Nice looking lobby. Breakfast was just okay But it did have a lot of great choices. Sausages, chicken fried steak gravy. Eggs and eggs with ham, waffles breads and fruits. Bed was firm with a few lumps but okay to sleep in. Nice size room with microwave refrigerator. Parking lot was VERY well lit. Stayed in room 315. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the housekeeper knocked on my door at 9:00 a.m. on my day of checkout. Unacceptable 😳 Check out was 12:00 p.m.

This hotel is a solid 2. Just keep in mind you get what you pay for. If you just need a place to stay it should be fine. Pros- fairly clean, no roaches, good size room, microwave, fridge, decent price, it has free breakfast and coffee, close to a bunch of restaurants. Cons- thin walls, noisy, not enough towels, breakfast is edible but below average, staff is a little below average, toiletries and bedding below average. All what you would expect out of a two star hotel.

Maintenance was called twice for a toilet issue. We asked for a new room at 10pm, they said none were available. At 2am the toilet overflowed. Given a new room at 3am. When we checked out the next day, the lady at the front desk was incredibly nice and took my info for a manager to call. Haven't received one. The second floor smelled and the breakfast area was so hot it was almost unbearable to be there. This was my first, and last time booking with a Best Western. I will stick with Hilton hotels, and the Hyatt in Wichita.

I am extremely OCD about cleanliness & I expect my room to be updated in style & wear & tear! I read the reviews to be honest a few that made me nervous but we was only staying one night & it was close to the wedding we were attending so we booked it! I was pleasantly impressed! When we came in they were busy a gentleman said we will be right with you, please help yourself to a cookie & a drink! Once the young lady got off the computer & was helping get the other guest what he was asking about, he jumped in and got us checked in made conversation w/ us as he checked us in! Very friendly , I wish I had paid attention to his name! So he could know how much we appreciated him making us feel welcomed! We got to our room, it was extremely clean considering we asked for a early check in, to get ready for the wedding we were attending!! The furnishings were nice and carpet was stain free and clean as well. We are looking forward to breakfast in the morning before we head out for our 6 hour drive home. It's a bonus that there was a quick trip across the street to get a few midnight snacks and restaurants within walking distance! 😊♥️

The lady at the front counter was great, and the breakfast was adequate. The bed was super comfortable, which was great after spending the day with my kids. Advanced check-in was awesome and only took us a few short minutes to pick up the keys for our room. This was helpful because we were on a time schedule. Huge plus we will stay again.

Being billing for a hotel room that was already paid for and they ending up putting a hold my card dec 24, 2022 for indecentials and then when I checked out Dec 26,2022. I asked when I should get my deposit back, responded back by saying 2-3 days. Then I watched my card and on Dec 28 2022, they ended up charging my card for 2 night stay instead, which was already paid for on priceline. I called and talked to a gentleman (Manager in the morning) and said he would get it taken care of on Friday Dec 29, 2022 and would send me a email also. I never received anything. So I called back 2 hours later and he was gone and left my email and number again with the woman that actually checked me out that morning and found out that gentleman would not be back till Monday Jan 2, 2023. I called Jan 2, 2023 and the gentleman answered and said it was processed over the weekend. I told him I never received an email and asked me for my email because he didn't have it, which is confusing, because I gave it to him and the other 2 people I talked to later that left it for him. I had talked to him at 8:40am Jan 2, 2023 and it's now 11:02 am and still no email. So, I called the Best western Corp number and made a complaint and received a ticket number and verified all my info about the stay and all. I will be calling everyday Tull I receive their email for my refund back. I will be also calling the better business bureau in Wichita and reporting it to them also.

Our family needed to book eight rooms for a family emergency with several of us flying in from various other states. Julie worked with me to get each of us accommodated. The hotel is a great location close to the airport and a variety of local restaurants. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and very affordable. The front desk staff were all very courteous and helpful, several family members had flight time changes due to weather and the reception team did an exceptional job adjusting to meet everyone’s needs. Julie did an awesome job coordinating. Thank you for making a difficult weekend for our family a little easier.

On our motorcycle trip from Richmond VA to the Grand Canyon and back, we've stayed in almost a dozen hotels, so far. We usually like to stay in the smaller, independent hotels, but tonight, we are in the Best Western in Wichita, KS! Great choice! Check in was a breeze. The nice lady at the desk was helpful with suggestions of places to eat. Our room was very spacious and bright. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was good. The free Continental Breakfast in the morning was one of the best we've been served on a trip with a huge selection of pastries, waffles eggs, sausage, oatmeal, toast muffins and juices. We were able to fill our belly before a long day on the road. The only complaint, and nothing really to do with the hotel, was, unbeknownst to us, we had an adjoining room filled with a handful of female partiers. Several shrieks, loud talking and laughing prompted me to turn on Spotify to my noise blocker podcast saved, just for this occasion. Slept through the night, all was good.

The day we arrived in Wichita at ICT, we called the front desk multiple times and kept getting put on hold for at least 15 minutes or being hung up on. We eventually called enough times and got one of them to actually talk to us and requested an airport shuttle. Arrived to see a white and black lady behind the front desk just chatting away. The next day, we turned in the key cards to checkout before 12pm and requested shuttle service back to a car rental by the airport. We get a call later from front desk telling us she still saw us checked in and we might get charged for checking out late. Unbelievable! We told them that we checked out before 12pm and the shuttle driver even drove us to the airport right after we checked out! We're Best Western Diamond members and normally have great service from Best Westerns. This is the first time we've had such a negative experience from one.

I stayed for 4 days. Location was convenient to the airport and local shops. The room and bed were comfortable, and the pool was good. The bathtub had mold in the shower and tub, but otherwise a great stay. Most of the staff were great. I was surprised at 1 am when the shuttle bus driver set my luggage in the driveway and watched me struggle with it. I wished I had waited to tip him as it would have cost him only 30 seconds to be kind and get a luggage cart. I would stay again as the majority of my stay was pleasant and I felt safe.

Located in the heart of our activities, this hotel was clean and staffed by helpful people. Despite some maintenance issues (one elevator not working, pool filtration not working), they switched our rooms for a plumbing issue and both rooms were clean and neat. Staff noted the maintenance issues we reported and were visible on the premises at all times, not hiding in the back like other hotels. Would definitely stay again- great accommodations for the price.

This hotel is a great value. Friendly, efficient staff. Big refrigerator in the room was a plus. The breakfast had a very good selection and was continually being restocked during a busy period. Clean, quiet at night and located about 7 minutes from downtown. Would stay here again.

When I was searching for a room, I looked at this hotel and liked the reviews and hoped for the best. We have stayed at some in the past (best western)and enjoyed them . We were in town for a relative's birthday party. Rachel and Wendy were the employees that I interacted with. The customer service, professionalism is outstanding. Very accommodating and approachable. We will definitely stay when we return

We were there for 3 nights. Tv wouldn’t switch inputs told the front desk when we left for the day and it was fixed when we came back. I didn’t get her name but the woman at the front desk was so polite and helpful! Only thing was one day they forgot to leave towels after cleaning but that’s not a big deal. It was a busy place and bummer there was only 1 working elevator..but again not a big deal. Would definitely stay again.

I stay in a hotel 5 nights a week for work and with that, I have been in some really shoddy ones. Bestwestern has always been a pretty good bet on being clean, comfortable, and great amenities. A few occasions I've had minor issues but usually with the coffee maker in the lobby. It gets used so much I think it's hard to keep it stocked.

I stayed one night here. My room contained previous occupant’s items (such as a bottle of Pepsi left in the fridge), which made me question how clean it was, but nothing was visibly grungy or dirty. Provided amenities were nice. The room itself was well decorated and the heating unit worked great. The internet is SUUUPER good here and processed downloads at lightning speed. Overall a good place for a brief stay.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for a good breakfast in the morning. In fact that is why we stayed here during our trip. Spent a couple of nights here. However, here are the negatives from the stay: hallways need carpets cleaned, toilet in our room leaked onto the floor every few hours, low water flow shower, TV was not watchable because the picture was pink, fridge didn't work and our food spoiled, room smelled of smoke despite being a non-smoking room. Even considering these issues, we might stay again and try to get a different room just so we can enjoy the breakfast here.

Came home for my nephew's home going, the staff was very pleasant & accommodating to the family, the location was great, close to the airport. The rooms where nice & clean, only complaint I asked housekeeping to return after we finished dressing & they didnt come back & clean my room. The breakfast could of been better, no variety. But overall We all enjoyed our stay.

We stayed a week and I would say that the beds probably need replacement as we had three groups of family there and everybody said the same thing about the beds. Only problem was last night the water went out and we really didn't know anything about it we were sick in our room and we found out by calling them they told us plumber was there so we figured we'd have water well it never came on and it would have been nice if somebody had brought up some water so we could at least use the toilet. Other than that I would stay here again if the beds were redone. A one-night stay would be okay but for long-term it was hard. 01/20/23 the GM reached out to us and comped the last night which was nice, and replied to my submission so he generally seemed to right what was wrong n noted the beds.

Staff were very nice. The hotel was a little on the dingy side. Both my wife and I could smell a sour order on our beds. The traffic noise was terrible on our side of the hotel.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was decent. Coffee was bland. The bed in the room was fine. Bathroom was clean. Very good lighting in the parking lot. I would say very good bang for the money.

This is without a doubt the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I booked a stay online and paid in advance and then was charged again for my stay at the hotel. At first, the clerk at the front desk told me not to worry about it and that only one charge would go through. I stupidly believed her. After a week, both charges went through. I’ve called Best Western’s corporate offices and the hotel I stayed at and no one has gotten back to me with a refund. The corporate office confirmed I paid online, but hasn’t even bothered returning me my refund from the hotel. The front desk lady who told me not to worry about the two charges initially told me over the phone later when I complained that she couldn’t see proof of my online charge even though my records and back statements clearly show I was charged. I emailed her this proof and still haven’t heard back from her. I’ve been trying to get in contact with the hotel’s manager for two weeks and no one has gotten back to me. Apparently he is only in on Monday mornings and I work during that time. This hotel will scam you and treat you like you’re stupid and not bother to fix the problem. Don’t book here. You’re better off at a motel. I’ll see them in small claims court over a messily $159 charge. Really petty.

What needs work- No recognition as Diamond member. Two elevators only one worked, and no out of service sign. Other elevator so slow! No one monitored the breakfast. No eggs, potatoes looked dry, and very little gravy for biscuits. We left and went out to breakfast. What was great, our room was clean and comfortable. Parking was good, and cookies were wonderful.

Stayed in room 211 on Thursday, 1/12, and left a hoodie in the room. Called several times with promises of a callback, but never received one. On my 5th call someone finally checked lost and found (not sure why this wasn’t possible the other times I called) and was told the item wasn’t there. I came to town for a funeral and had one change of clothes, and changed out of the hoodie in the morning. It was there. Be warned, do a thorough check before you leave because it’s likely you’ll never get your item back or anyone here will care. Their high rating is misleading. Hotel is run down and in need of repairs and updating. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Clean linen/towels is the only positive from my experience.

Was very clean. Also the staff was very nice. The breakfast had a lot to choose from. It was centrally locate to everything that me and my husband did. If we are in the area again we will be staying here.

This is THE WORST hotel experience I have EVER had. 1st; when we got their they said we were already checked in. The front desk staff ended up calling the room and then personally going to said room to verify we HAD NOT checked in and no one else was in the room under our name. 2nd; when we were finally settled another party showed up with keys to our room and said it was their room. HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?!?!?!? 3rd; the second evening, of our two night stay, our toilet overflowed. The front desk was utterly unhelpful. The phone didn't work so we couldn't notify the front desk from our room, so we had to go in person, and if we had not had quick thinking and turned off the water to the toilet; besides the nearly 2" of standing water in the bathroom, flowing into the little entry way and flooding into the room past the first bed, I can't even IMAGINE how many more gallons of water would have poured out of the non-stop running toilet. 4th; because of said water issue we needed a new room but the front desk "could not do anything until maintenance arrived," which I understand, however over AN HOUR later when he came they still could not tell us if we could get a new room. ***I will also note even if the above 4 issues had not been of primary concern the hotel would have gotten a 3 Star. It is quite worn, the pool had algae in it (why was the OUT DOOR pool not covered and properly drained?), one of the outdoor doors didn't have a key pad so you could not scan yourself back in and in general the area is on the questionable side with vagabonds all around the block by the hotel/gas station/Taco John's, multiple panhandlers under the bridge.*** We left and got a room at La Quinta. A bit down the road, a bit more expensive but clean, well maintained, up to date and offering continental breakfast as well.

Nothing at this hotel is especially terrible but nothing Is above average either. It sits close to a highway but the noise is muffled by the in wall/window air conditioner. The staff I came in contact with was not rude but not especially pleasant either. The furnishings and carpet are a bit shabby, the morning coffee and breakfast below average and there is not an Applebees or above burger/beer bar in walking distance. Overall I have no anger and my stay was ok. I just would search elsewhere next time and cannot agree with Google or Expedia’s 4 plus stars

  • 4/5 Patrick R. 1 year ago on Google
Bloody expensive - room listed at $111 per night including taxes and fees per hotel receipt; Orbitz charged $134.99 per night - $23 more - this is getting into rip-off territory. Be careful when you book so you know what you are going to be charged! Otherwise, good accommodation, great breakfast, good location to get anywhere in west Wichita

This is our second time staying in this hotel. Our large group had a few issues last year, but decided to give the hotel another chance. Big mistake. First, when calling to reserve a room I tried calling several times with no answer. Once someone did answer, I was told TWICE that the person who answered the phone didn't know how to do that and I would have to call back the next day. Next, the check in process was terrible. Rooms were mixed up. Keys were given to two different people for the same rooms. We had a boys who walked into a room to find a woman already in there. Not ok. One family had a room reserved and they were told the hotel was full when they went to check in. They had to drive around to find somewhere else to stay. After checking in we found out that several of us were checked in twice and charged for TWO rooms. One was marked as a no show like we didn't show up and one was marked as checked in. This was reversed, but not something any of us should have had to deal with. Then, we had two rooms with water issues. One was leaking from the toilet down through the floor then through the ceiling and light fixture of another room. When the front desk was notified she said we would have to wait until she was finished checking someone in. The person staying in that room ran back herself and turned the water off at the toilet. That should never be a guests responsibility. When maintenance arrived nearly two hours later we were still told by the front desk that they couldn't change rooms to another room because so many rooms were "closed" by maintenance and none were available. The families had to pack up at 8:30 at night and find another hotel away from our group. On top of all of these issues we found the front desk staff to be terrible at customer service. While dealing with these things they never apologized, never tried to make it right (aside from the double charges being fixed). The evening staff sat there slouched over in their seats and barely even looked up from their computer when talking to us. Outside the hotel we experienced several people in the parking lot that made us nervous to have our children there. Police were there searching for someone as well. This hotel needs some MAJOR improvements in plumbing, customer service, and security. If you're in and out for a quick overnight you may have a good experience. If you're looking for somewhere for a group or family to stay for a day or two I would definitely look elsewhere.

Overall, the hotel just looks and feels tired. The beds are very lumpy, the room furniture very beaten up, and the carpets throughout the hotel need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned. In the room, the sink stopper didn't work, there was chewing gum on the floor, and the toilet seat was broken There are 2 elevators and only 1 worked during my stay. The ice machine was broken on the upper floor so all ice needed to be retrieved from the 1st. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

  • 3/5 Stephani W. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. The 3 star rating is for the terrible throw pillows on the king sized bed. I rolled off them every time I moved throughout the night. They don’t offer any larger pillows, so consider bringing one of your own. I wonder if the person purchasing considered anything but the price or if they have ever slept on them personally.

  • 4/5 Shelly S. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel appears to be going through some remodeling so it is a little rough in the hall ways with wallpaper falling down but the rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is good with hot and cold items to munch on. Located right off the highway so easy access to anywhere in the city quickly.

  • 3/5 Catherine G. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was nice. The continental breakfast was not the best, but it was edible. The hotel, overall, was pretty outdated. However, it was clean and comfortable enough to stay for a few nights. What I loved the most is that it was in close proximity to many gas stations and fast food restaurants.

  • 5/5 Ryan C. 1 year ago on Google
Outside is worn down and ugly, but inside is VERY clean. Lobby and room were both very clean, which is appreciated. Staff was attentive. Breakfast was abnormally extensive, for a free breakfast - loved that. There was obviously large group of teenage softball players in the building, but we appreciated that we were put on the other end of the hallway from them, where it was quite.
