I
went
to
Wesley
Woodlawn
ER
at
10:30
AM
on
5/5/2023
to
have
a
stomach
pain,
along
with
three
days
of
diarrhea
addressed.
They
did
everything
needed
to
determine
what
was
causing
the
stomach
issue.
A
urine
analysis,
pointed
out
a
possible
gallbladder
problem.
I
was
told
that
the
Woodlawn
location
did
not
have
the
technology
to
further
confirm
that
the
gallbladder
was
the
cause,
and
I
would
have
to
have
the
nuclear
testing
at
the
main
Wesley
hospital
on
Hillside
in
Wichita.
I
was
told
that
I
would
have
to
take
an
ambulance
for
the
short
trip
across
town
to
that
location,
to
which
I
stated
that
my
two
daughters
at
the
ER
with
me,
who
were
very
capable
of
taking
me
to
the
Wesley
Hillside
location.
I
was
told
that
I
would
have
to
start
the
process
again
when
I
got
to
that
new
location.
The
ER
doctor
told
me
that
he
would
be
admitting
me
to
Wesley
Hillside,
but
couldn’t
make
that
happen
until
a
room
was
available.
The
time
was
now
approximately
7:45
PM.
I
told
the
doctor
that
I
was
not
staying
in
the
ER
until
a
room
was
available,
and
would
be
going
home,
and
once
a
room
was
available,
I
would
head
to
the
Wesley
Hillside
location.
Between
8:00
&
8:30
PM,
a
room
became
available,
and
an
ambulance
transported
me
to
Wesley
Hillside.
Talking
to
to
ambulance
crew,
I
was
told
that
this
is
what
they
do
for
Wesley.
Pickup
from
the
ER
and
transport
the
patient
to
the
main
Wesley
location.
Explain
to
me,
WHY!!!,
after
pinpointing
my
problem
being
a
potential
gallbladder
issue,
that
I
could
not
have
gone
home,
and
my
family
take
me
to
the
Wesley
Hillside
location
versus
an
ambulance
trip,
once
a
room
was
made
available.
I
was
well
enough
to
make
that
trip
alone.
I
was,
also,
told
if
I
did
that,
the
checkin
visit
at
Wesley
Hillside,
would
have
to
start
again,
to
which
I
have
a
problem,
since
a
doctor
employed
under
the
Wesley
umbrella
should
be
able
to
tell
the
new
location
that
he
is
sending
a
patient
to
a
awaiting
room.
I
spent
the
night
at
Wesley
Hillside,
and
patiently
waited
for
the
nuclear
testing.
I
had
not
eaten
since
the
after
the
night
I
was
admitted
until
I
went
to
the
nuclear
testing
area.
I
was
taken
to
the
nuclear
testing
room
later
in
the
day.
I
asked
the
nuclear
tech,
if
she
had
a
busy
day,
and
she
said
no,
she
was
on
standby,
and
called
in
to
complete
the
testing.
Explain
to
me,
WHY!!!
You
have
a
patient
needing
a
test
performed,
and
the
function
to
compete
the
test
is
not
staffed
and
must
be
notified
(Weekend
Testing)
to
be
there
the
first
thing
in
the
AM.
Your
staff
did
well
in
taking
vitals,
taking
blood,
and
giving
necessary
medications,
what
caused
the
delay
getting
the
patient
testing
when
he
was
available,
since
the
night
before.
After
all
was
said,
and
done,
the
gallbladder
problem
was
eliminated
as
a
cause.
The
timing
of
the
testing
caused
me
to
spend
an
extra
day
in
the
Wesley
Hillside
location,
versus
being
discharged
on
5/6/2023,
if
the
nuclear
testing
would
have
been
completed
at
an
earlier
time
on
that
day.
One
bright
spot
in
my
stay
at
Wesley
Hillside
was
a
nurse
named
James.
This
individual
knows
what
patient
care
and
concerns
are
all
about.
He
is
a
nurse
with
24
year’s
experience
in
the
nursing
profession.
You
are
fortunate
to
have
him
on
your
staff.
He
is
a
very
caring
and
compassionate
individual.
He
gets
5
Stars!!!
I
am
anxiously
awaiting
your
genuine
response
to
my
concerns
around
this
matter.
