I had a puppy that passed away, no fault of the clinic, she passed on the way there. However, this clinic who took her body dropped the ball in a big way. I was told they had gotten a clipping of her fur and had made a paw print for me to pick up when I was ready. The day I decided I was ready I called beforehand to let them know I would be coming by to pick up those items, I was assured they were ready and to give them a call when I arrived. I arrived shortly after 5:00, called them to let them know I was outside to pick up my puppies fur and print. I sat in the parking lot for an hour, no one had come out or called me. I called them back 30 minutes into my wait and was told they were looking for the items and someone would call me back shortly, another 30 minutes goes by and nothing, I was able to catch a tech who was outside and I approached her, only to be told they didn't have the items, that there was a mistake and she left it at that....no apology or anything. So I left empty handed after an hour. I ended up getting in contact with Tori, a higher up manager, shortly after who told me there had been a mix up and she would try to figure something out, she said she'd call me back and that was the last time I heard from her. My puppy had already been sent to K State to have a necropsy performed, I sent her after I was told this clinic had already gotten the fur clipping and the paw print. I eventually hear from Diana several days later who is trying to do what she can to rectify the situation. I didn't hear back from anyone for a week and had to call back to find out anything.... I spoke to Diana again and was informed by the time she was able to get a hold of the appropriate people at K State, my puppy had already been cremated. Diana told me Tori was going to reach out to me sometime after Diana and I had first spoke, but Tori did not. I don't understand how a mix up like this can happen and close to no compassion or personal responsibility is shown. I believe Diana did her best and I appreciate that, however the entire experience has been horrible. It was hard enough to lose my 11 week old puppy so suddenly, but this place made it so much harder by telling me they had completed these items when they in fact didn't, the serious lack of communication from higher up management and the close to no compassion shown during such a heartbreaking time. My puppy deserved better than to be someone's mix up and I deserved better than to be left hanging during this process. Tori should be ashamed, as should the tech who I approached after waiting an hour in the parking lot. I certainly hope you treat the next puppy and owner better than you did us.

Not only is this the worst veterinary clinic I've been to, it is one of the single worst customer service experience I've ever had. The staff kept me waiting in the parking lot for four hours, periodically bombarding me with texts and phone calls about why I should apply for credit to spend vastly more than the $300 I had authorized. They led me to believe my cat, Vermont, was suffering from a leg injury, and I needed to give them more money to avoid amputation. $700 later I took my cat to an actual vet. Within ten minutes he told that Vermont had a severe spine injury, and no amount of money would restore him to a normal life. After euthanizing the cat who was needlessly made to suffer an extra day in misery, I began calling this business to get a refund on the money I had spent on false pretenses. It's been over two weeks and no one there has even attempted to help me. Now I'm stuck with Small Claims Court and a complaint to the state board, all at my own expense. Needless to say, find another animal hospital and don't go to this one!

The doctor was very compassionate, but I didnā€™t like that I had to leave my dog there and couldnā€™t stay by his side so he wouldnā€™t get scared. Sadly, my dog (Ozzy) didnā€™t make it šŸ˜. I do believe they did their best to save him, and were able to keep him comfortable till I made it back to be with him. Thankfully, I was able to hold him, say goodbye, and be with him, but ultimately, the doctor recommended a compassionate euthanasia. Letting go has been so painful šŸ’”. I found comfort in the guidance they provided me though. The doctor gave me a warm hug. Also, they mailed me a very nice card with their condolences. You donā€™t realize how much those little things matter till your dog passes. They donā€™t take all the pain away, but do really help.

I highly recommend going here if you have an emergency. Our old pup was struggling when we got home and we rushed him into the emergency vet due to our regular vet not being on call that night. I was able to fill out paperwork to get checked in in advance before we got there. We got there and we did wait a long while before they were able to get to our dog but they took great care of him and us when they got around to us. We knew what then outcome would be going into the emergency vet but the nurses and vet took great care of us and our dog in the process. She recommended what we already knew what we were going to have to do. We agreed and she helped me fill out the paperwork and rubbed my back as I was crying because saying goodbye is never easy as so many pet owners understand. She moved us to a private room and they brought our dog to us. They let us have as much time alone with him as we wanted before having to say goodbye. They were so gentle with him and treated him as if he was their own personal pet. We said our goodbyes and they handed us a clay imprint of his paws and helped us walk through the steps of the cremation options. Very gentle, kind hearted people and honest. They didnā€™t even run any unnecessary tests just to make a few extra hundred bucks. They were very straight forward with what needed done. We hope to not have another emergency but if we do we will be coming back to here. I really do highly recommend.

Great experience with Dr. Heather Millard treating my dog with her heart defect. My dog is doing well and the doctor's many calls were appreciated. Her explanation of the surgery was detailed and informative. Wichita is lucky to have Dr. Millard as an Animal Cardiac Surgeon. My dog will now have a normal lifespan thanks to the great services at the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita. The facility is brand new and inviting. Thanks for the positive experience I had here with every employee onsite. I can't recommend this facility enough!

Overall a great experience with them! They were very timely, communicated well, and took great care of our dog!! People who complain about the pricesā€¦yes itā€™s an emergency vet and they are open 24 hours a day with all in house services. That service comes at an increased cost, but very reasonable in my opinion. Thank you for taking great care of our dog and getting him back home to our family in good condition!

I'm an ER nurse and my husband is a flight paramedic. We are no stranger to medical emergencies. Then our fur baby had seizures tonight and we didn't know what to do. We were scared and shaken. We brought her here and the staff was amazing. They immediately brought her back and got her taken care of. She is admitted for the night and the staff has been sending pictures and updates frequently. We cannot thank you guys enough for your patience and kindness! I know our fur baby is in excellent hands.

This place displayed so much compassion and professional friendly service to me when I was in a panic rushing my dog to them. We didnā€™t know at the time but later when I transferred to another vet we found out my dog had severe pancreatitis. Before the diagnosis the doctor and nurses helps my dog receive care throughout the night and got him to be as comfortable as he could be and they helped inform me while I was barely holding it together. I recommend this location, they were amazing. He overcame and he got to become a big brother this Holiday season! (He looks sooooo happy lol)

Brought my cat Mooney in because he had been attacked by dogs and the staff and vet were amazing. The entire staff were kind, gentle and a pillar of light during a horrible time. They let us stay with Moon after he passed but wrapped him up so I could see his still perfect face and none of the injuries. They took paw prints and even cut his whiskers for me to keep they were so respectful and understanding. Even a couple of days later when I spoke with them about the exam the vet did afterwards and final arrangements they were gentle and kind.

Super communicative, staying in touch with me constantly through the whole process. They were open about their pricing, offering to send me to less expensive places. Ultimately I chose to stay with them to examine my cat. They explained each step to me in very clear terms. The Veterinarian was very kind and sent care instructions with me. Everyone was kind to my cat and I. I even discovered (the day after) that they had removed a matted section of fur on my sweet kitty. Above and beyond on all fronts!! I definitely recommend them!

I have had some less than desirable experiences with the ER Vet in the past. But I will tell you that this weekend, the surgical team and Dr Heather Millard came through and saved my 15 month old babyā€™s life. Dr Millard was compassionate, accurate, genuine and precise every step of the way. She diagnosed something no one else could and went in and spent 90 minutes inside of my baby trying to find out what was causing the issue. She ended up removing over 100 stones from his bladder and urethra. She could have Taken the easy way and performed an Urerthrotomy (new urine hole) and left my sweet boy having to relearn how to potty. But her skill and experience told her to try one more thing before she went that far. She called and asked permission to try this first. Iā€™m so glad she did. I could in all confidence say do whatever you would do with your dog and know my baby was in good hands. And the last ditch effort was it. A much less invasive surgery and my sweet boy still pottys as he did and is whole. After surgery I was given a cell number to call or text as needed. She answered day or night and within literal SECONDS.. I can never thank her enough for what she did. Ever. Her surgical nurse Jeremiah has the patience of Job. I called every 3 hours and he was patient and kind. I wish I could find both of them at a local vets office for regular care lol! They were that amazing!!! Dr Millard. We love you, literally. Thank god for you. Like I said. Youā€™re now our favorite person! Megan and Dino!

Our situation was not critical. Our dog had a sore that would not stop bleeding. The staff and veterinarian was very nice. Especially Dr. Erin. You can definitely tell they all care about the animals. Hopefully we won't have to come back. But happy to that they there if we need them. We know the prices are high here, but at 10:30 at night, what would you expect. The price they gave us was less than we thought it would be.

They helped our little Melvin and they are the sweetest people around. Very caring! Update: we went back for checkup and he is doing great. Dr. Heather Millard is the best and so knowledgeable. She saved us a ton of money with unnecessary tests and cut right to the chase. I couldnā€™t be more grateful for her! Thank you again:)

I am absolutely over the moon about my experience with Vesh and Dr. Heather Millard! Dr. Millard and her team made it possible for my cat Arie to live a normal life again. Arie had a condition called mega colon. After a year and a half of other treatments, we were getting no where but worse. Surgery was the only option for Arie. My consultation with Dr. Millard left me feeling confident and hopeful about the procedure. She explained everything beautifully and was open to every question I had. The follow up, the constant communication during and after surgery were amazing. It was obvious that Dr. Millard truly does care. We are two weeks out from surgery and my Arie is healing beautifully and feeling like her former self again. I am forever grateful for the amazing service and experience that I received. I highly recommend Vesh and Dr. Millard!!

The entire staff was kind, compassionate and helpful. I took my dog Buster in when he was in very bad shape, severely dehydrated and low oxygen levels. They did everything they could to find out what was wrong with him. They always asked permission before running tests/radiographs. They did surgery and fixed him. Dr Millard and the team saved his life. Thank you ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

I made an appointment with Dr. Winter to take a look at my pupā€™s teeth that were wearing down. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, she did not panic when I told her I was deaf. She simply pulled out some paper and wrote down what I needed to know and was very communicative on what was happening and what to expect. Dr. Winter was very kind, knowledgeable, and clear on expectations and options. We had a great, nonjudgmental discussion on what items are hard on her teeth and what are ok to give her to chew to keep her teeth as healthy as possible. (Her teeth wearing down was absolutely my fault, I was giving her bully sticks to chew which caused the issues.) He was very gentle and careful with my pup. The technician who checked us in was awesome also, very kind, and very clear on my options, the pricing, and took her time discussing options to find a plan that fit what would work best for my pup and I. When I picked up my pup, the technician took her time to go over the discharge instructions and made sure I understood what to do and what NOT to do, to make sure my pup is taken care of the way she needs to be taken care of, post-operatively. Everyone was fantastic at communicating everything despite my being deaf and everyone understood that my pup was nervous around new people so they all respected her space and if they had to handle her, they took their time. Would definitely go back as they have the animalā€™s best interest in mind all while making sure owners are comfortable with everything! šŸ’›

Great Place! Dr H Millard is wonderful. Did some serious surgery on my Stnd Poodle, Bodhi. He did very well & was able to come home the next day. Everyone very nice & they took great care of him. If you have an emergency or need a Specialty Surgeon it's the place to go!

Our cat, Joey, who was 14 got real sick this past weekend. We took him in for examination, we werenā€™t wanting to do a whole lot because we thought it was just an intestinal blockage. He was sent home with meds, but didnā€™t get better. Upon taking him back, we found out through tests that he was in dire straits and wouldnā€™t last long. After tears and discussion, we decided he would be better going to kitty heaven. The doctor and facility were extremely compassionate and let us spend his final hours with him. Thank you so much for all you did for us and Joey. He will be sorely missedšŸ˜

Wish I could give negative stars! I was referred by my after hours vet due to my dog needing surgery. Mind you my dog also needed to be checked for an embolism. Was told that it would be hours before he would be seen. Then when I started to ask more questions they told me they would no longer see my dog tonight! Whoever is in charge of this place do better! We bring our animals to you for help. I feel like you wouldnā€™t have any patience if we had another one here. Our animals are basically our children so they she be treated as so. Along with us being treated right when we are concerned!

Dr. Brock was from nominal. Even though I may have jumped the gun and took her in when she didnā€™t need anything, he was there calm collected and didnā€™t treat me like I was dumb. He explained everything to me and took me serious and make sure everything was OK. He also called me later that day to to see how Reda was doing. Iā€™ve never felt more taken care of by a vet. 10 out of 10 experience. Thank you so much, Dr. Brock I really appreciate everything that you did and how you took care of us.

My family & I were referred to Dr.Winters & his staff for our fur baby, by our hometown Vets office. When we arrived, from the beginning up to the very end, we were treated like nothing but family. Doctor came in, sat down & spoke to us for almost 45 mins. explaining the good, the bad & even made us feel VERY relieved by saying, ā€œyour dog isnā€™t a plastic toy, heā€™s a family memberā€ and with that, my family & I will speak nothing but praises.

We can not THANK YOU enough for Everything you did to help our Baby Alice! You showed more Concern, Care, and Compassion in seconds and the entire 40 min we were in your clinic, then the Vet I been going to for 33 years did in the Hours we were at their place. Your entire Staff were so respectful, honest, and upfront right from the second we arrived! NOTHING else mattered to you then her Care and Comfort. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY EMERGENCIES. THANK YOU AGAIN!
