I
checked
in
late
afternoon
on
Sunday,
and
the
gentleman
behind
the
counter,
Bobby,
was
helping
a
gentleman
who
didn't
speak
English.
He
was
very
patient
with
him,
looked
him
in
the
eyes
when
he
spoke,
and
offered
genuine
smiles.
Witnessing
that
interaction
set
a
very
good
tone
for
my
visit.
The
hotel
itself
is
very
modern
and
bright.
It
offers
a
small
workout
room
and
outdoor
swimming
pool
on
the
main
floor.
There
is
a
laundry
room
on
the
4th
floor
right
off
the
elevator.
It's
$2.00
to
wash
and
$1.50
to
dry,
and
you
can
purchase
detergent
and
dryer
sheets
in
the
shop
next
to
the
front
desk.
My
room
was
on
the
very
end,
across
from
the
stairs.
It
was
very
quiet,
which
I
appreciated.
The
only
fault
with
the
room
is
no
closet.
Standard
layout
for
a
room.
I
had
a
king
bed,
which
was
very
comfortable.
It
had
a
permanent
rug
under
it,
like
glued
to
the
floor.
I
found
that
interesting.
There
was
a
nice
size
t.v.,
microwave,
and
mini
fridge
located
inside
the
dresser.
The
bathroom
was
a
good
size
and
had
an
anti-fog
mirror.
It's
the
little
things.
The
shower,
no
combo,
had
amazing
water
pressure.
Some
could
find
it
hard,
but
I
enjoy
the
pressure.
They
offer
a
continental
breakfast
with
a
couple
of
hot
options.
I've
always
thought
of
La
Quinta
as
a
nicer,
maybe
a
higher
end
hotel.
It
didn't
disappoint.
