If you are brave enough to go exploring, this park is a nature lover's dream. So many interesting plants and animals to photograph here! Bring a camera if that is your thing. Walk back into the woods & find little paths that are a bit uncharted. Be very careful though! Some of the trees have thorns. They are not small. We are talking giant 2 inch thorns! If it is wet, you will want to have some boots. Mind your step. This is a lovely little piece of nature in the city that you are sure to enjoy.

It's a lil stinky but it's still a nice place to walk, jog or just hang around with friends even.

Nice park. Linear path,However, there are many side trails that you take in along the river to explore. Nice place to unwind from work . It does get a bit buggy in the evening. Make sure to wear some bug spray.

Pleasant nature trek without having to drive too far. Saw a fair amount of wildlife. Dogs had a great time. Will be back.

This park is quite beautiful during seasons for the small flowers blooming there to see, or during/after a rain. Evergreen trees give a deep woodsy refreshing smell with a few honeysuckle bushes. The place has a LOT of trees (even though the area of the place itself is quite small), so that it reduces the noise or surrounding heavy traffic for Central & Maize streets. You will find deer relatively often. There are off-trails that deer originally made, that people now walk as well, for a more of an adventurous walk. A small but amazing park.

Nice park that’s well kept. The sidewalks are wide and open.

Good place to walk your dog, more fun to go when there are very few people there already if you want a chance to see plenty of deer up close. The entire loop has a quicker 30 minute walk time around and there's a longer route you can take if you need more scenery.

Went with my daughter to her Bear Scout meeting here tonight. All 5 of us walked around with everyone else identifying wildlife signs.

One of my absolute favorite parks to visit. The trails are lined with beautiful tall trees of all different kinds. There are lots of trails that you can follow off of the cement if you choose to. There’s also plenty of wildlife to see from owls to deer to raccoons and much much more. One of the best times to come out is in the summer evenings. You’ll see all sorts of wildlife and get beautiful views as you’re walking. This is also a common park for the rock painted group ICT area rocks to hide rocks at. Keep an eye open as you may be surprised at what you might find! Absolutely love this park!!

Pleasantly surprised, this park is deceiving! From the street it doesn't look like much, but the sidewalk leads you back into the wooded area with some nice walkways and views. It's a hidden gem in this suburban neighborhood. Saw several people walking their dogs and some couples on a stroll.

I loved this place a lot. It's quite calm and protected. You can find yourself connected with nature in the middle of the city life. The walkway is clean and maintained. Overall, it's a very gorgeous place.

The paths are nice. The thickets of trees and grass areas that surround the paths are perfectly beautiful. There are even deer that are easily spotted and lend an air of country seclusion in this park that is nestled in the midst of the city.

Was a beautiful park, and we loved the hiking trails. Plenty of wildlife to be seen, and lots of small dirt trails to branch off onto. Definitely have to watch out for poison ivy and poison sumac on the dirt trails that branch off.

We went to this park to participate in a guided native grass tour. Really enjoyable as neither of us are native Kansans. Learned a lot about flora and fauna.

Great spot to relax and take a stroll. Was once a place where Osage Native Americans lived and buffalo wallowed. If you keep quiet enough, you will see all sorts of wildlife. Lots of cool spots for photo ops, and you'll see portraits being taken on most nice days. Dog friendly, and they provide bags to pick up your dog's waste. Bring mosquito repellent during the summer months. My only complaints are that some dog owners don't use the bags, and people can't follow the rules. Bikes are not allowed, but are abundant, dogs running unleashed, and litter bugs. The good people that use the park keep it beautiful and tidy though.

I love walking in this park but I had my car window busted out midday. Nothing of value was in my car. Maybe cameras in the parking lot would deter vandals and thieves

A fun place to explore. You can hear traffic everywhere but it still feels like you've escaped to nature.
