Extremely nice and newly built hospital. The entire staff were all very friendly and helpful our entire 4 days during surgery and recovery. Cafe on the main level was very good and the prices are low. Breakfast omlette with ham , bacon, cheese and salsa was made fresh for me and it was only $2.80. Nurses and Doctors care was very impressive , checking on us very frequently to make sure we were feeling good and checking to see if we needed anything at all. The waiting room for the family was very warming and welcoming with plenty of comfy chairs and fresh coffee the whole time

First I want to start by saying I absolutely hate being inside a hospital; it makes my skin crawl. No offense intended to anyone/any place. I accompanied my wife to an out-patient surgical procedure today. The entire experience was outstanding. The facility is very nice, and more importantly, very clean. EVERYONE was nice, (this is rarely the case for me in hospitals); no arrogant/pompous attitudes, no impatient staff, everyone was super nice, and caring. And being in our home town of Derby, and not having to drive to Wichita was an added bonus. Highly recommend.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of how nice the nurse was and how quickly I was seen. I came in for urinary pain and i would also like to mention that it has been happening frequently. Normally, I would have just gone to my doctor, but it was a Saturday and my insurance doesn’t cover Immediate Care. A little background, I used to have a problem several years ago with painkillers and this hospital knows it. I was scared and in a lot of pain. As soon as the doctor walks in, he asks me why I came to the hospital, and I explained. He then says “why are you here though? Usually people come in here if they feel like they are dying or have serious problems. What do you expect us to do?” So I responded “ummm…tests to see what’s going on?? What can you do?” The doctor then explains that he can test my urine but as far as other testing, it would just take a lot of time and a lot of money and we might not find anything. Which is totally fine. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time but I felt like he didn’t care. First of all, I hate going to the hospital. I only go if I feel like I need to. He just made me feel stupid for coming to the hospital when I was scared and in a lot of pain. I just wish he had been more understanding.

We've had good experiences in the past with this hospital but our last visit we experienced the rudest nurses I've ever encountered. Very offputting. We've since experienced much more welcoming service at Westley.

I have worked at Rock Regional for almost two years now. It is has been great being a part of the team here as this hospital grows. I work in the Culinary Services program so I have been fortunate enought to work collaboratively with almost every department in the hospital. You won't find a staff that cares more about the community than the staff here at Rock Regional Hospital.

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. She immediately told me I was unable to have my newborn in the building. She said that he would have to stay out in the car with my mother in the middle of summer, they were not even allowed to wait in the lobby area that wasn’t even technically inside the building, there was no other people there other than a child waiting in the lobby by himself (even though she said there was a strict no child policy). Her “supervisor” approached us and was even more rude saying “at least it’s not 100 degrees today” and that they would be fine out in the car. It was unprofessional. I do not trust them and will never go back there again.

Gave two stars cause the two ladies in er admissions were so kind & caring. The er dr & er nurse need to be in different profession- so uncaring. Nurse was rude & didnt want to listen. Dr said he didnt have time to check into what could be causing my moms issue so follow up with her family physician. Parents have been to rock regional before & didnt have a bad experience- wish we could of had the staff we had before.

I’ll reluctantly give two stars. I don’t normally leave a review, good or bad, but this made me furious enough to speak up. The nurses were nice-ish at first but got quite defensive when approached regarding the lack of patient dignity & self-respect. Working in a healthcare environment, I understand they were trying to help complete a transfer for my loved one; however, 40+ minutes of begging for help until it was too late and then causing the patient to be put into an embarrassing, degrading situation only to say “It’s okay! We’ll take care of it!”… Yeah, it’s NOT okay!

From the moment I came in Dr. Li couldn't be bothered with my issue. He tried to talk me out of being seen, when I stated I am looking for answers as to not agrivate or cause further injury to my knee. His take was pain meds and a splint. Thus is why we have an opiate issue.....don't find answers just throw pain meds at it. I already live with constant pain and unfortunately take pain meds daily. I am looking for answers not drugs. Dr. LI Got very angry when I explained it was well with in my rights to have answers, CT, MRI, or ultrasound to confirm what soft tissue damage was done. (I am extremely concerned I have a torn ACL and was just left to continue causing injury because he wouldn't take the time to care for me.) DR. LI, Got up abruptly and left the exam room, sending a discharge nurse in. The worst care I have EVER received from a Dr.

I recently took my 3 year old son here who wasn't doing well at all. Fever was ranging from 102 to 104 all day and not drinking, eating, or acting himself. I have always loved rock regional for myself so I drove the 30 minutes just to take him there rather then these others emergency rooms. They were amazing with him. They made sure he wasn't scared, they showed me they would take care of my son like it was theirs. Wait time always depends on who comes in with what issue and how full the back is we waited about 2 to 3 hours for the whole visit together which is better then most places. I will ALWAYS go to rock regional.

The tiny, Hispanic security guard tried to tell me to drive to ER to make a delivery when the more efficient way was to use the main entrance. He was extremely rude, and had a superiority complex. Talk to people with respect without trying to use authority to make yourself feel better.

Emergency Room was fairly quick and efficiente. Admission was quick and easy. Room had a very nice view. Care was excellent. I felt thoroughly pampered. This felt more like a vacation than a any hospital visit.

Most horrible hospital I've ever had to go to. I came in because I collapsed due to chest pain which I've had before and told the doctors what the other hospital did to help me and they refused to help. I laid there suffering in excruciating pain with no help from the doctor or the rude nurse. I eventually just discharged myself to go to a real hospital. Please if your family needs medical care take the to any Wesley to get treated. Now I'm back and home and have collapsed numerous times because of the pain. The doctor should be absolutely ashamed of himself. I also have epilepsy and can't take muscle relaxers but he kept trying to get me to take them and every time I do it triggers seizures but this "doctor" did not care. Just please for your families sake go somewhere else. 0 stars if it was an option. I'll be looking into legal matters for this hospital and against the doctor.

Beware seniors with private insurance!!! I was waiting to do this review so Tracy at Rock Regional and I could talk. No response from her. I was to have a MRA tomorrow am and received call from Carla yesterday at 1:30pm about gathering info. At end of conversation she misled me to believe that per BCBS, I would need to make payment of 552.13 before test done. Something fishy because I already have bill for other testing of 505.00, my deductable is 1,000. I followed up with insurance and received info from Deb that what I was informed was incorrect information. If I would have kept appointment and paid the money, it was explained to me that after insurance billed, other tests would have been paid out and Rock regional would owe me a refund. How long would that have taken? I am on fixed income and started all this yesterday and 8am this morning. Still no follow up from Tracy at Rock Regional. It is now almost 1pm. I have contacted Cardiologist and requested this test to be done by another agency.

I went here after my primary care doctor told me to go to the ER. The woman that checked me in and the nurse were super nice.. The doctor finally came in never introduced himself acting bored and annoyed ask me a couple questions and left he never examined me listen to my heart and lungs or did anything a normal doctor does even though I had been sick in bed almost 4 weeks. I had to ask for IV for dehydration they did a couple test the nurse came back said they don't know what's wrong with me and sent me home big waste of time and money I won't go back to this ER by choice

The doctor on call Dr. Wong he is pretty amazing. However Michelle the nurse that is taking care of her has the absolute nastiest attitude. The IV is legitimately hurting my childs arm. We asked her to fix it and it was like we interrupted her nightly talk out at the desk. Then she did her snotty little whisper talking about my kid because I could hear her. Sound travels lady. If you are going to be a part of taking care of patients. Maybe you should actually like doing it Michelle. 10 out of 10 do not recommend her. Honestly this is our first time here and will be our last time. Everyone else has been amazing but Michelle you are the reason we will not be back. Our date seen is August 10th 2022.

We went here after not wanting to wait 3hrs in our car to be seen at MedExpress. We were greeted with warm smiles and seen right away. Welcoming and clean atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the doctor Nguyen was very quock amd knowledgeable and professional-along with his nurses. Thank you for making our visit comfortable.

I've been to the ER a few times and eventually had a surgery here. The ER and ICU staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I never had to wait very long. I only had issues with 1 ER doctor that did not take my severe abdominal pain seriously(I ended up needing surgery 2 days later) and that was very upsetting as someone who works in the healthcare industry. I knew something was wrong and was not treated properly. Overall this is the hospital I will use for any emergencies my family may experience.

These people are by far my favorite, I always suggest my friends and family to this place since they took good care of me last year when I had an ectopic pregnancy I took my daughter in last night for what it seems like covid systems and freaked me out though we waited for almost an hour my daughter and I didn't mind as they're doing their best to treat other patients and trying to make more room for other people, thank you so much for your hard work 💖

Very pleased usually depending on the ER doctor. It is a hit and miss depending on who you get. I had Dr. Baker this week and he was amazing. He got down to the issue and managed my pain. He even printed me a picture to show my the kidney stone. This will always be the ER I go to no matter what.

would not recommend. you might be better off dying. horrible care and just wait till you get the bill. you will wish you would have died. Pretty sure this is where doctors go when they failed their medical exam.

When I needed care this night that I went, it really was the best care I have received at any hospital ever. I have been to this hospital a few times for the same reason I was there that night, but I have not received the care like I did that night ever. Please keep up the good work it was honestly the best ! Thank you

This is the cleanest, most attentive, thorough hospital experience I've had in recent memory. I went to the ER before being admitted and was very impressed during my whole stay. There's an all star crew working there. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone!

Came here due to having problems breathing. It felt like someone was sitting on my chest as I was struggling for air. The staff here was amazing and fixed me up quickly lol. I was in and out within an hour. It’s been 3 hours since I left and I am feeling soooo much better than I did when I arrived.

Normally a good place to go but the recent nurse practitioner Tina Sholl, that didn't care to treat me or do any test for adoninal pain with known kidney stones was complete neglect. Not only did she barley talk to me, the nurses were the one that ended up giving me my results because "they beat her to it". She ended up prescribing me with meds I cant even talk due to lack of communication and I'm walking out even still will the severe pain. Will be taking action on this one.

We visited the ER on 5/18/23 for our 15 month old daughter. We received the absolute worst care we've ever experienced in our 7 years of being parents. My husband is a paramedic and I work in healthcare as well and we know better than to visit the emergency department for a "stomach bug". Dr Ott completely dismissed all of our concerned and stopped nursing after hearing fever and diarrhea and stated "oh she has the stomach bug like everyone else". That is not even what we had told the nurses we were there for, she had her 15 month immunizations 24 hours prior, (WHICH SHE'S NEVER RECEIVED THOSE VACCINES ALL TOGETHER BEFORE), she was having abdominal cramping, wouldn't stand on her own, loss of appetite, not drinking, severe diarrhea, 102 fever with tylenol, and lethargic. After Dr Ott looked at her eyes, ears and throat he tried to rush out of the triage room to only diagnose her with an ear infection, I stopped him and asked if he was going to even feel her stomach or address what we had told him we were concerned about, he stated "all babies do what she is doing and asked how we even knew her pain was coming from her stomach". But after his back handed comment he made sure to tell us he'd be happy to address ALL OF OUR CONCERNS. We gave up at this point, we knew the dr had made his diagnosis and was done with us but he went ahead and felt her stomach and of course and determined she was fine. We believe our daughter deserved much better. She should have had a full head to toe assessment regardless of what he THOUGHT was wrong with her from the beginning and we should not have had to ask for that. We were finally able to get in with her PCP as of yesterday and she has been properly diagnosed with Salomonella and no known ear infection in her left ear as diagnosed Dr Ott in the ER!!! Do better and listen to parents instead of dismissing them!

My experience with Dr. Cook and his team was outstanding. Having worked in medical malpractice defense for over 25 years I readily recognize high quality care. I would compare Dr. Cook and his team against any other ER team anywhere and I honestly believe they would prove to be either comparable or surpass any other team with regard to outstanding patient care.

Great experience with hospital, staff and Dr Zandrow. They were SO busy but did their absolute best, worked so hard and remained professional and pleasant while executing great patient care. Appreciated being signed up for the patient portal this time as well. Left full review for Dr individually on Healthgrades.

Rock Regional is the place to go in Derby. I went to the Emergency Room on Saturday and found that I was taken in within 15 minutes. I was evaluated, given a diagnosis and treatment in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you to Dr. Karen Valle and the wonderful nurses that worked with her.

Last year went to rock regional with back and stomach pains to find out I have 3 different masses in my body and then later from an oncologist found out that I had stage 3 cancer. Could not afford to pay my bill due to being laid off from my job and paying my own living bills while going through chemo. Not even a year later had a lawsuit served to me for less than 2000 dollars. Never in my life has this ever happened. They don’t care about their patients. They’re in debt and they WANT your money. Would not recommend going here ever. Go to the ER across the street or race into Wichita to Wesley. Now I have to go to court because I couldn’t afford to pay my bills even after I explained to them my situation and that I would start paying within the year once I started working again.
