We visited this area for a wedding. Booked months in advance. Chose this hotel for its indoor pool and breakfast for the 6 grandkids. Upon arrival, there was a typed note at the front desk stating the pool was closed! No text or email letting guests know ahead of time OR discount offered off the stay. This was not a sudden maintenance issue. It had been drained, and there had been work started on it several days before our arrival. Night manager seemed to not really care. Day manager was very sweet but didn't really know what to do. Next morning, coffee machine was broken! What?! We run a lodging facility ourselves and have run into these issues. We would go to town and buy coffee pots if we had to or give coupons for local coffee shops. Again, apologies, but no solutions. Room was worn looking. Nightlight was burnt out. Entry ceiling light had cover missing which we found on top of our microwave. We stay at HIE frequently, and were very disappointed in this facility. Again, staff was nice enough, just not trained on problem solving. We relocated to Home2Suites.

Room smelled like a mechanical room, A/C did not work well at all, and there were obvious signs that the room was not cleaned adequately such as goop on desk, bottle cap on floor near bed, and miscellaneous junk on floor. On the positive side, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay.

We are Diamond Elite IHG members that travel for work. We have stayed at hundreds of properties all over the country. This was the worst one I’ve seen in at least a year. Scuff marks on everything, black smudges all over walls, spills, stains, mold, and generally a filthy environment. It took 4 different rooms for me to finally find one that looked safe to sleep in. These are the rooms you would expect at a $59 per night hotel not $150! If you want to get your moneys worth, this is not the hotel. The stone on the outside of the hotel is falling off the building, the walls feel paper thin and you can hear other guests TVs and people walking around. Rooms are so way too dark and adds to the uncomfortable feeling knowing you can’t see the best and are surrounded by filth. Really unimpressed with this one.

I was traveling throughout the midwest for business three weeks ago. I arrived at approximatley 2:30 and was allowed to check-in early. The front desk assistant was nice and professional. The hotel was clean and no noise issues. I normally stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on the northeast side of Wichita, but following last December's experience, I decided to book at this loction. The Maize area is great and very clean. Since there's very little traffic in Wichita, staying on this end of town when I have cases on the east side of Wichita is no issue at all. The only thing I did not like was the eggs. This location did not have those folded omelets I usually see at all the HIE locations. They had scrambled eggs with spinach. Considering it's personal taste, I'm not removing a star. This is definitely where we will be staying when in the area for business.

This hotel needs updating BAD!! I would never stay here again. Very disappointed for I thought all ihg hotels are nice. The first room we were supposed to have had loose tiles on the bathroom floor. So we chose a different room. On the second night we heard a crash in the bathroom. The wall tiles fell off! I noticed the curtains were ripped, the zipper on bed bug mattress cover was broken, tile missing in the shower, holes in lamp shades and mix matching bulbs. Everything felt dirt. Beds are VERY soft (too old)? Please be warned. The only thing going for this hotel is polite staff

Too many items not working! Informed the pool and hot tub not available upon arrival, sign posted apologizing for coffee pots not working, we to our room and the refrigerator did not work, got in the shower and the shampoo/condition dispenser empty and not working. Breakfast was less than marginal. All around bad experience here.

The rooms are spacious, well decorated and best of all, the beds are comfortable. I have one suggestion regarding the outside of the hotel. The only entrance we could find was in front, which meant we had to carry our bags from the back parking lot to the front of the building(correction: I found out the next day that there was an entrance available through the back of the Holiday Inn). The lady at the check-in counter was courteous and helpful.

First room the A/C rattled terribly and the second room the tv didn’t work nor did the phones in the room. The place smells and looks like it hasn’t been renovated in about 20 years. Wi-Fi and internet are absolutely horrendous. Only good thing about it is the bed is fairly comfortable.

Love, love, love this hotel. It is very clean and quiet and in an excellent location with everything you could possibly need or want. We travel with 2 dogs, and this place has lots of fabulous grassy areas for them to do their business (please always pick up the poo) as well as sidewalks nearby for nice, safe walks. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Wichita.

Spotless hotel that feels like it was just built as it's very clean and up to date. Very comfortable beds with Keurig machines for coffee in the morning. Delicious breakfast bar with consistent service from start to finish. As well a perfect location in Wichita as it's close to many different things.
