasn't as busy as it probably is on the weekend.

Went to exploration place with my nephew over the holidays. He had a blast. The place has really improved since I was his age. I was surprised by the amount of working exhibits. Of course the castle catapult is still out of balls but that seems normal at this point. My nephew even made some fast friends while they were working on directing waterways.

Exploration place is a wonderful place for kids with lots to do regardless of the child’s age. We brought a 9 month old and two year old and both children were entertained. There is a section for ages five and under that kept both children busy for at least an hour. There was a castle section with a castle to explore, a knight, and fake animals to sit on. The two year old really enjoyed exploring that. There was also a section that explored possible careers as well. It had a medical helicopter that was the two year old absolutely loved. All in all we enjoyed the experience. The kids fell asleep as soon as we got back to the car. I would definitely recommend visiting when you have some time.

Really enjoyed our visit here. I had two kids with me eight and three. There was so much stuff for both of them to do. They accepted our pass from our children's museum back home which was even more awesome. There was a lot to see and do for many ages. We came on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't that busy which was nice. The staff was all helpful and super nice. Some parents couldn't clean up after their kids but thats not the museums fault.

Very cool place. My son is 13 and enjoyed the hands on experience and we even learned a lot about Kansas as well. Got to play a lot of games and there's also movies in the Dome Theater. Used the Sunflower app to get in free and it was super fun. Long line to get in but wasn't a bad wait.

We went using the Summer App for Kansas. It allows you to do whatever activities you would like but limited to 2 per person. But that will typically be all you have time for. We love the Dome movies, they are tremendous. We also saw the magic show. I love that the display changes and really enjoyed the Circus display. It was so much information and things to do. I really like that everything is child-friendly including a snack area that is reasonable.

My kid loves coming here! 2 & under are free. We paid for the basic pass for adult & it’s worth it! We spent around 3 hours exploring the museum. My son loves the toddler playground they have!

We had a 6 year old's birthday party at Exploration Place and the kids had so much fun! Even the teenagers. The room was clean and ready, communication was informative and friendly. Everyone is helpful and very nice. We will love to come back!

A great place to take the kids to get out of the heat/cold/rain! A lot of children's museums feel a little gross but they really stay on top of cleaning everything 👌 The exhibits are fun/engaging for a variety of ages. We especially love the miniature train and under5 room! There are tables to sit and eat at so bring a sack lunch or snack! This place is well worth the cost of the membership.

We have season passes, so you know we must enjoy it. You don't have to worry about the kids breaking anything and they learn quite a bit while they play. I enjoy being here. Not a boring place.

Exploration place is always fun. There is so much going on and the new dog exhibit was cool. The boys enjoyed seeing how fast they could run in one of the exhibits. Thank You to Envision for having us out. It was great to see all the art on display and the artists behind them made by the early childhood development center.

My kids LOVE this place and honestly so do I. The exhibits are very well put together, live science shows are always amazing and they love to get kids involved. There's so much I could say about how great it is but you really should go check it out for yourself. Don't forget to check out the dome theater.

Excellent time for age 2-6 year old kids and adults! Castle room was fun for all, spent 20-30 minutes roaming and learning. Health and aviation rooms were entertaining and educational. Kansas and KEVA rooms were so much fun to experience and play with water, wind and block building. Enjoyed Dome show about Kansas. Thanks to Sunflower Summer app for admission!! Want to go again - and stay longer.

So many things for kids of all ages to do. The kids did not have enough time to do everything. The adults had a great time too. This is a great attraction for Wichita. It was less crowded the first two hours they were open. Would recommend showing up right when they open.

The kids had so much fun! We’ll have to go back sometime because there’s so much to see and learn and not enough time in just one visit!

We are from Kansas City and while visiting Wichita my 4 kids (3, 4, 6 & 9 years old), wife and I went to Exploration Place. It was fantastic! If you've never been to Exploration Place I would highly recommend it. I loved how my kids would ask "What's that say, Dad?". The environment is set to encourage the curious mind for both kids and adults of all ages. Wichita, thank you for a place that fosters a well rounded education in exciting hands on ways.

I started going here 15 years ago with my oldest son, ever since we have gone a few times a year. Now 4 children later each one has had their own experiences and enjoyed every bit of it. We know when we walk through the doors there is a new adventure to be had each and every time.

This is one of the best science center we have visited out of the 150+ we have been to across the country. We loved how interactive it is. The winter wonderland exhibit they have up right now was so enjoyable! The aviation and aeronautic area is excellent! We wish we had more time to play and learn here! My only complaint is the toothbrush claw game by the end, I wanted to just smash it to get a toothbrush. No matter how you hooked the toothbrush kit when the claw got to the top it bumps so hard they just fallout. I give this a huge one star!!!! Five different people walking by told me that there is no way to win and they have tried 100s of times.

I grew up around here and I always had have had a love for the exploration place. So when visiting with my son for the first time I made it the first place we would go to. It's still awesome. For four adults and one child I spent just under eighty dollars. They always have cycling exhibits and at the time of visitation it was the holloween event. They had alot of projection games on the walls and floors that were like Snake or an original body movement game. On one wall they had a zombie game where you throw dodge balls to hit them. It was a blast. As you go through the other areas you learn alot. There is a tiny arcade with arcade machines that require no payment but are health themed. It's cute. Another area teaches of Kansas and engineering. Big aircraft portion. But I love the midevil and fantasy section. They have a catapult that your kid can fire little plastic balls. The catapult is up high and secured to where your child can send rounds without the concern of then hurting someone. The indoor playground is incredible. I wish I had more pictures but I added one of the crawlspace and the little windows they put in. It's a kids world there. I never remembered the little city with the model train and added a video of a section of it. But I would say seeing it in person is so fun!! If you haven't brought your kids here you should!!!!
