😠 If I could give 0 stars I would! My mom fell and broke her hip. She had surgery the next day. She had trouble coming out of anesthesia so was in recovery for 3.5 hours. She FINALLY got back to her room. Not one person came in to check on her for 4 hours! No post op care at all! They hooked her... People often mention care, hospital, staff, nurse, time, nurses, doctor, great, billing, days,

If I could give 0 stars I would! My mom fell and broke her hip. She had surgery the next day. She had trouble coming out of anesthesia so was in recovery for 3.5 hours. She FINALLY got back to her room. Not one person came in to check on her for 4 hours! No post op care at all! They hooked her up to a vitals machine but no one ever came in to check it. She was mentally not right for three days due to too much morphine so didn't get into rehab for four days. The hospitalist told me that the nurse relied on the IV morphine and kept her on it to long instead of taking her off and giving her pain pills instead. Yes, I will be addressing this due to having to spend two extra days in the hospital. She was never bathed, no bed change, no catheter care. The nurses never accessed her when they would come on shift. They would give her meds and never be seen again. The floor was so sticky and never cleaned. Day shift nurse Shawna on West hall was very rude, never around and acted bothered any time we asked for anything. Nurses never even accessed her one time. I had to help a family member across the hall take her husband to the restroom because she couldn't get anyone to come in. I stayed with my Mom 24/7 because I was scared to leave her knowing no one would care for her. HORRIBLE CARE!

After being spoken to by the absolute rudest doctor I have EVER met, I was infuriated! I even asked him why he was being so rude to me! This ER doctor was very at ease & very comfortable being down right nasty to me. I am sure he is so comfortable & secure in his position that his hatefulness is passed on to his understaff. Maybe, it’s because of doctors like him who are allowed to speak to patients & fellow employees in such a manner that make the nurses rude (reading past complaints). The nurse/cma that we had was very nice & profusely apologized for HIS ugliness. I had every intention on making a formal complaint & had received the name & address of whom to contact. However, after reading these reviews, it seems nothing will become of my complaint, just a canned response. I remember when Dr Idbeis was building this facility & I was told he wanted a top notch facility so that the patients could receive the best care. What happened? I always heard great things about this place with just a few negatives (which is expected) since being built. Sadly, that has seemed to have changed. I’m reading way more negative than positive reviews. After my experience there, me or my family will go elsewhere. So sad this place has allowed such rude, uncaring, reckless, liable doctors to remain on staff.

Unethical billing practices! We went to their ER because my daughter had a possible head injury. We didn't wait for a room, and that was great. The doctor and staff were nice enough. BUT then they billed my insurance twice-- once for the doctor and once for the visit. So now I am stuck paying two co-pays for one visit! I have taken my daughter to Wesley before, and this has not happened. Beware the medical billing at this place!

My mom was transported there yesterday via EMS. A small stroke was suspect because she was out of it, couldn't even remember her own name! They checked her out and released her back to her Assisted Living. She was the same as when she left! She had leftover food in her mouth and came back with a male's paperwork! She was immediately sent via EMS to a different hospital where a diagnosis was made and is being treated. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS HOSPITAL!!

It’s impossible to reach a living person in billing, and they do not return calls. Attempted to create a patient portal to see if I could get my issue addressed that way, and it says the page doesn’t even exist.

First time in my life that I had a regular procedure and I was throwing up during the procedure and quit breathing. I also called in to make a 700.00 payment on my account and they reward me with hitting my credit with a collection claim. People are doing the best they can. And you treat them like that? I will never go back!

Extremely high level med center in Andover, at 21st Street North and Andover Road. I encountered nothing but outstanding staff members here, from the front desk service to all of the professionals assisting the loved one that I was visiting. The building is attractive and well maintained, making it comfortable to be inside. I witnessed incredible care from KMC workers every day that I came in and highly recommend it for health service to those in the area.

This is by far the last place to go without insurance! Not only will they bill you the highest possible charge possible..but they will NOT TAKE PAYMENTS..1 visit to e.r. 13 years ago 20,000 dollars..they will put u in jail...they will garnish you...stay away! Read reviews...this is a problem..there billing is not right..they are FOR PROFIT..not like other hospitals! I will be there celebrating the day this place finally closes ...p.s save your robot reply! It is what it is! And contacting you all means nothibg!

I just had an issue that required me to go to the ER. I was able to call the ER to ask how long the wait would be. Lucky for me I got right in. No wait. Wonderful staff and nurses. With tests they quickly got me in to surgery. I was admitted for one night. The hospital is a very nice facility. My doctor happened to have done 2 other surgeries on me in the past. I love Dr. Jace Hyder! I was very fortunate he was there. The food was good and lots of choices. All in all a great experience. Thank you to all the people that took such great care of me!

Billing Dept needs to be fired. Period. I keep getting bills in the mail over the past 6 months that are completely WRONG. Either they forget to run through one insurance or none of of them. . Showing I owe a certain amount yet my EOB's prove I don't. I have 2 insurances. I've told them this over the Phone numerous times And in writing. I've even sent them my EOB's WITH the bills. I'm extremely angry. What the hell else am I to do to prove I don't owe you. I was just recently sent to collections on amounts I DONT OWE. Your billing Dept has NO clue of what they are doing. I even have voicemails from your billing Dept stating they are taking care of my insurance claims and apologize for this and that. That didn't stop you from sending me to collections over amounts I've proven I don't owe you. I've even received a bill last week and it wasn't ran through EITHER of my 2 insurances once again!. Jesus Christ. Someone get their billing Dept a brain. Thanks for ruining my credit because your absolute incompetence.

First time visiting the facility and upon walking in, there was no one at the desk. When the receptionist returned, she didnt greet or anything but handled me a mask and ask for insurance card. She was very uninterested. Not sure if she was having a bad day but that is absolutely the wrong way to treat any patient.

I took my son in on Sunday, January 21around 5pm. Didn't finish til almost 11pm, with no diagnosis. I will mention the nurses were great at their job in all aspects, however, there was only one DR I believe. Had a referral for Monday and a prescription wrote for pain with misspelled last name. It is now 230pm Monday the 22nd, and still hasn't been corrected and re-sent. Have called numerous times to only have gotten the runaround, meanwhile my son has experienced increasing pain, not to mention I've missed a full day's pay, due to this seemingly small fix. Completely inexcusable, and very unprofessional in my opinion. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place, nor will we return.

The nurse was as rude as any medical professional I have ever been around. No one identified themselves. I have had outstanding experiences here this time they were cruel!

My 86 year old mother fell and broke multiple pelvic bones, and was taken to KMC. The ER experience was average, but once she was admitted, the service and care was exceptional. Over 3 days, mom was given care by numerous staff members and each of them were very caring, encouraging, and positive. When it came time for mom to leave and go to a Rehab facility, we were disappointed, as we knew it would be hard to replace the awesome nurses, physical therapists, etc. She truly had as good of experience as can be expected when dealing with such pain and discomfort. I wish I knew everyone’s name to personally recognize them, as they were individually and collectively outstanding. Thank you to the staff of KMC.

A trip to the ER is so easy here! There was no wait. It is a small hospital with 4 ER rooms, but when a teen has anaphylaxis and forgot their epi pen it is the perfect hospital. We saw a dr and put nurse quickly, meds were pushed quickly and 4 short hours later we went home (4 hours is required for observation) paperwork was brought quickly so ER could discharge at the 4 hour mark. There are 2 vending machines close by with bottles coffee, ice tea and snacks. They take cash or charge. Everything was clean in good repair

My dad had an outpatient procedure this week at KMC and I have to say his nurse Ginny was so awesome. She was kind and communicated so well with us from pre-op to the moment she helped my dad get into the car to leave. She was reassuring to my dad and it really helped reduce his anxiety. Nurses really make a difference with the hospital experience. We are so grateful to her.

I spent the night in this hospital and received excellent service. I checked in at 0600ish and left around noon the next day. The check in process was easy. I met a nice intake nurse and anesthesiologist, even the check in receptionist was courteous. The food was also pretty good; my favorite was the banana nut bread. My mom got to stay with me too! Kylee was my nurse for a majority of the stay, after my surgery, and she was very compassionate and caring. Thanks: )

I believe that this hospital deserves recognition for the staff they have, and how available their care is to people outside of Derby and the central Wichita Area. I will always remember them in helping me.

I had an unexpected stay at this hospital a few days ago. I wanted to give a huge shout-out to the Cath Lab team, doctors and nurse's. Everyone was very patient, professional and caring. Thank you for that!

I just had total knee replacement surgery at this facility on 5-24-2022 and was extremely pleased with my nursing care and medical care. One night nurse, named Beth, really went out of her way in providing care to me. The personal care techs, the physical therapist, and occupational therapist were all great! I've had multiple surgeries in the past 5 years at different facilities and this experience was the best. They did their very best to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. The food was also very good.

KMC started out strong, appearing to be a quality healthcare provider, but quickly lost steam. Staffing levels became unacceptable and their financial practices are terrible!

ER is never fun, but I so appreciated the patient care tonight. The nurses, MRI tech, and doctor were very kind and attentive.

Good luck getting any money owed to you...been waiting since April 5 for almost $700 they owe me. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks, which is unreal. Now sitting at 9 weeks and was told it would be maybe another week. Would they wait that long if the average person owed them money??? What a joke...

This was my first time at this hospital and I had higher expectations since it was in Andover. Boy, was I wrong to have high expectations. During my visit, I was in the waiting room for an appointment there was another patient a seat away from me. Their doctor came out and told this patient that THEY HAD CANCER in a BUSY lobby… like what? It was so unprofessional! Also this is the hospital you go too to die.

I have been going for six months now to do my bloodwork I would recommend getting another way of putting there patients in the waiting room and forgetting them to sit and wait for over an hour. This has happen several times it’s getting old.

Came in with unbearable pain and severe dehydration due to strep throat. Asked for an iv and never received one. All they gave me was an oral pain killer and swabbed me for strep. Dr kept interrupting me and wouldn’t allow me to explain what was going on. Nurse wasn’t helpful either. I wasn’t very happy, but once the shift switched over the morning Dr was amazing.

I took my brother who is 28 to the ER because he had previously been diagnosed with pneumonia and was having a hard time breathing. The ER staff was amazing and he was admitted. After keeping him for only two days they discharged him on a Tues evening with no further testing even though his results in the ER did not look good. By thursday morning he was back at another ER being life flighted to KC ICU where he has been for over a week fighting for his life he is in heart and lung failure along with other complications.
