29th
ANNIVERSARY
ADVERSITY
THANX
TO
BEST
WESTERN
They
charged
us
for
the
$100
deposit
but
it
was
not
returned
to
our
account
and
we
left
the
room
in
the
condition
it
was
received,
outside
of
towels
in
pile
on
floor
and
bedding
disheveled
from
having
been
slept
in.
The
site
states
that
it
is
returned
upon
departure.
I'm
certain
that
the
FTC
will
be
interested,
especially
since
our
room
was
minus
several
advertised
amenities.
Our
anniversary
came
with
a
touch
of
adversity
because
this
place
is
unconcerned
with
guest
experiences.
Macy
was
a
lovely,
and
kind
bright
spot
in
a
hotel
that
is
more
concerned
with
the
large
profit
margins
than
customer
experience.
Our
daughter
got
us
a
night
in
a
suite
for
our
29th
anniversary.
We
didn't
eat
on
property
because
management
cannot
staff
their
restaurant
appropriately.
We
were
given
free
breakfast
vouchers.
There
were
NO
GLUTEN
FREE
options
on
the
free
breakfast
choice
menu.
We
ordered
our
"free"
breakfast
and
received
an
unexpected
anniversary
surprise.
Hubby's
biscuits
and
gravy
were
exceptionally
odd.
The
sausage
was
unlike
any
we
had
ever
eaten.
It
was
smooth
and
square.
My
simple
2
egg
ham
breakfast
with
hashbrowns
and
an
English
muffin
was
inedible.
The
hashbrowns
appeared
brown,
not
from
being
cooked
but
from
being
a
mix
of
potato
peels,
burnt
oil
or
grease
and
the
dirt
from
an
unknown
amount
of
prior
meal
crud.
I
regret
even
putting
that
disgusting
mess
in
my
mouth.
I
immediately
spit
it
out.
The
ham
was
a
chunk
of
preformed
ham
fat
and
gristle,
covered
in
the
same
"browning"
material.
Just
as
disgusting
and
inedible
as
my
hashbrowns.
The
manager
that
was
on
property
was
weird,
cold
and
aloof.
Never
smiled
or
talked
to
us
when
we
were
in
the
same
area.
He
just
turned
and
ran
away.
The
room
was
lovely
and
spacious.
The
cleanliness
was
superb.
I
was
leery
of
using
a
jacuzzi
tub
in
a
hotel
but
the
tub
was
spotless.
We
enjoyed
it.
One
suggestion,
rails
on
one
or
both
sides
would
make
it
easier
for
guests
to
get
out.
It's
unfortunate
that
the
rest
of
the
property
and
staff
outside
of
Macy
and
Jennie
(our
waitress
for
breakfast),
were
so
lackluster.
The
fact
that
this
hotel
is
not
interested
in
guest
experience
will
be
its
demise.
Hubby
and
I
enjoyed
our
anniversary
but
it
certainly
wasn't
with
the
help
of
the
staff
at
this
motel.
☠!BE
WARNED!☠
This
place
also
puts
an
extra
$100
charge
on
your
credit
card.
We
were
NEVER
told.
This
could
very
easily
ruin
a
guest's
life
by
overdrawing
a
guest's
accounts.
Our
29th
anniversary
came
with
adversity,
thanks
to
Best
Western.
