First of all, the hospitality of the staff and their willingness to be accommodating were top-notch. The front desk was beyond helpful in assisting me to find a room last minute. Additionally, the building was beautiful, which was entirely unexpected. I am from out of state, and I went here purely out of convenience; I had no idea that I’d be receiving one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be staying here in the future if I ever find myself in the area. 10/10, HIGHLY recommend.

I spoke to several hotels in Wichita to get a room block for my son’s wedding and to have a space for a “Meet & Greet” after the rehearsal. It got narrowed down to 2 hotels. I chose Hotel at Old Town because of the unique character of the hotel, the honesty of the staff (they would tell me if they knew they couldn’t do something but would offer me other options if available), and their competitive prices. I believe we ended up with 14 rooms in our block plus the space for the party. We were thrilled with the outcome and received many compliments from others in our party about how awesome it was! Many of us enjoyed the atrium too! Thank you Renee for all your help along with the entire staff!

This hotel has the best location, close to numerous restaurants, activities, and coffee places. The rooms were maybe a little bigger than average size but seemed much larger due to the high ceilings. The bathrooms were spacious. The decor is great and we loved the vintage feel. Everything seemed clean. I'm not sure if we just didn't have anyone in the rooms next to us or the walls are thicker than most hotels, but we didn't hear ANY noise from neighbors or the hallway. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in/out was a breeze. We didn't eat breakfast there, which was $15 a person and looked like it was pretty standard hotel breakfast fare. It was a great stay!

Our stay was excellent! Check in was easy and the hotel staff was absolutely perfect! The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and breweries that are within a short walk. Our next stay in this are will definitely include a stay! Overall, I would rate or stay 10 stars!

Hotel at Oldtown is the best. So close to EVERYTHING in Downtown Wichita. The Hotel is a beautiful restoration and so elegantly done. Peaceful is the best word to describe the ambiance. The artwork on each floor (and next to the elevators) is unique and historic Wichita. We really enjoyed staying here and will do so again on our future returns.

Jacuzzi suite. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Overcharged, and not worth the price. The hotel is beautiful and it's in a great area, but not at all what I paid for. The TV didn't work. The staff was very nice and took the time to fix it, but it shouldn't have been a problem to begin with. Housekeeping walked in the room way before checkout while we were trying to get dressed. Overall, it wasn't a great experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and well appointed, with very nice rooms, high ceilings and comfortable beds. Great location. I stay here regularly on business trips, but have consistently been treated rudely by the staff so much that I'm probably not going to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel! Love the Old Town feel, the rooms a beautiful, the lobby is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. Check-in, check-out, and access to the hotel is simple. Hot coffee/tea available every morning in the lobby. Everything else you need is within walking distance.

This place was awesome. Our room was giant with beautiful large windows, an old victorian feel and the biggest jacuzzi tub I've ever seen. We checked in late and both of the receptionists were polite and answered all our questions. The location of this hotel is smack dab in the middle of a very cool area with lots of restaurants, bars, live music, and markets. Parking was easy in the garage behind the hotel. I highly recommend staying here. It's a lovely little gem in Wichita!

Everything was great except the foyer remodeling, which was substantial. Getting to the reception desk was like walking through a maze. The place was quiet, though. The room was everything a hotel room should be: clean, comfortable, odorless, arid, and quiet (on a Monday night). Loved the location, in old town Wichita. Walking distance to many restaurants, etc. Unfortunately, there were more sketchy people (homeless likely) milling about the area than I had expected, but they didn’t cause me any trouble.

This Hotel has really gone down over the last few years. A few years ago my husband and I stayed for our anniversary, it was great. Our recent overnight here for our anniversary was awful, we had a jacuzzi suite, first walk through of the room, it was dirty, there was a pillow covered in whatever it was, it was disgusting. The fridge had grease on it, there was tape on the walls. When we went to use the jacuzzi there was red/ pink fuzz that came up from it, and a dirty bottom of it, so who knows how long it's been since that's been clean. We had no robes as we did last time, the front desk did not care. I had checked prices for our room the day we checked in and it was 100 cheaper so I asked if that could be changed from our booking price, or if I needed to cancel and rebook it for that price, she said it would be fixed at check out, it was not.

The city parking garage where you park for the hotel apparently has surveillance, but my car was broken into. Although labeled as hotel parking, they do not have access to the surveillance videos. The front desk staff was not helpful or even sympathetic about the situation. The rooms are affordable and beautiful, and very Victorian.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel, honestly. A modern classic w/ 3 star pricing and 5 star quality. Also, great service from the front desk attendant, Alicia! Thanks for the lovely stay.

My husband took me for my birthday weekend. The hotel was immaculate and beautiful. The kitchen in our room was a total bonus, the refrigerator has an ice maker!!! Sweet!!! We enjoyed the interesting historic displays throughout the hotel. We had a great night at the piano bar. The bartender, Steve, says he makes the best Old Fashioned in Wichita...and he proved it!!! 10 out of 10!!! We wished we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back!

Good service, nice large hotel rooms, but the HVAC didn’t work great. Had the thermostat set to 72 and I was very cold where I usually sleep at 64 when I’m home. Needed more blankets too and the pillows were way too puffy. Shower was messed up and it was impossible to adjust the temperature to a good spot. The overall design and accommodations at the hotel were nice, and the bartender was great (although the drinks were not).

Average hotel with below average service. Great location and ok rooms. However the room was not serviced any of the 3 night I stayed there. My room was ground floor overlooking the bar area and although I immediately asked to be moved to another room I was told they could not because I had booked via expedia - even though I later learned the hotel had low occupancy the week I was there. The breakfast is poor quality for a $15 upchage - I would advice to go to the great breaks fast place over the road. The one day I had breakfast, I found when I checked out they had charged me for two people !! That couldn’t be fixed right then at check out for some reason so had to be dealt with later. All in all a very underwhelming stay. But definitely a great location

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel just steeped in history. I was surprised to know that it wasn't originally a hotel it was a tool factory and all of that history is located inside this building absolutely beautiful location. It's right in the middle of Old Town so much to walk around and see it's wonderful place for a weekend getaway for your vacation with your family it's just amazing.

I've stayed here, probably 6x. I am a local. This is my "Moms get-away", when I come here. I am a special needs mother and hadn't had a break, in 3 years. I got a suite with the Jacuzzi. It was A M A Z I N G. 10/10. ALWAYS RECOMMEND this hotel! If you're a tourist- stay here! It's worth every penny, beds are HUGE/SOFT, AND amazing breakfast. 👏

Living our stay at Hotel at Old Town! Rooms are comfortable and real. Location is perfection, within walking distance to so many day and night attractions. Highly recommend for business or pleasure travel.

This is a wonderful hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Big bathrooms and kitchen were convenient for us traveling with a toddler. Very happy with it.

Live jazz on Saturday night. Cozy intimate setting. Bartender is excellent, fast and knowledgeable. Highly recommend to start off a date night (jazz ends at 9). Right in the heart of old Town so you can walk to your next spot. Plenty of parking. Liked the place so much I booked a room for my in laws over Christmas. Prices on the rooms are excellent as well!

Wonderful stay. Beautiful, historical building. Apperantly, it's 116 years old. Clean spacious rooms with a kitchenette. They have awesome soap bars 😁 the staff is very friendly and helpful, from reception to housekeeping. Beautifully decorated lobby with nightly live music, an indoor decorative pool. Excellent location, walking distance to a ton of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Hidden Gem. We loved our stay. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. Only down fall was breakfast wasn't included in price of stay. And frankly what was served is exactly what can get at hotels that offer complimentary breakfast. So we checked out and went somewhere to eat. More options if gonna pay 15.00 a person. Other than that loved our stay.

My husband and I travel with the railroad, I’ve seen my fair share of hotels. This hands down was the BEST experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious, their beautiful view of the downtown, restaurants close. We will definitely be staying again

What a great hotel. Courteous staff that makes sure you are taken care of. Fantastic rooms with old school high ceilings and huge windows looking out over Old Town! A really neat old building with charm and class. The best place to stay in Wichita hands down.

Attended a wedding nearby and this was where everyone stayed. Absolutely beautiful venue with cool antiquey rooms that are gorgeously redone but still have that old time feel to them. Everything was very clean and functional and it was very quiet in the rooms even though the hotel was full and old town was quite busy. Highly recommend!

Stayed there last night for an anniversary in a one bedroom king suite. When we first walked into the room it was very nice. Found a small burn from an iron on the carpet but nothing out of the ordinary. Later that evening we were using the jacuzzi tub we got a phone call, and were told we were not allowed to use the jacuzzi anymore due to flooding on the floor below. The front desk staff informed us that we would have to move rooms for the night. The front desk staff member that brought us our new room keys did comp our room for the night but also had informed us that the rooms in that corner always seem to flood the bottom floors whenever you use water.

I was in town to for a girls night and the location was ideal. The building has been transformed into a beautiful hotel. I love the character and history of the property. The room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive. Saturday morning I walked over to the Farm and Art market and enjoyed some shopping. It was a great weekend and I look forward to staying there again.

Great location, rude customer service, and really steep prices for no breakfast despite google stating they have it. I arrived and when checking in had the front desk emphasize signing the no smoking policy and send me off to my room on the third floor without directing me to the elevators. Instead her and a cohort laughed at me going the wrong way then directed me to the elevator. Later I saw other check ins getting a pamphlet and map of the area, a courtesy I wasn't worthy of I suppose. They put me in a room with a bright streetlight peering in and no blackout curtains to hide it... very disappointed in this experience.

  • 2/5 Nicolas A. 2 years ago on Google
Not as good as others are saying: -Parking is in a detached garage. You have to go to the top, take an elevator down, and then go into the hotel. Not convenient at all. -Shower water pressure is non existent. Shower head is attached. Cannot get properly clean. They have flyers in the room explaining that this is for an environmental cause, "saving the world." -As another review eluded to, it's noisy. You can hear doors slamming, people talking, and above all, water and or elevator related noises. I can hear the humming of the room through my pillow too. -TV is small at 43 inches. I can barley see the on screen guide from my bed. -Maid randomly banged on my door, at 9:00am in the morning, before the 12pm checkout time. I have never had this happen before. The pro is that the rooms are large, made of concrete and brick, and are of high quality. Overall, this is not a 5 star hotel.

We had a corporate retreat at the hotel. It was lovely! My room was so clean and very inviting. We visited several local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The perfect spot for a corporate get-away!

If you’re thinking about hunkering down and watching movies or any tv, forget it! Smart TV’s for mirroring devices just a suggestion.

Our staff gathered in Wichita for an annual meeting, and the staff at Hotel at Old Town wonderfully received us! The rooms were comfortable and clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. We've already booked our rooms for next year!

We really enjoyed staying here. It was a great location, very clean, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We liked the touches of history that were included in the decor. We were able to walk to dinner each night because there were plenty of options nearby. Free parking in the garage next door was very appreciated as well. Our room was quiet, despite the hotel being nearly at capacity. No continental breakfast or pool, which were the only downsides, but for our trip, it was exactly what we needed!

  • 3/5 Susan M. 1 year ago on Google
Our 2 day stay was highly anticipated. The room was as described and the beds are quite comfortable. The hotel either does not provide cleaning each day or we were skipped. We had no fresh towels, no trash emptied, nothing was addressed. For a high-end charge I do expect an equal level of service. I requested a trash bag at the front desk as all the tiny trash cans were over flowing. The front desk asked how big of bag we wanted, as if this was a normal request. I am the person that will thank staff in the hall for a taking pride in their work, for making my stay comfortable, as I have done their job in my younger days. Not a single member of the cleaning staff was seen on our floor until we were heading to check out. Granted, we were on the go throughout the day. But doesn't that give you more opportunity to get in a room and complete the basics? Disappointing is a mild description of the stay.

  • 4/5 Ian C. 1 year ago on Google
We really enjoyed our stay. The huge window in the room and great historical touches to the room and around the hotel were top notch. There were two issues that were more about personal preference. First there was no counter space in our room in the bathroom. It might have just been in the room we had since it was handicapped accessible, which we were not in need of. The other issue was it was a bit noisy from people walking around shouting outside. Not necessarily the hotel’s fault. On the plus side it was super clean and the staff were friendly.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! It's a nice little old fashioned style hotel. Sadly it is not haunted. Would of been interesting that's for sure! The beds were quite comfortable and nice set up of the rooms. The room in stayed in also had a small kitchen!

  • 5/5 Shane R. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel at Old Town was a great looking, wonderfully styled hotel for my recent stay. Within walking distance of plenty of great dining locations, as well as plenty of available parking in the adjoining parking garage. The room was decently sized, comfortable and the temperature was fine as well. The staff that I interacted with was friendly, and I would have no issues staying here again as well as recommending to friends.

  • 5/5 Matthew P. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel huge room and one of the biggest jacuzzi tubs I have ever seen. I was unlucky this time around and wasn’t able to stay due to a family emergency and had to check out after a few hours. I was told the manger wouldn’t charge me for the room. In mist of some horrible news they understood and was very nice and helpful. Once I got home and realized I left my Apple Watch in my room, the overnight staff was kind enough to go found it in my room and get in the mangers hands so I can have it shipped to me.

Renee Price was great to work with. We did room blocks and our honeymoon suite. The space is awesome. I stayed Friday and therefore it allowed guys to have a place to chill and get ready Saturday before ceremony, so much room in their suites.

Gorgeous “Old” Hotel. I’m excited to see the finished results after the renovations. Staff was super polite. The room was nice, bed was super comfortable. Great place to stay downtown if you’re into original fashioned Hotels.

A great hotel; with full-amenity rooms, in a great location near lots of restaurants and shops, and had great customer service. My girlfriend left her necklace in the hotel and the front desk let us back in after check-out no problem. 👍 When we come back through Kansas we are staying here!

  • 5/5 Nick C. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely a very neat and awesome Hotel located in the downtown area which was beautiful nice brick roads that are kept up, and even for the building looking 116 years old it looked phenomenal they've done a great job keeping it in good shape! Staff was very awesome and friendly may have parking out back and a parking garage, all in all one of the better hotels I've stayed in!!

Everything was fantastic: staff, cleanliness, efficiency, rooms, accommodations. Best night sleep in a long time! Rooms had everything you could thing of with awesome character to the hotel.

  • 5/5 Tania G. 1 year ago on Google
We had a wonderful experience staying here! There’s excellent wifi, staff were very helpful, the best location in Wichita right at the heart of downtown surrounded by restaurants. Rooms were very spacious, and has a kitchenette that we need for long stays. They give out travel nurse rates, the price is just the same as booking an apartment, but here you get hotel service and a super comfortable bed. Also worth mentioning that hospital work was just 5mins drive. They got everything we need! I would highly recommend!

Stayed on the 3rd floor in a suite. Bit of noise outside could be heard on the street until early in the morning. Room was pretty nice though. We left our chargers there by mistake. The front desk says they retrieved them and we could pick them up when we got back into town as long as it was within 30 days. A week later they had "thrown them away." Bit disappointed with that.

We had a great stay at the hotel at old town, everything was very nice, the rooms were spacious and clean. The decor and lighting is a bit dark, but overall it was a good experience.
