The rooms were dirty and in bad shape. First, when I checked in there was a large, greenish crusty mess on the bedspread, as well as smears of the same greenish substance around the dried crusty part. To be honest, it looked like diarrhea. I wish I could upload pictures.. but I don’t see the option to do that. I checked in at 11am on Wednesday and the bed were not changed until 5:50pm on Thursday, the following day. Second, I got 2 connecting rooms to be close to my other family members who were traveling in, but the connecting doors did not function. When we arrived, we could not open them and had to ask a housekeeper; who proceeded to kick and body slam the doors (both sides) to open them. There was significant damage to the door and door jamb that has obviously been there for awhile. All the metal on the door was dented and the metal on the door jamb was all scratched up and there was cut metal that was sharp and jagged. The fact that they’re aware their connecting doors are unsafe and don’t function but haven’t replaced them is concerning. Again, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. But I don’t see the option of uploading all the images I have. The rooms are very outdated, but regardless of how old the rooms are there is no excuse for dirty accommodations at check-in or unsafe/inoperable doors on connecting rooms. I love being a Diamond member and always stay in Hilton umbrella hotels because of the quality rooms and exceptional service I usually count on. Unfortunately I did not receive either at this location.

Clean well kept rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern restaurant with good food. The breakfast buffet was very good and the omelette was amazing. The breakfast chef has skills. The only complaints I have is it’s usually a long walk to your room and the exercise room needs updating. Otherwise I’d give it a 5 on your common hotel scale. After all it’s not the Belagio.

Loved it. Stayed on the top floor, executive rooms. You can look at my review of the restaurant if you like. Five stars. Great front desk experience, great experience with the staff as a whole. Housekeeping was the best ever. Hilton, I don't know how you hire the best young people you do, but I know how I would do it. If I were still in the business, I'd just steal yours. I've done it.

The room was very well cleaned and the hallways were huge and beautiful. I would 100% recommend staying here. It is great for children, it has a pool and a workout room! Breakfast was wonderful, comes with a lot of options. The location is very convenient if you have a flight early morning. It is right by the airport. The employees were great and the employee Joe was so sweet and gave us cookies! He even helped take our bags to our room. Love this hotel so much. Best hotel I’ve been to. The only thing I would recommend is a hot tub :)

I’ve had wonderful stays here. The hotel is nice but the staff makes it happen. The rooms are tight and no issues found on my inspection. There is places close for food and more. It’s literally a short walk right from the terminal. Nice exercise room and pool. I have been to a few other ones that I’ll pass on. Nice job!

Nice hotel convenient to Wichita airport! Shuttle that can take you to anywhere on the airport property. Rooms are a little dated. Second time I’ve stayed here and both times I was in “treat yourself amenities” and never got the stuff I was supposed to get. Lounge is open but has no snacks or even water. Breakfast is always good but service is incredibly slow.

The physical aspects of this hotel were all good and the location was very convenient in relation to the airport. However, I was dissatisfied with how my charges were billed and even after speaking with the motel 3 times, no resolution was reached. Will not stay again or recommend it to others.

They have really gotten worse over the past few years and service is not as good as it used to be, whatsoever. Not sure if they’re under new management, but they seem like they’re really struggling to stay a float. They need better management as it used to be…..No microwave, no hot tub anymore and didn’t honor my Hilton Member Discount….Having a Hilton membership, I stayed at this location and I was very Disappointed. I was going to use my points to upgrade, but when I got there they had booked me for regular price and never honored my member discount because there was a technical issue on their part, but I stayed anyway. After I had made it to my room I didn’t realize there wasn’t a microwave in the room until I ordered food and wanted warm it up. Later that evening I went for a soak, but didn’t realize they had completely taken out the Hot Tub, I had lost money in their vending machines and not to mention no more free continental breakfast…What a bummer. 1⭐️ for comfortable bed and location is convenient if you’re flying in/out of town.

My second or third time here. I do love the convenience and value. If you have a late night arrival or early morning departure, you definitely get the most sleep possible. Great airport hotel. A couple issues, though. I think I had similar issues before. Obviously they can’t rebuild each room to make them quieter. I shouldn’t be able to be awakened by an iPhone alarm going off in the room next door. Just wow. On the 5th floor, and this being Wichita, the high winds scraping across the roof were hardly unnoticeable. Dorothy would understand. The clocks in the rooms should be discarded and replaced. They cannot be adjusted, they are off by more than two hours, and only alarm with an FM radio that literally gets no stations. My fridge worked great but it sounded like it had gastrointestinal problems. It burbled and brewed non stop. This is by no means a quiet place to stay with all the jets and ancillary noises. But it’s comfortable, excessively clean and super convenient.

Stayed two nights here and enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. We've stayed at this one before and the service was once again great. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was nice and we enjoyed the view of the terminal and getting to watch the planes come and go.

Clean and friendly staff. Recommend this hotel with a couple issues to avoid. Two things kept this from being 5 stars. The pool was freezing and we had been looking forward to relaxing a little in the pool. Staff said they would turn on the heaters, but later that night and the next morning, it was still freezing. Communication needs to be better. Priceline said we would recieve a complimentary breakfast with room reservation. Hotel did not honor the priceline promise and didn't inform us until after we'd eaten breakfast, then charged 20/plate, which wasn't worth it.

If you’re attending FSI Wichita Cessna, great location. That’s about the only good thing I can say. This hotel is old and in desperate need of the rooms being renovated. The beds are absolutely atrocious. This hotel has developed that old hotel smell and sets your allergies off like crazy. I’ve stayed in far worse, but for the cost, and the double tree name, I am very disappointed. That said, the staff is extremely friendly and took care of my needs as they came up.

I stayed here for a short work trip, landed at 10:30pm and the proximity to the airport was perfect. I did not receive a warm welcome though, and did not feel valued as a diamond member. The employee checking me in did not thank me for being a diamond member and just did not make me feel welcome. The room had great space- I stayed in a king room. I had no issues until I went into the bathroom and saw a cloth which had very short, small hairs in bedded in it. As I was tired from a long day of traveling. I decided to wait until the morning (I was checking out then anyway) to notify the front desk. Additionally, the toilet ran every 15 min or so which is not great for someone trying to sleep fast. In the morning I was running a little late and grabbed a few items from the pantry to use my $15 credit. The Caesar salad was great, however the hummus and pretzel snack was stale due to the package being open. These things do happen and I understand, however I will be choosing another Hilton property the next time I fly here for business.

Attended a conference held at this hotel and I would definitely recommend! The restaurant inside the hotel has one of the steaks I’ve eaten, which says a lot, I’m a steak connoisseur. The drinks are a top notch heavy pour, and the staff is super nice. Not much patio / hangout space on the exterior for a smoker, but the inside was stellar & room smelled good and was clean!

We booked this hotel because of the indoor pool and proximity to our activities. The indoor pool was entirely too cold for us and our kiddos, even though it was 100 degrees outside. The kids were really disappointed. Our beds were comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great. The room didn’t have enough lighting and the window on the wall took up less than 1/3rd of the wall. Seems like a full wall window would have been a better option, and it would have given us more light. They haven’t fixed the ice machine on the 2nd floor (I read some reviews from May about this same issue). The gals at the front desk definitely don’t like their jobs, and were unkind during the check in process. I also called the front desk once around 1pm to request to have our room cleaned, and she was really quiet and rude about that as well. She said they can’t clean my room until the next day. I find it really odd that this hotel doesn’t turn over your room like most do, and if you don't request it, you don’t get fresh towels or your trash taken out, etc. I did enjoy the fitness room for the two mornings that I used the treadmill and weights. The buffet breakfast (eggs/bacon/etc) was $16 per person, which is entirely too expensive for what most hotels will give you for free with your stay. If you want dry cereal and muffins, you still have to pay $10 per person. We went elsewhere for breakfast on our second morning and got way more food for the price! We will likely choose a different hotel next time we stay in the area.

This is a great hotel. Reasonably priced and a short 3 minute walk to the airport check in. I was impressed by two things; 1. I ended up in a mobility room, nit sure if I accidentally booked it or if other specialty room were booked. I've worked in an industry that has a large population of people living with differing abilities and am familiar with the variety of accommodations available to offer in hotel rooms that try to address any number of guests needs, and I recognize how thoughtful and thoroughly this room has been considered and thought through. Kudos to the management and maintenance team on this. 2. See the attached letter. Good on the local management for trying to address changes in corporate policy that haven't been welcomed by customers, based on feedback. Loyalty and hotel stay policies are adjusted all the time based on market demands. I suspect some of these policies, too, will change in the future, for better or worse. Overall the hotel is very well adorned, nicely laid out, clean and updated. The rooms are clean and modern, and they have a nice restaurant and a separate bar/lounge that's very nice with a modern gas fireplace. Great hotel and at a great value.

We loved our stay here. The rooms were clean and the front desk was super friendly! We were sad the pool was down for maintenance, but we understand things have to be maintained to be kept nice.

So confusing when booking. Free breakfast if you book this way, but only applies if you book it this way, Rooms with snack, sometimes you get them, then sometimes you don't. The manager is one of the best, her staff needs work.

Checked in around 11pm Dierdra and front desk extremely friendly. Walking distance to airport. Very Clean hotel, not sure what other reviewers possibly saw but it was extremely well maintained. Very comfortable bed and nice shower. Love the chocolate chip cookie! Should’ve asked for more! 😊 Yes there were cheaper hotels, you definitely get what you pay for and well worth it at this Doubletree.

If you need a room by the airport this is the place, even if you don't need one in the airport this place is a must. The main floor is kind of confusing but the hotel is very clean, love the decor, food was really good (would recommend asking for the truffle seasoning on the bicen berger. If you get it, I think it would really make the Burger pop) staff was above and beyond. Rooms were very relaxing

My room was the same .It took long time to heat up.Had no luck for room Service I guess short staffed ..Had to go down order my food at the bar...Food is very good..

Excellent hotel. Best breakfast offerings I’ve had so far during my 2023 business travels. I had a few room issues. I reported them and hopefully they will be corrected for the next guest. Guests, please report room issues as you are the ones experiencing the rooms and gain the best knowledge of the room issues.

Checked in after midnight before an early flight out. The price was comparable with other hotels nearby, but the service was above and beyond. The late night staff was amazing for my wife and daughter and me. Our daughter was loaded up with a snack bag for our flights the next day. The shuttle to the terminal was literally available as soon as we checked out, and picked us up on our return as soon as we had our baggage. I wish we had remembered the staffs names to thank them personally. Highly recommended.

I stayed here, while on a business trip, and it was quite nice. I would say that this Double Tree was much less dated than others I have stayed at. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food and good cocktails. The shuttle to the airport was pleasant and timely. It could not have been better, and the price was very reasonable.

Good location, just across the Wichita KS airport. The rooms are average but the staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast had a decent selection. Overall a good experience and would definitely consider staying here again

I've been going back to this hotel twice a year since 2006. Being strategically located near the airport and Flight Safety Simulator facilities, it's the natural choice for most crew travelling from overseas. The rooms are slowly improving, but the in-room heating/air conditioning units are extremely noisy and must be turned off at night in order to get some sleep. The gym is in desperate need of a full remake: crampy small space, and 2 aerobics machines out of the 4 installed have been out of order for ages. There is a very small pool, not big enough for laps, which is used mostly as playground for kids. The breakfast buffet used to be the highlight of the facility, but even though Covid-19 restrictions have been cancelled mostly everywhere else, here they are still in place. So no buffet. The only two waitress on duty cannot possibly cater to the bunch of people in a rush who try to get breakfast and go to work. Also the kitchen is either super slow or under staffed. The result is that about 45 minutes must be accounted for if you want to have breakfast there. Last time I ordered room service I had to pay additional 20$ to the bill, just for the service.

Some of the rooms are becoming a little dated with the older hotel theme taking over, but always clean when I stay here. The front desk and cleaning staff are always courteous and cheery. The location is great for my travels into and out of Wichita, definitely recommend and I will stay here again.

I couldn't be more thrilled with our recent stay at the Wichita Double Tree hotel. My daughter was having a very bad day due to a flight cancellation, and she was very emotional. During our check in, the staff went out of their way to ask if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable, connected with my daughter, gave her encouragement, and lifted her spirits. It completely changed the outcome of our disastrous trip and changed my daughter's entire existence in that moment. Everything about this location sets the standard for other hotels. The rooms, staff, and amenities are all first class.

As I was checking in I noticed that there was some confusion with my room rate, no fault of Hilton. Deidre S. was kind enough to take the time to explain the situation and I now have enough information to take this back to my company and have them look into the system issue. I really appreciated her being knowledgeable and sharing the information. Great customer service is just one reason I'm Hilton Loyal!

Another really nice hotel with a great restaurant and bar downstairs. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It’s located right next to the airport which is actually pretty nice. We were just passing through and didn’t wanna have to deal with the downtown rush so we went to this location and it was just perfect.

My first time staying in Kansas for work and I picked this hotel to stay at. The hotel is very nice. Clean room. They gave me a cookie that was so delicious when I checked in. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is there is a charge for continental breakfast of 9.99, but I felt like what they are offering for continental breakfast is just basic breakfast food that most other hotels give you for free. The other breakfast is 16.99 and that is worth it. You can get an omelette made your way, bacon, chicken sausage, hash browns, biscuit and gravy etc. Overall, I would stay here again.
