Product is good but they fail to adhere to their advertised hours. Additionally trying to leave a negative review elsewhere gets you blocked from their social media! Edit to add this was this past Saturday, not today. So being closed Mondays doesn’t change the problem. And to suggest applying? Rude, definitely lost my families business and will let other people know how you deal with negative responses.

Not one for cancel culture personally but the owner made a racist comment on a Wichita Facebook group and instead of apologize deleted it, defended it, then ran away. Use to be a huge fan, now they’ve lost my business. This is good stuff! Many original and funky flavors to choose from. It is always a fun summer treat to have. My kids love it. They make their iced cones at a very good size for a good price. It is nice that they have a location on the east side and the newer Shaved Ice Plus, but it would be awesome to have a west location. Check them out for a cool, refreshing treat this summer.

Just moved to town and made a trip to Home Depot and stopped by about 8:30 and the young gentleman was so nice as he was cleaning up telling me about the stand. I didn’t want to trouble him and he insisted on me picking a flavor and didn’t charge me saying it was a welcome gift! The Green Hawaiian is so good! Thank you!!

If you want hollow in the middle. Big chunk of ice and nasty flavoring. This is a place for you. Do yourself a favor and go to Rock in Rico’s in Derby.

This was my go to place , but every time I decide to go I always check their hours to make sure they’re open. Online it says they are , but the last 3 times I’ve been to the s. rock location they weren’t . I Came to the reviews to see if this is a normal thing for them and it is , reading their reviews I was very shocked & disappointed by the unprofessional & rude responses to their customers feedback , they responded rudely to a customer that they’re not open on mondays but online it says they are so they either need to change their hours online or learn how to respond in a better manner. As a business owner you should value your customers feedback but as the “top rated in the Midwest” your clearly full of yourself. I’m sure my comment will probably blocked or deleted like previous comments . But that’s okay I just think the owner needs a lesson on how to treat customers. There’s plenty of other snow cone places just as good , with better customer service !

Visited on a busy afternoon and the employees closed the walk up window without even a word to customers like me who were already in line. Just taped a sign to the window saying they were short staffed, and to use the drive-through, and closed it. I didn’t bother getting in the drive-through line, and felt bad for the several families who had walked from the Y pool or the surrounding neighborhood to get shaved ice. I also was not pleased with how environmentally irresponsible it is to close a walk up window and leave a drive-through open. The response I received from the owner is more reason not to try going back.

My son and I took full advantage of the 104 degree day and popped down to Funky Monkey on Saturday to try to coo(down. He got the store flavor (banana and tiger's blood), and I got wedding cake with a cream top. DELICIOUS! The person at the window was nice and pleasant even in the heat. This is our 3rd trip to Funky Monkey and we'll be back for sure!

Shaved ice was very very good. Large amount served even in the medium size. Deliciously tasty, could give it a five star plus. Need to go back before Summer's over and they close it for winter. Don't miss it! I wish I had stopped and tried it sooner.

Perfect refreshing treat for a summer day! There are tons and I mean tons of choice when it comes to flavors! This isn’t your average shaved ice with the typical five flavors. We ordered the watermelon and spider man which were both very delicious! My son said he would rate it 6 stars if he could 😂 Give this place a try, you will love it! 🍧

This is the absolute BEST shaved ice in town. When I worked on the east side of town I would visit EVERY day. No exaggeration, it was my every day afternoon pick me up. The owner is so friendly and he would know what I wanted before I even got to the window. Living and working on the west side of town makes me miss this place sooo much!! Really wish you had a location downtown or the west side. I'd be seeing you every day again. And spending $5 for a cup of the best shaved ice EVER is way better than spending more than that on some fancy coffee that honestly isnt even that great. This is a "must stop" place for me when I do make it to the other side of town!

The only thing was they put way to much daiquiri I don't have much shaved ice because of it. I didn't notice it until we drove away and I took a 3 bites and realized that was all the ice I got. Next time when I buy me another one from them I'll make sure they don't put to much drink in it. I ended up feeling sick from all that juice drink I gave 5 star because I like the snow cones./cups. But not that much juice. I like more ice than the drink. One to two table spoons of the juice is fine with me just give me the ice.

Me and my sisters grabbed a pizza and enjoyed the patio with some shaved ice. It was actually very nice out with some music playing and a nice patio.

The only place in town that will make a salty dog for me! No other stands will! 6 stars in my opinion!! The girl was really nice!

During this pregnancy the cravings have been unreal. My husband is stopping by at least once a day for me. Keeps me and the baby happy.

The sno cones were fine, what was left of them anyway.... The service is what left me upset. I ordered 3 items and asked for a drink caddy. The young man putting the cups into the caddy did not push them down intn the holder. He just kind of sat them all ON it. So when exchanging hands, the sno cones went right into my lap, seat, steering wheel, floor board, etc. The guy had hurriedly closed the window right after letting go of the drink caddy so then I sat there tapping on the window to get more napkins.... I said the sno cones fell in my lap and he just stared at me and said "have a nice day." Maybe he didn't hear me... but he didn't ask for me to repeat myself. He didn't acknowledge that I said anything. I decided to just drive away rather than causing a scene. This was supposed to be a treat for my family visiting from out of town. Money wasted. I will not be back.

I recently found out that the funky monkey flavor has cinnamon in it and unfortunately for me I’m allergic to cinnamon.. I had gotten the funky monkey awhile back not knowing the flavors and had an allergic reaction that caused hives and my face to have a red rash around my mouth.. so I looked up the flavors and asked if I could get a Coconut, Banana, strawberry with cream top they do have a certain policy which I completely understanding. I explained my situation and she was so beyond sweet she said I can make the funky monkey no cinnamon not a problem and I’m just very thankful that I still get to enjoy the “funky monkey” I work in Andover and these delicious treats on a hot day are worth the small drive everyday. Thank you it was soooo delicious 😋 see you tomorrow! Lol
